    10:36 yes you can fit golf mk2 control arms on a golf mk3 subframe. i own a 2000 Seat Ibiza, it comes from that from factory, I upgraded to mk3 control arms, tie rod ends and axles to get the wider front stance on my car. It comes with a VR6 subframe from factory with mk2 control arms.

      Thanks for the comment, yes you misunderstood me, this mk2 has mk2 arms and now a mk3 subframe the same as the 6K Seat's, what I was saying is I don't think the standard mk2 bush will fit into the mk3 subframe. Your Ibiza 6K arms are mk2 style but with mk3 bushes as standard.

      @@RestoDesignsnando I did put mk3 subframe under my mk2 this winter and left the stock mk2 control arms and bushes (the ones with gaps), I haven't noticed any problems yet.

    i'm a bit confused. Both the mk2 and mk3 uses the same bushing with the same centering 17mm sleeve... how is the hole 14.5mm???
    I did install the tt bushings on my b3 passat tho i never checked if it has lip inside the subframe to hold the bushing...

    • @RestoDesignsnando
      @RestoDesignsnando  4 месяца назад +1

      The mk1 and mk2 use that centring sleeve, I can't remember ever seeing that on the mk3 due to the subframe having smaller holes and lips inside. I'm not too clued up on the B3 setup, maybe the early B3's are like mk2 and the later one's are like the mk3. Of corse it's the other way around, stuff comes out on the Audi and Passat platforms first and then down to the Golf's.

    Nice video, do you know if a b4 passat subframe will fit in a mk3 golf?

    Какая знакомая проблема, тоже весь подрамник изрезал что бы открутить этот болт

    When dropping mk3 vr6 subframe on mk2 gti, do you also put control arms and mk3 steering rack?

    • @RestoDesignsnando
      @RestoDesignsnando  4 месяца назад

      No you could keep the mk2 steering rack and lower arms, just put mk3 or mk4 bushes in the arms.

    • @RestoDesignsnando
      @RestoDesignsnando  4 месяца назад

      That is what this car has, everything mk2 apart from the bushes and subframe.

      Thanks, I want to put 288 big obd2 vr6 brakes. So I was just wondering

    • @RestoDesignsnando
      @RestoDesignsnando  4 месяца назад

      @@lucasngwenya6713 oh ok, then you'll need the "plus 5x100" setup as well, which is lower arms 5x100, driveshafts 5x100 and hubs and the 5x100 anti roll bar plus longer steering arms. to use the 288 front brakes.
