The majority of stage lights use stepper motors. I have not seen any that do not. I would recommend a light grease. Would not recommend a spray like WD40 or Q20
@@ChristopherdeVilliers Hi. I'd still really like some help from my other comment, searching for a good distro, recently got a light that has l620 twist lock, did a few hour sof rsearch and nothing except f or twist lock plugs, I mean an actual distro that I could plug multiple fixtures into. i know you said you use 240v 50hz, but I'm wondering what *exactly* you are using, like what brand and like I said, maybe some inexpensive ones? I'd really appreciate, thanks.
Christopher de Villiers thank you so much, do you know what type of grease (brands) are typically good for this application? I know there are so many types and mixing them is bad so I want to be able to identify it.
i have the Mac Krypton 250 and i get the RGER error the magnetic indexing circuit malfunction ( e-g sensor defective or magnet missing) did you know where is that sensor? Located?
Hi Sonido, firstly I have to state that I am not at all familiar with that unit, but all of these machines have a mechanism to index where the unit is throughout its movement. The unit I had just used a switch but better units will probably have opto or magnetic sensors. See if Martin have a service manual available for your unit. It might have a section for indexing troubleshooting. Then I'd recommend you figure out if the sensor is faulty. Sometimes a good cleaning will fix the problem. Sometimes not. I will read up a bit and respond later
Hi Lyle, we use 240V 50Hz where I live. I think you can try ebay but I honestly have no idea where you can get ones for the north american electrical system.
@@ChristopherdeVilliers which one exactly? I'm getting some martin mac's and pretty scared. also wondering if I can plug the distor int oa surge protector? Can't hardwire anything.
Well actually yes you can it’s possible cause I did it on a chines knock off and it worked it wasn’t as bright as the standard 575 lamp but it got quieter
Hi I also thought about doing something like that but honestly, I think it is just too much effort. You would also need to get a very bright AND GOOD QUALITY LED and driver. At the end of the day I would just buy something form Chauvet or ADJ that is already LED. I tried using a 50W LED instead of the HMI bulb and it was so dim and the colours were awful.
aonde você achou esses dois
If you still have that old spot moving ahead, can you please go over the menu controls on the menu
Very helpful & informative. I am new at DMX and am very interested at the insides of what I am using, thx.
What problem if bottom fan not working?
How do you know the fan is not spinning properly? (7:43)
Hi, when I turned the fan I could feel that the bearings are worn out. You will know when you feel it.
Yep, large magnetic ballast for the HMI lamp. This fixture has been around a few years.
What types of motors do they typically use on dj lights? And what lubricant can I use on them?

Christopher de Villiers thank you so much I appreciate your help i will clean the sensors I hope that’s the problem 😃
Christopher de Villiers thank you for the info
what distor do you use for above 120v fixtures that aren't overpriced?

If they are Macs than it should explain how to switch the running voltage in the user manual
Stage lights are very important for concerts
It looks similar to a Mac 250 Entour/Krypton. The base is different though and the lamp is a 575 watt as opposed to a 250 watt.
One of my 575w HTL Moving head lights have a cooling fan problem and the fans don't work so that means the lamp could get killed by its heat
It's possible to replace the 575 light bulb to LED light
No, because the HMI has a different colorspectrum (the intensity of the different wavelength) than an led.
