My first shroom trip started like this. When I closed my eyes I saw black and then black colors as if I was looking down upon them that accompanied noises and then grew and turned into musical shapes and formed into a massive robotic being still with black colors like a rainbow on a sheen of black oil but in pixelated sheets like shale and as it grew larger the sound became immense. Good times.
I've had one very similar to this as well. I had my eyes closed, laying, and I started to see faint blue lines and felt as if I were flying over a futuristic city with vastly more advanced technology than what we have. I could tell it was a city or some sort of networked machine (like a city in a sense) I was definitely looking down on it, though. I could occasionally hear high pitched "squeaks" with accompanying waves of feeling over my body. I eventually concluded that the "squeaks" were the "entities" commonly discussed in Tryptamine type hallucinations; the fairies, gnomes, elves, demons, etc,. The visions then transitioned and I felt like these "entities" were watching and standing over me while I was laying. Honestly, it really sounded like squeaking, high pitched, incomprehensible speech...I felt like they were talking ABOUT me, but that I couldn't understand them. I NEVER felt threatened and the entire experience was incredible. The aforementioned "waves of feeling over my body" were these "vibrations" that would start near my feet and culminate in my ears, it really felt like my ears were vibrating or ringing. This happened more intensely after I felt as if the "entities" were discussing me and standing over me. My interpretation was that they were discussing healing me, and that they were using some form of advanced technology to do so...or that somehow Tryptamine compounds unlock parts of the subconscious and I was in a sense "witnessing" my brain doing this for itself... I was most certainly tripping, regardless of what the "reality" is...I understand the improbability of aliens or intra/extra dimensional beings communicating with me through an entheogenic compound. The ethnobotanist and "psychonaut" Terence Mckenna, claimed that Psilocybin was quite interesting though because of its uniqueness in nature; he was quite interested in its quality as THE ONLY, or ONE of THE only "4 phosphoryloxy indole" on the planet... and that if we were to ever look for an "alien" signature, we would probably want to start with compounds and chemicals that had very isolated phylogeny.
Here is an example of him talking about this thought, but he did many times (ruclips.net/video/ljy3TH1T0jk/видео.html). He did delve in a fair bit of pseudo-science but...When the thing you're studying is highly illegal in nearly every part of the world, and regarded with heavy scrutiny, and highly subjective...How can you conduct objective scientific research? I will always, highly recommend Terence.
Truly fascinating compounds and I hope they become less stigmatized in the near future so that we can leave our archaic views about them behind and truly, scientifically, spiritually, explore them.
I wish I had a good first trip. Nah, my friends decided to do acid on a ferris wheel and I'm mad scared of heights but they told me it would calm me down. Guess what happened then /ret :)
@@ohokay4663 my first trip was on Halloween night out in the city with friends. Can't say it put me in a good frame of mind, I found the world to be a total freakshow (not surprising on Halloween, I guess). The second time was at friend's house. Again, I bad tripped. Even had a full ego death. Came to thinking about profound thoughts about society and the nature of existence, about how we are all really nothing, and it upset me. Don't take psychedelics anymore for this reason. It's usually a disturbing experience. I tend to have deep thoughts about how messed up the nature of existence is without tripping, I don't need to have that amplified.
It wasn't all bad though. It does give you a deeper understanding of yourself and your surroundings. And while ego death is terrifying, it also puts a lot of things in perspective. The spiral patterns I saw on walls were cool. Nothing compared to DMT though, where it felt like I was able to see the pure distilled mathematical forms of objects, unfiltered through my brain's preconceptions of what they should look like. Everything became a black spiral outlined with light, floating in space. They had specific shapes, I knew what each object was, but they all appeared as spirals to me. That was the inspiration for my profile pic, actually.
@@amaze2n I can handle a lot so it wouldnt have been so bad if the sky wasn't open to me. I have like... severe kenophobia so I hate looking up at the sky. Mind you I like being high up, but I usually like looking down at all the people. I had this great epiphany of the insignificance of humanity as compared to space, and how the open air can be choking instead of freeing, and I think that made my kenophobia Worse somehow. Did NOT help to see people's shadows bleeding out of their edges and watching the sky contort into shapes it shouldnt be able to hold
Yup I was definetely born in the right time period
From about 3 mins onwards, certain parts make it appear as though you're looking up at a wormhole, as if the patterns were a ceiling. Other times, it looks like a floor with a protruding spike in the middle.
This is one of my favorites of all time show fascinating just love it❤😊🤩

I've always wondered, how exactly do you color a fractal?
The Mandelbrot set is about numbers on the "complex plane". This plane would normally be displayed as a coordinate system where every point/coordinate is the sum of x = real number + y = imaginary number (= the root of -1 = i). Now some guy named Mandelbrot made a relatively simple equation that is iterated "n" amount of times. Every time the equation is calculated (every iteration), it is using the result from the last iteration. The first iteration starts with zero. It looks a bit like this: z[n+1] = z[n]² + c (but youtube comments don't display it correctly I think.)
Mandelbrot's equation is remarkable in the way, that it is very simple but under iteration produces very chaotic results. Any change, no matter how small, of the complex number that you put into the equation can have the iterated result escape/blow up into infinity whereas the other value was stable and never "blows up to infinity". All numbers that are stable and never blow up, are part of the Mandelbrot Set. All numbers that eventually do blow up to infinity under N amount of iterations are not in the set. So the original Mandelbrot Set is really just two-colored. The complex number is either in the Mandelbrot Set (black) or it is not (white).
But then the question arose "how long/how many iterations until it blows up to infinity, if ever?", which really means "how many iterations do I put this complex number through until the result is equal to "2 or higher"?" because for some mathematical reason, the moment the result of an iteration of the Mandelbrot equation with your chosen complex number is 2 or higher, we know for sure that it will blow up to infinity.
This is where the extra colors come in. Complex numbers (remember, they're points on a 2D graph, the sum of a real number (x) and an imaginary number(y)), which only go through few iterations in the Mandelbrot equation until they blow up, are very unstable, so they get whatever color, say pink. Then there are other complex numbers, which maybe blow up (= result of n'th iteration of mandelbrot equation = is 2 or higher) after a thousand or a million iterations, so they are relatively stable and so they get a different color, maybe green.
So what you see in these Mandelbrot fractal videos, is really "just" a representation of "stableness" of every point-coordinate on the graph of the complex number plane. Everything black is in the Mandelbrot Set, everything green is outside but arbitrarily deemed stable because it took over, say, a thousand iterations to blow up (have a result >=2). and everything that blew up within 1000 iterations, was arbitrarily deemed unstable and thus colored pink. You can make very elaborate fractals by assigning a bunch of different colors to different values of stableness. The result are these artistic looking fractals.
But it's fascinating because you can zoom in infinitely because there is an infinite amount of complex numbers and on the fringes of the Mandelbrot-set the tiniest of change in the complex number suddenly produces a relatively stable or super unstable number or even a stable number, that is part of the Mandelbrot set. It's chaotic!
If this didn't make much sense... it was my first try at explaining this, so my apologies. I also likely have made a bunch of mistakes because I'm not a math guy. If you still want to find out, there are a ton of videos about the Mandelbrot Set (that aren't just fancy zooms) that can explain this to laymen like us.
