Yes it is. I bought 3 since it was released 2 from BG and 1 from my local store, and in reality I'm only use 2 of them LOL ... because it's enuf for my daily charging from 1s to 6s and I'm also can charge an old 3s 5200mAh dji Phantom lipo (without balancer) to use it for field charging. I was thinking to buy hota duo before this released, but then I change my mind at the 1st time saw the spec. and a review about Q6 Nano. It small, light weight, accurate, reliable, poweerfull enuf, fast, had ISDT technology, easy update FW, and cheap! For me (I'm only fly quad) ... It's better to have this charger 2 or more than only have 1 "big" charger multi port. Never had to use my parallel charging board gain. If 1 broke ... you still have another to use without worry :)
Yep, that's a good strategy. My primary charger is a hobbymate d6 duo (same as the hota), the ac/dc version. I think 2+ dual channel chargers is more convenient because for example in the d6 duo, the m6d etc I don't have to select the settings for each channel, while when using individual 1-channel chargers you have to change the settings on each one.
I have been happy with the M6D, much more accurate than the M6, M8 and M8S. But if you don't want to get a ToolkitRC charger again, a safe choice is always ISDT or SkyRC. SkyRC B6 and ISDT Q8 are nice chargers well within your budget. I haven't tried the ISDT P10 but it looks like a very good deal right now on banggood. I personally use the AC/DC versions of the Hobbymate and HOTA D6 Duo as my main chargers but they are more expensive. Now they both have a cheaper dual channel DC-only model (HOTA P6 and Hobbymate D6 Dual Lite) and judging from my experience so far with the D6 Duo, I would definitely consider them too.
I got one of these last month. Compared to my Q6 pro the voltage is off by +0.03v and the fan rattles and vibrates as it's loosely slotted in a groove with no glue or screws. That said it seems to work and has two new features called DC power and Destroy which are useful. Not sure if I like the new button vs the q6 pro scroll wheel but I am slowly getting used to it.
I personally don't like the button much, I prefer the scroll wheel too. Maybe I am lucky and the scroll wheel of my q6 lite is still working well, I have heard a lot of people with problems.
@@muteFPV Yeah same mine works fine and I had read a ton of other people had issues. But then I'm careful with my equipment and only use minimum actuation force. I can imagine if you jabbed it hard often enough it would fail leading to further force being applied in frustration lol.
True, I am mostly worried about dirt and dust creeping in there because I use it on the field often. I have no idea if it can be disassembled and cleaned.
@@muteFPV I never took mine apart so can't offer any info on that although it should hopefully come apart it looks like it does. The reason I got the Nano is I broke my Pro's balancing on cells 2, 3 and 5 because I made up a lion pack but I used poor quality wire for the balance leads and little breaks in leads happened till eventually one day after untangling the leads after a long range session I plugged it in and the channels got overvolted. The charger works but only if cells 2, 3 and 5 are the same voltage and below the other cells. Otherwise the first cell of 2, 3 or 5 to reach the charge voltage stops the rest of the cells catching up and it ends the charge unbalanced. I got tired of manually balancing the cells after 3 months and got the Nano lol.
Hi Do you know how I can see the charging current per cell? It only shows me the voltages on each cell, but I don't know how to make it show me how many mAh each cell has charged.
Ah I didn't think about checking for an update on my Q6 Lite! Let me know if they included it in other firmwares too! Although I expect it to be fairly slow, maybe draining with light bulbs is better.
@@muteFPV There was only a minor revision that popped up for my Q6 Pro. The changelist didn't say anything about adding full discharge, but in any event I couldn't get the firmware update to install. I've read some older threads stating that folks haven't had success updating with windows 10, only windows 7. The ISD Go app doesn't show any information until you plug in an ISDT device, so I don't know anything about firmwares for the other chargers :(

No nothing, it is not detected by windows. I tried to connect only USB to power, connect the usb with a battery to power ... all the same result does not seem to see it. @@muteFPV
@@muteFPV oooo.. That's what that is.. Hmm... Well since this video posted.. Are there any new or old lipo/lihv chargers on market for (charging/balancing/discharging) 1s to 4s .. Realistically i won't be flying 6s anytime soon as I can't afford those setups..
I don't think you will find a (reliable brand) charger for cheaper that this one. Unless you want one with a built in power supply that will work on AC voltage (it won't be cheaper but there are a few budget options)
I'm looking for a charger good that u review this chargers the one I got is a year old and im not sure if is doing what it suppose to do so ill take a look on the one u are showing us thank u.
@@muteFPV im using the b6v2 80 w from HTRC im not saying its bad it works but some times i wonder if it charge the bateries the other day i want it too storage my batteries so when it finish dooing the storage it did beep too tellll me it coomplet the storage .. now i dont know if it did what it was suppose because when i check the batteries the volltege was too high.
Thank u Im going to keep checking out i need to learn more about how to charge my batteries the right way and if im going to need a charger I will go for it have a great day my brother.
Everyone has perfected brands and or features but I’ll be honest on my test and experience toolkitrc has many more features on the dual chargers and way faster discharge amperage but again this would be for certain people that need such amperage charge and discharge to be honest , now I didn’t like the time it took to charge my lithium batteries and after calibration I didn’t like the output it charge every battery I got one battery got super hot and it works fine but can’t trust on this charger ( m6d and m6 and m8s they have great feautres but in charging I can’t trust so inaccurate after all in my needs I only want a charger that does what it’s supposed to promise, btw don’t tell anyone but the usb output never goes 2.1Amp lol just 0.95-1Amp max so yeah if they lie once they should’ve fix ghat but idk I have to go for isdt
I agree, Toolkits have a lot more features compared to other chargers but especially the M6 and M8S were inaccurate. I have had much better results with the M6D but they started on the wrong foot so it will take time and a good track record for "us" to trust their gear. ISDT has had issues too but in terms of accuracy they have been a very solid brand. As for the USB output I am not sure if it is the phone side or the USB output side that is limiting. As far as I know phones don't charge constantly super fast, so they wouldn't pull 2.1A all the time. Anyway, it is a handy feature to have a USB output, I don't mind if it goes up to just 1A but specs should be accurate too, that is true.
Great in-depth review as always!
Thank you!

Fantastic review, mate! 😃
Looks like a fantastic option! I love competition in the market! 😂
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Me too, especially in the low budget options!
Which one will you recommend under 70$ which is reliable and is calibrated nicely from factory
It depends, what features do you need? AC only / AC and DC / DC only? Lots of Watts or lots of channels (at least dual)?
@@muteFPV no dual no ac just one which is calibrated and works nicely one which doesn't overcharge or kill lipo
