To be fair, Ichika has a lot of potential that isn't explored Her trauma with being abandoned by her friends and waiting to see if Saki will ever recover, and based on one of the flashbacks, we can assume that she had potentially been bullied. Vocaloid songs were all she had Hell, iirc in one of her birthday cards, Tsukasa even mentions how much she's changed. She used to be so outgoing, but became more closed off I wish we could see more of her past and give her more development

Being a n25 main, whenever i played ena events, they used to bicker, but akito always said or did something that implied he cared about her and was worried for her ( how he tried to talk to their father about being too harsh on her, how he tried warning her that she might regret her decision about quitting art etc ) i havent done the summer festival story yet so maybe im missing out on more but yeah anyway shinonome siblings 🔛🔝

new-ish to the game and haven't read all of the event stories yet, especially the leo/need ones honami just made a really awful impression on me in the l/n "main story"...her part of the story seemed poorly written to me. the whole "i'll fix my bullying problem by not being friends with anyone outside of my class" thing just makes absolutely no sense, and the fact that it actually seemed to work makes even less sense. her lack of loyalty also pissed me off, and i don't like how much i relate to her cowardice. i'm sure she gets better, but right now she just really rubs me the wrong way.

I have a lot to say so I’ll say it all at once (enjoy watching me rant (?)) I need to get this out of the way, ppl who say Akito haters haven’t read his event stories. I have, I’m aware of his character development and well the development was quite major. I don’t hate Akito, I don’t actively dislike him, I like him sometimes, he has good writing but overall he’s my least favourite. The inferiority complex, mocking etc is very relatable to a lot of ppl. Ppl handle different situations in different ways and Akito has his own, I understand that. However for me that does not justify what he said and did to An and Kohane in the main story (yes bringing up the “past Akito main story” move). Even if his dreams were crushed he definitely did not need to do a lot of things he did and well he also definitely did not need to slap toya even if had felt disappointed and mad. I probably shouldn’t say more, Akito fans are very defensive and entitled to their own opinion and I am too so let’s just keep it at there.

I hated on Enna so much at first because I could relate to her a bit too much. Like I was seeing my life all over again, and I hated it. But I love her character so much now. Just needed to work through a few problems irl lol

either read all of this before coming after me or don't read it at all i don't hate minori, i like her, but i just like everyone else slightly more so i had to pick her as my least favorite for watching this video normally i would say i don't have a favorite or least favorite i basically like everyone equally, the margin between minori and the 19 people tied for first would be is minuscule to the point where i always will always say that everyone is equal no i don't hate mmj, i like all units equally (besides l/n which would be my least favorite unit) and i like mmj's songs the most (tied with niigo) in the story it felt kinda awkward when reading some of her lines even in the fandom wiki page, it says "Minori wants to be just like her (haruka) and praises Haruka to a sometimes uncomfortable degree." i don't read many event stories and none of the card stories, and in the ones i have, minori was just not that major of a factor in the focus character's development. maybe that's why i just don't sympathize with her as much as the rest of the characters and i don't think she's "boring" or "bland", of course not. as i said i just feel awkward sometimes when i read her dialogue or she doesn't appear a lot in the event stories i read so i find it harder to i guess "like" her? i'm introverted and i'm trying to socialize outside of my friend group more, and i get annoyed by people who are blindly optimistic, so that could play a part in this since minori is extremely extroverted and optimistic, possibly more than anyone else in the game
As someone who's least favorite character is Akito (spoilers for those who haven't read the vbs stories from their main story to Light Up the Fire): In elementary school Akito played soccer a lot and thought that he might be a professional soccer player, but when he saw people who were incredibly passionate about it and realized he didn't have that same passion, he quit. It's a point that comes up later in the main story that Akito is shown to hate half-heartedness. During the summer festival, after being dragged out it it by Ena who wanted Akito to bring her shoes, Ena saw that Akito was captivated by the music and asked him if he wanted to try it out. Fast forward a bit, Akito watches Rad Weekend and becomes a fan of RADder. He later finds out that rad weekend was RADder's last performance before they disbanded (which he and the rest of vbs would find out was because one of their members Nagi had pancreatic cancer). One day during middle school he's invited to perform and crawl green as a guest and absolutely bombs. He gets upset but is consoled by Ken (An's father and a member of RADder) and continues music, eventually meeting Toya and inspiring him to become a street artist duo, forming bad dogs, with their goal being to surpass rad weekend. In the main story, Akito and Toya believe that teaming up with An would be a good idea because she is also looking to surpass rad weekend. When the two visit weekend garage (a coffee shop owned by Ken), they find out that An found a partner, Kohane, forming the vivids. When Akito asks what kind of experience Kohane has in singing she says that she hasn't had any formal training or the like which upsets Akito as he believes she doesn't know what she's getting herself into (aforementioned half-heartedness). Nonetheless he gives Kohane a fair chance in her first live performance to prove herself. When Kotaro shuts off the power during the vivids' performance, An is able to continue singing when Kohane wasn't which upsets her. When Kohane and An leave the livehouse, they overhear Akito and Toya confronting Kotaro on the sabotage and believe that the 3 of them conspired against Kohane to which Akito lies and tells them that he did. Kohane runs away after that but then comes back the next day (with the coolest hat ever I might add) and after the vivids' second performance, Akito respects Kohane and Toya starts believing that he's the one who's half-hearted, quitting bad dogs. After Akito has a conversation with Meiko where she tricks him into thinking he's drinking alcohol when he's been given oolong tea as a metaphor for things not always being how they seem at first glance, he confronts Toya and they're able to reconnect. With vivids and bad dogs sharing the same goal they form vivid bad squad. Akito and An wrote the music in vbs' early days with Toya eventually joining them. He loves pancakes and cheesecake and hates carrots just like his sister, has a sweet tooth, and doesn't like drinking black coffee (revealed in an area conversation between him, Toya and Len). Mizuki calls him Otouto-kun (lil bro). He's afraid of dogs and getting scared by a werewolf costume in the halloween event is how Shiho was first able to remember him when she visited weekend garage to pick up fliers for Leo/need's one man live that Honami asked Kohane to make. Yes I do read the stories. Yes he's still my least favorite. I don't actually hate Akito I just like everyone else more. I think his actions towards the Vivids were poorly explained if at all, especially considering the backstory reveal he gets later, I believe that he shouldn't have treated Kohane the way he did. I know the writers probably didn't think that far ahead but a character inconsistency is a character inconsistency nonetheless.
I definitely agree! I think for me, Akito just left a really bad first impression on me, and the reason for his being a jerk wasn't explained well enough later. That and I like everyone else more lol. But I still appreciate his writing and character, I think he's well-written :)

I like everyone except Minori (I don't hate her, but I very much do not like her) and it's BECAUSE I read the story (I read everything minus the cards I don't have and am a story focused player). Her obsession over Haruka creeped me out and made me very uncomfortable only to be amplified 10 fold with the amusement park event.

"Mizuki dislikers don't exist" Me: Aside from thier voice I don't like Mizuki. As much as I understand them, I don't like Mizuki lying to Ena in her event. About Mimori , but I can't like her because she reminds me of Aya Maruyama from bandori who is like Mimori but is a better character. As for the Shiho part I don't like her because on how out of nowhere of her wanting to become the best musician is, Unlike Chihaya, Yukina and Sayo who have understandable reasons on why they were serious towards music. There is no need for Shiho to be that serious in the first place. For An she's the least interesting character in VBS and is used as a plot device for Kohane or the other characters to grow.
I love how for me it's like: Be a guy or emo = I don't like you (KAITO, Akito, Toya, Tsukasa, Rui, Mafuyu. Len is not here because he has that femboy vibe) Be an LGBTQ+ icon or a female virtual singer = I love you (Mizuki, Ena, An and Kohane. Mizuena and Anhane real. Having Saki come back into school thinking ‘we’re all still friends’ for the sheer reason she was in the hospital, without further explanation, just makes her look dumb. I think she has a lot of potential and I enjoy some of her events, but her depth could definitely be a lot better

I need to get this out of the way, ppl who say Akito haters haven’t read his event stories. I have, I’m aware of his character development and well the development was quite major. I don’t hate Akito, I don’t actively dislike him, I like him sometimes, he has good writing but overall he’s my least favourite. The inferiority complex, mocking etc is very relatable to a lot of ppl. Ppl handle different situations in different ways and Akito has his own, I understand that. However for me that does not justify what he said and did to An and Kohane in the main story (yes bringing up the “past Akito main story” move). Even if his dreams were crushed he definitely did not need to do a lot of things he did and well he also definitely did not need to slap toya even if had felt disappointed and mad. I probably shouldn’t say more, Akito fans are very defensive and entitled to their own opinion and I am too so let’s just keep it at there.
i’ve read every story and i’ve decided i like every character but my least favourite is probably ichika. i don’t know why or when i decided i like her less than the others because she’s really pretty and has some beautiful cards but i guess i got tired of her being on my screen every time i opened the app before the title screen change lmao, still love ichika and her vocals though! or because i got four ichika cards while pulling for colorfes touya and im still mad lmao
As someone who loves all of them… Yeah, no real least favorite honestly, sure, some like Tsukasa, Saki, and Mizuki are my favorites, but I love them all! As for Minori, it pains me to see that not many people like her… Especially as someone who actually relates to her, optimism and all…
I hated on Enna so much at first because I could relate to her a bit too much. Like I was seeing my life all over again, and I hated it. But I love her character so much now. Just needed to work through a few problems irl lol

Yeah, i don't like Kohane bcs how "cutesy gurlll" she is. Ik she had a good development and still developing but i just cannot like her. Especially her voice. Normally i try to not judge ppl by their voices but her "cutesy" personality + voice makes everything more worse. Tho props to Kohane for overcoming her stage fear!!

i don't hate minori, i like her, but i just like everyone else slightly more so i had to pick her as my least favorite for watching this video
normally i would say i don't have a favorite or least favorite
i basically like everyone equally, the margin between minori and the 19 people tied for first would be is minuscule to the point where i always will always say that everyone is equal
no i don't hate mmj, i like all units equally (besides l/n which would be my least favorite unit)
and i like mmj's songs the most (tied with niigo)
in the story it felt kinda awkward when reading some of her lines
even in the fandom wiki page, it says "Minori wants to be just like her (haruka) and praises Haruka to a sometimes uncomfortable degree."
i don't read many event stories and none of the card stories, and in the ones i have, minori was just not that major of a factor in the focus character's development. maybe that's why i just don't sympathize with her as much as the rest of the characters
and i don't think she's "boring" or "bland", of course not. as i said i just feel awkward sometimes when i read her dialogue or she doesn't appear a lot in the event stories i read so i find it harder to i guess "like" her?
i'm introverted and i'm trying to socialize outside of my friend group more, and i get annoyed by people who are blindly optimistic, so that could play a part in this since minori is extremely extroverted and optimistic, possibly more than anyone else in the game
As someone who's least favorite character is Akito (spoilers for those who haven't read the vbs stories from their main story to Light Up the Fire):
In elementary school Akito played soccer a lot and thought that he might be a professional soccer player, but when he saw people who were incredibly passionate about it and realized he didn't have that same passion, he quit. It's a point that comes up later in the main story that Akito is shown to hate half-heartedness. During the summer festival, after being dragged out it it by Ena who wanted Akito to bring her shoes, Ena saw that Akito was captivated by the music and asked him if he wanted to try it out.
Fast forward a bit, Akito watches Rad Weekend and becomes a fan of RADder. He later finds out that rad weekend was RADder's last performance before they disbanded (which he and the rest of vbs would find out was because one of their members Nagi had pancreatic cancer). One day during middle school he's invited to perform and crawl green as a guest and absolutely bombs. He gets upset but is consoled by Ken (An's father and a member of RADder) and continues music, eventually meeting Toya and inspiring him to become a street artist duo, forming bad dogs, with their goal being to surpass rad weekend.
In the main story, Akito and Toya believe that teaming up with An would be a good idea because she is also looking to surpass rad weekend. When the two visit weekend garage (a coffee shop owned by Ken), they find out that An found a partner, Kohane, forming the vivids. When Akito asks what kind of experience Kohane has in singing she says that she hasn't had any formal training or the like which upsets Akito as he believes she doesn't know what she's getting herself into (aforementioned half-heartedness). Nonetheless he gives Kohane a fair chance in her first live performance to prove herself. When Kotaro shuts off the power during the vivids' performance, An is able to continue singing when Kohane wasn't which upsets her. When Kohane and An leave the livehouse, they overhear Akito and Toya confronting Kotaro on the sabotage and believe that the 3 of them conspired against Kohane to which Akito lies and tells them that he did. Kohane runs away after that but then comes back the next day (with the coolest hat ever I might add) and after the vivids' second performance, Akito respects Kohane and Toya starts believing that he's the one who's half-hearted, quitting bad dogs. After Akito has a conversation with Meiko where she tricks him into thinking he's drinking alcohol when he's been given oolong tea as a metaphor for things not always being how they seem at first glance, he confronts Toya and they're able to reconnect. With vivids and bad dogs sharing the same goal they form vivid bad squad.
Akito and An wrote the music in vbs' early days with Toya eventually joining them. He loves pancakes and cheesecake and hates carrots just like his sister, has a sweet tooth, and doesn't like drinking black coffee (revealed in an area conversation between him, Toya and Len). Mizuki calls him Otouto-kun (lil bro). He's afraid of dogs and getting scared by a werewolf costume in the halloween event is how Shiho was first able to remember him when she visited weekend garage to pick up fliers for Leo/need's one man live that Honami asked Kohane to make.

I don't actually hate Akito I just like everyone else more. I think his actions towards the Vivids were poorly explained if at all, especially considering the backstory reveal he gets later, I believe that he shouldn't have treated Kohane the way he did. I know the writers probably didn't think that far ahead but a character inconsistency is a character inconsistency nonetheless.
I definitely agree! I think for me, Akito just left a really bad first impression on me, and the reason for his being a jerk wasn't explained well enough later. That and I like everyone else more lol. But I still appreciate his writing and character, I think he's well-written :)

I like everyone except Minori (I don't hate her, but I very much do not like her) and it's BECAUSE I read the story (I read everything minus the cards I don't have and am a story focused player). Her obsession over Haruka creeped me out and made me very uncomfortable only to be amplified 10 fold with the amusement park event.

As for the Shiho part I don't like her because on how out of nowhere of her wanting to become the best musician is, Unlike Chihaya, Yukina and Sayo who have understandable reasons on why they were serious towards music. There is no need for Shiho to be that serious in the first place.
For An she's the least interesting character in VBS and is used as a plot device for Kohane or the other characters to grow.

It’s not that I dislike Saki but I think Sega did shit with here Character depth. Having Saki come back into school thinking ‘we’re all still friends’ for the sheer reason she was in the hospital, without further explanation, just makes her look dumb. I think she has a lot of potential and I enjoy some of her events, but her depth could definitely be a lot better
