Love your creation I was wondering how did you figure out the firing order ?

Thanks! It's a bit complicated, particularly for this engine. I'll try my best to explain.
Usually, I'll start with the crankshaft for an inline version. In this instance, for an inline 10. This should be 5 angles with 2 cylinders assigned to each angle. Example: 0-1-2-3-4-4-3-2-1-0 where cylinders 1 through five are on the first 5 crank pins, and 6 through 10 are on the last five pins.
It's then a matter of going through 1 360° rotation and assigning the first 5 cylinders to fire. Ideally, no 2 cylinders right next to one another fire directly after each other. To help achieve this, I choose cylinder 1 (angle 0 on the front of the crank) then go to the back half of the crank for the next cylinder which would be cylinder 9 (angle 1). I would then follow the same pattern until all 10 fire in 720° of rotation.
HOWEVER, for this engine, this didn't work correctly for some reason. Probably due to miscalculations on my part (I'm not an engineer!). So I actually borrowed a firing order from a Cadillac V20 (yes, it exists, but only on paper from what I could find), but only from one bank. It's far from ideal and balanced, with 2 pairs firing right next to each other. But it worked well enough to run okay. To make it into a V configuration, it's just an even-fire system where the same cylinder on the opposite bank fires 36° after the first. This simplifies the firing order and allows for a smooth output. To balance it a bit better, I could have "flipped" the order on the second bank. Due to way I originally designed the crank, though, I would have had to start over and I couldn't be bothered tbh.
Hopefully, this wasn't too confusing. I'm always learning and improving as I build these things. This is an older design of mine and if I started over today, I could probably improve it much more. Thanks for checking it out!

@@icemanv93 you're a saint for even _trying_ to explain this lol
I'll have to check back on my desktop where I can really try to parse it into something my brain understands but it already seems well-explained. Thanks bud

Why are you using an older version of the sim?

I do have the latest version installed, but it doesn't seem to play well with my older engine builds for some reason. So I just completed this and a few others on the older build. The new version does have more features though and I'll likely start my new engines on that instead in the future.
