0:44 this scene saved me from various diseases, saved my family from the black plague, helped me with my grades, saved my dogs from getting ran over by a car, helped my dad get a raise, helped my aunt get a raise, helped my brother with his grades, helped me find a suitable dream, helped my family gain money. This scene is forever going to stay in my mind. His vision sure is detailed.
That ending is adorable tho.. Him being scared of the client but brightens up to see the traveller... Plus I love his va... Its giving princely but playful and yet professional

0:44 is a life saver, my autophoia disapeared, this scene is so divine.. im intrigued by this amazing flow of a animation. the curves- i mean the vision is really detailed.. its so heavenly i might cry of happiness.. all my mental disorders have vanished im truly obliged and cheerful for a happy and heart melting scene like this. They took Alhaitham’s demo and put it on steroids. Kaveh’s demo is probably a nice nod to it- Alhaitham’a featured a few playable characters who were interested in knowing him, whereas Kaveh is a social butterfly and knows mostly everybody.
Most relatable character to me so far as a fellow artist and fashion designer, yes even his backstory to his ideals speaks a LOT to creatives and idealists around. I'm ECSTATIC he exists!!

I've been in the position where I got my own creations stolen from me and lived my younger years being isolated and made fun of while trying to always reach out to others only to be backstabbed. Felt like I wasn't good enough and my idealist self to this day sometimes suffer from it, which is why aside from Nahida's ideals and philosophy (which she approves kaveh of btw!) By character personality and artistic ideals her and kaveh are ones I see myself in. Now I've grown better in both empathizing greatly yet also being wiser in dealing with ppl and issues - balancing both emotion and logic to put things into action while not letting too much empathy overwhelm me is much easier with a new environment and supportive ppl tho! I hope kaveh gets a great support system outside of all haitham too hehe

it seems really impressive that kaveh has so much hype. i dont feel like its often that a four star has as many people talking about them and vibrating with excitement for their release- usually this kind of hype that im seeing in fandom spaces is for the five stars. i am also in this group i cant wait to bring this dweeb home. hes gonna be real excited to get to move in to my teapot, cannot WAIT to hear those dialog lines lol.
He’s also the second 4-star dendro character. Most of the current dendro characters are all 5-stars (Nahida, Baizhu, Al Haitham, and Tighnari). If you couldn’t get them, you would have to settle for either Collei or traveller.

I like that with the backround characters Kaveh's always slowly and calmly going in the opposite direction from them, towards us. Dori is the only one approaching him tho also from the back. But then he RUNS in the same direction as Alhaitham 😂 It's just funny how different their interactions are portrayed)) Also bless hoyo for showcasing Kaveh's vision oh so nicely✨😁😏

the VA's always do an incredible job, but Ben REALLY knocked it out of the park with Kaveh. There's so much life in this character, we could all sense it from the moment we first saw him at the end of the archon quest! Super excited to pull him and see more of him in game and events. side note, I could see this man crying at the look of the hotels in Las Vegas lmaoo
I like how some of the designs to Dendro characters' skills looks so... techy. For example, Nahida's CA looks like the computer mouse dragging and creating the square thing in the computer screen, while the ground in her EB looks pixelated than "nature". Alhaitham, to an extent, looks like his kit is high-tech for some reason with his chisel-light mirrors. And now there's Kaveh whose kit is designed around his Mehrak, a robot suitcase.

The amount of giggles and YASS SLAY that I let out while watching Kaveh's demo is just immeasurable. Can't wait for him to be released! He must be my most favourite 4-star character out of them all. Just gorgeous, a true diva and a pure blessing. Kaveh come home please TT
It's a very simple demo (knowing that it's from a 4* and they have their limitations with them it's understable), but I think there are a few details that are really well executed here. Sorry for the unnecessary analysis but I need to get this out of my chest. I might be reading into it a bit too much though. The demo focuses solely on Kaveh and how resilient he is, the music is not what I expected after listening to his theme on the 3.6 trailer but I think it fits him like a glove, and it's growing on me a lot because of it. It shows Kaveh's curiosity, ingenuity and especially his melancholy. His theme on the 3.6 trailer was a lot more upbeat, like the first impression he gave to us, while this is the personal version, what he really is once we get to know him well. After playing the first part of the 3.6 event and especially reading his character stories, it makes so much more sense they present him like this. Before we all thought he was going to be the loud, emotional and explosive foil of Alhaitham, who is a lot more calm and collected, but when he's not interacting with him he's... not like that. He's very polite, like he's trying to fit into the social situation and he is adapting his behavior to it. He always has his guard up. He's keeping so much to himself and doesn't want to voice his thoughts to avoid being overwhelmed by his emotions. But at the same time he will go out of the way to help anyone that could need his help, and he'll be more than willing to make sacrifices for those that are on a worse situation than him. After this I have no doubts Hoyo wanted to picture him as a highly sensitive person, and I think they've done his characterization flawlessly. Honestly, at first I was a bit scared his demo wouldn't do him justice because when we met Kaveh we only knew him as "Alhaitham's roommate" and everything related to Kaveh was also related to Alhaitham, like he was an extension of him. But after watching the demo I can rest easy and we can say without any doubt that he's his own character with his own nuances. Nevertheless, there is a moment on the demo, at 0:07, where we can see both Kaveh and Alhaitham at the Academiya, that says *so much* about both and about how important they are for each other, and how understanding both of their characters adds so much depth to both of them. It took me a few times to notice it, but the frame is divided in two, Alhaitham's half being more calm, dark and cold, and Kaveh's half being more colorful, busy (there are people there) and brighter. Alhaitham walks while Kaveh runs. It's not even two seconds, but it says so much about their personalities and how they live their lives. Alhaitham walks at a steady pace knowing that he has everything under control and has already achieved what he wanted. Kaveh runs forward like he's in a hurry, because he aspires and will always aspire for more, and eventually surpassing Alhaitham but probably stumbling in the way. It's a very simple visual but it tells so well how they're perfect foils for each other, like the two faces of the same coin, like they mirror each other. Knowing the limitations of 4* demos, I love that they made it this way. They've put so much effort on everything related to Kaveh it's hard to understand he's just a 4* character. Even his gameplay is a reflection of his personality (he heals himself when he's hurt by the blooms he creates). Sorry again about the unnecessary wall of text, but I adore this character, and I think that, while simple, his demo suits him really well. Thank you for creating such a wonderful character, Hoyoverse.
Loved your analysis and Divided Alhaitham frame analysis because I have a different view of it. To me Alhaitham's is more saturated whereas Kaveh's more muted in colors and too bright. In my opinion it shows Kaveh has an inner sadness/depression but he tries to hide it with flashy lights and smiles to the point you can tell he's hiding a lot of pain behind his smile. To me, Alhaitham's side is more saturated because Kaveh subconsciously sees him in a positive light. Maybe he sees him as a familiar home or some sort of stability to fall back on when he's overwhelmed with life. I also think Kaveh is running because he feels pressured by the constant deadlines and debt that he has to chase and feels like he can't catch a break. I think both our perspectives are unique and correct. I love discussing about Kaveh and i'm glad to see what he's like without Alhaitham. I get the marketing behind it and clearly it's worked well but the Parade of Providence event really explored Kaveh in ways that I didn't know and make me love even more.
Absolutely. My view of Kaveh is like a hurry person trying to catch whatever he wants to achieve, even if he fails in the process, not like Alhaitham, who seems to have everything undercontrol. In that way, particularly, Kaveh seems like the other half of the "Alhaitham's - Kaveh"s" coin, as you mentioned. Another point i really like about Kaveh is that, even if he looks really innocent and extrovert, he is the same as Alhaitham or Tighnari, an Academia graduated student, so there's no need to undervalue him. Even if it's smile is a fake one trying to cover his lore and emotions, he's still intelligent enough to get along with the atmosphere surrounding, as i could realize in Alhaitham's demo trailer. Not to mention also his abilities and architech studies. The way he swins his claymore as a math compass and using radial movements to hit enemies is fabulous. About the demo music, i love it. From how it follows the same techno-vibe as Alhaitham or the whole Sumeru cast, to actually make a chill but upbeat song taking the references from Parade of Providence trailer. Anyways, loved both of your analysis about the demo this time, every perspective is correct and perfect for me, Im looking forward to repeat (actually this is my first time doing this, but as i read both of your perspectives, and we agree with liking Kaveh, i wanted to share this too. So thank you)

For the people who is confused, Kaveh is a 4 star dendro claymore unit. Not a catalyst or sword. Its just kavehs play style using his suitcase to carry the claymore 😊 (Sure you can call him catalyst or sword but he is a claymore)

I LOVE LOVE how his fighting style literally looks like a blueprint - the protractor-sword-swings (00:34), - compass motions (00:54), - the GRIDS oh the grids -the geometric shapes mashed togetherrrrrr Takes me back to geometry, trig, and physics (charting light's movement bouncing between sources and reflections). I swear there must be a rule-of-thirds joke somewhere (probably the whole damn animation) but I'm scared to point out anything further (non-architecture/engineer/artist here).

I've been in the position where I got my own creations stolen from me and lived my younger years being isolated and made fun of while trying to always reach out to others only to be backstabbed. Felt like I wasn't good enough and my idealist self to this day sometimes suffer from it, which is why aside from Nahida's ideals and philosophy (which she approves kaveh of btw!) By character personality and artistic ideals her and kaveh are ones I see myself in.
Now I've grown better in both empathizing greatly yet also being wiser in dealing with ppl and issues - balancing both emotion and logic to put things into action while not letting too much empathy overwhelm me is much easier with a new environment and supportive ppl tho! I hope kaveh gets a great support system outside of all haitham too hehe

I like how some of the designs to Dendro characters' skills looks so... techy.
For example, Nahida's CA looks like the computer mouse dragging and creating the square thing in the computer screen, while the ground in her EB looks pixelated than "nature". Alhaitham, to an extent, looks like his kit is high-tech for some reason with his chisel-light mirrors. And now there's Kaveh whose kit is designed around his Mehrak, a robot suitcase.
His hydro vision at 0:44 is very detailed. I really appreciate the work hoyoverse puts in all the details on their new characters

Sorry for the unnecessary analysis but I need to get this out of my chest. I might be reading into it a bit too much though.
The demo focuses solely on Kaveh and how resilient he is, the music is not what I expected after listening to his theme on the 3.6 trailer but I think it fits him like a glove, and it's growing on me a lot because of it. It shows Kaveh's curiosity, ingenuity and especially his melancholy. His theme on the 3.6 trailer was a lot more upbeat, like the first impression he gave to us, while this is the personal version, what he really is once we get to know him well.
After playing the first part of the 3.6 event and especially reading his character stories, it makes so much more sense they present him like this. Before we all thought he was going to be the loud, emotional and explosive foil of Alhaitham, who is a lot more calm and collected, but when he's not interacting with him he's... not like that. He's very polite, like he's trying to fit into the social situation and he is adapting his behavior to it. He always has his guard up. He's keeping so much to himself and doesn't want to voice his thoughts to avoid being overwhelmed by his emotions. But at the same time he will go out of the way to help anyone that could need his help, and he'll be more than willing to make sacrifices for those that are on a worse situation than him. After this I have no doubts Hoyo wanted to picture him as a highly sensitive person, and I think they've done his characterization flawlessly.
Honestly, at first I was a bit scared his demo wouldn't do him justice because when we met Kaveh we only knew him as "Alhaitham's roommate" and everything related to Kaveh was also related to Alhaitham, like he was an extension of him. But after watching the demo I can rest easy and we can say without any doubt that he's his own character with his own nuances. Nevertheless, there is a moment on the demo, at 0:07, where we can see both Kaveh and Alhaitham at the Academiya, that says *so much* about both and about how important they are for each other, and how understanding both of their characters adds so much depth to both of them.
It took me a few times to notice it, but the frame is divided in two, Alhaitham's half being more calm, dark and cold, and Kaveh's half being more colorful, busy (there are people there) and brighter. Alhaitham walks while Kaveh runs. It's not even two seconds, but it says so much about their personalities and how they live their lives. Alhaitham walks at a steady pace knowing that he has everything under control and has already achieved what he wanted. Kaveh runs forward like he's in a hurry, because he aspires and will always aspire for more, and eventually surpassing Alhaitham but probably stumbling in the way. It's a very simple visual but it tells so well how they're perfect foils for each other, like the two faces of the same coin, like they mirror each other. Knowing the limitations of 4* demos, I love that they made it this way. They've put so much effort on everything related to Kaveh it's hard to understand he's just a 4* character. Even his gameplay is a reflection of his personality (he heals himself when he's hurt by the blooms he creates).
Sorry again about the unnecessary wall of text, but I adore this character, and I think that, while simple, his demo suits him really well. Thank you for creating such a wonderful character, Hoyoverse.
Loved your analysis and Divided Alhaitham frame analysis because I have a different view of it. To me Alhaitham's is more saturated whereas Kaveh's more muted in colors and too bright. In my opinion it shows Kaveh has an inner sadness/depression but he tries to hide it with flashy lights and smiles to the point you can tell he's hiding a lot of pain behind his smile. To me, Alhaitham's side is more saturated because Kaveh subconsciously sees him in a positive light. Maybe he sees him as a familiar home or some sort of stability to fall back on when he's overwhelmed with life. I also think Kaveh is running because he feels pressured by the constant deadlines and debt that he has to chase and feels like he can't catch a break.
I think both our perspectives are unique and correct. I love discussing about Kaveh and i'm glad to see what he's like without Alhaitham. I get the marketing behind it and clearly it's worked well but the Parade of Providence event really explored Kaveh in ways that I didn't know and make me love even more.
Absolutely. My view of Kaveh is like a hurry person trying to catch whatever he wants to achieve, even if he fails in the process, not like Alhaitham, who seems to have everything undercontrol. In that way, particularly, Kaveh seems like the other half of the "Alhaitham's - Kaveh"s" coin, as you mentioned.
Another point i really like about Kaveh is that, even if he looks really innocent and extrovert, he is the same as Alhaitham or Tighnari, an Academia graduated student, so there's no need to undervalue him. Even if it's smile is a fake one trying to cover his lore and emotions, he's still intelligent enough to get along with the atmosphere surrounding, as i could realize in Alhaitham's demo trailer. Not to mention also his abilities and architech studies. The way he swins his claymore as a math compass and using radial movements to hit enemies is fabulous.
About the demo music, i love it. From how it follows the same techno-vibe as Alhaitham or the whole Sumeru cast, to actually make a chill but upbeat song taking the references from Parade of Providence trailer.
Anyways, loved both of your analysis about the demo this time, every perspective is correct and perfect for me, Im looking forward to repeat (actually this is my first time doing this, but as i read both of your perspectives, and we agree with liking Kaveh, i wanted to share this too. So thank you)
