The South Pasadena Gap (Interstate 710) - A Flyover of a Freeway That Was Never Finished

Interstate 710 is one of LA County's principal economic routes, but it never ended up reaching its intended destination in Pasadena. For fifty years, resident groups, the Department of Transportation, and the state judicial system were at odds over whether and how to complete this 4.6-mile gap. Take a flight across the South Pasadena Gap, complete with a view of CA-710, downtown Pasadena's very own stub freeway.
