@jeffersononetwo It's all about having fun here and watching this video put a big smile on my face! Now I know why my friends told me to put my face in the videos. It's extra cool to see you rockin' while you play. :-)
Freaking awesome man. Love some Great White. Leads sond pretty good to me! I am working on lady red light maybe I can post it up soon...I've been slacking!
@PDXguitarfreak Many thanks, Dave! I figure you & I have pretty much the same likes ... 1991 - man, that 'Hooked' CD still rocks. I used your help & worked the Vegas a bit ... really liking it! The audio was done in REAPER & I panned it 75% ... I do the headphone thing as well - can't wait to see you show us up on the collab - lol
Great job Jeff! I love this song too! I'm listening with headphones because the family is still asleep, and I love the sound of the different guitar tones/parts in each year - Your tones are always amazing bro. Btw, I'm trying to record my part of the collab today!
awesome dude. dabbling with the plexi eh? haha I know you favor the recitifier tones. I bet a ton of those 80's dudes used hotrodded plexis. This band had a few gems i will admit.
@MATTNMISSY Thanks, Matt ... you like Great White too huh? Man, that was a staple in my 80s & 90s ... I played some mean air-drums to them & Ratt - hahaha
@satchbooggy Oh yeah ;) I do love the rectifier sounds but had to trim the treble back on it - I used it on the lead with some chorus. I really like the Marshall sound better now tho ... guess I'm dialing the grit back a few notches - hehe. Still working the leads since I've for so long not done them -- pretty much because you pushed me from time to time ;) You put me to shame!!
@kdenn71 Right on, Kenyon! I couldn't agree more :) I just like to rock & it's by accident that the split videos are always small (full screen does right) but it makes my face look small, which could be a good thing - lolol - enjoy your videos as well Bro!
I play by ear mostly .... my newer videos are of me playing Bass. I really like playing the Rhythm Guitar parts on these - Great White has some really killer tunes. I played through a Peavey Vypyr 75 then went to a small 4-ch mixer ... from there I went RCA connector to a dedicated SoundBlaster THX sound card & used Reaper for audio and Sony Vegas Studio HD for the video capture. Thanks for the interest man!
@LeopardJoy :) Thanks much, Joy! Thanks for the fave too! You really helped inspire me a long time ago with your show so I appreciate your comments. Yeah, email me anytime - I'll share what I know - lol - might not be much ... our friend Dave (PDX) helped me also with the Sony Vegas - this is the second time I've used it - I like it!
@TheJAMALONG Thanks, Mike! I worked on this one right after I mentioned it last night - picked it all by ear so some are not exactly right, but mainly wanted to give the Sony Vegas another go - plus, I just love the song!
@cdg282 Thanks for the awesome comments bro! Yeah, it would be three years this Fall since I started playing ... I haven't played much guitar recently tho - learned to play bass & joined a band! Haha! Posted a few of those -- thanks for watching bro!
@kdenn71 Hey, thanks man! Still not as good as some of these other guys (video or guitar) but I'm working on it :) I still drool over your sweet Leppard tones ... thanks for watching bro!
@PennybagPedro Awe man, I play by ear ... I'm tuned down 1/2 step - power chords on 6th & 5th strings (2nd + 4th fret) & (4th + 6th fret) - going from memory. If I can find a TAB I will send it to ya.
@bradski01 Thanks, Brad! I had take carer of that recording itch I had ;) It had been a month since I'd even tried something - thanks for the comments bro!
@hameron ... right on bro!! I have never had a teacher but I bet you could play it better - wish someone would have taught me some GW :) I used to rock with this back in the 80s/90s and still do!
@Shelbones01 ... thanks dude! If I can just get my fingers used to it - it does get a little esier with practice I suppose (duh!) - lol. I've got a long way to go to catch up tho :)
@col33145 Thanks, Colin ... I was wondering how Sony Vegas would turn out with the audio - if it would mess with it or anything. Thanks for the comments!
@metalmaniac6665935 Thanks! I am really attempting to do better on my lead stuff - I've neglected it but I really rather jam on the rhythm, personally :)
Hi Jeff, you got good taste and good fingers, interesting music from the past, anyway, I got ? for you, what's the tone setup for this tune, is this (desert moon) standard?, thanks in advance.
@sageguitar70 Thanks Sage! If i could play half as good as you I'd be happy ... guess you have many years going in -- I'm on my second year with little practice of scales :(
i need a huge favor. I want to teach myself like that, first recording the rhythm and then the lead. That song is awesome and rollin stoned by great white also. what kind of recorder do you use? When u r learning a song, how do you go about it. i find myself getting impatient and fall back on songs i already know. tHANKS for any tips feedback.
Ten years after but this is great !!!!!
Thanks man - I appreciate you watching!
