2:43 oppositely worked for me. When both 'On battery' and 'Plugged in' were 'Enabled, USB ports were not working. I made both of them 'Disabled' and worked. I tried all your suggestions, but none of them worked. Another person's video "Ask A Computer Geek", suggested making them 'Disabled' and work. Thanks for your effort and time, in any way.
the problem for me was having an xbox controller plugged in and a hard drive at the same time so i had to move the xbox to a port not next to the external hard drive
Thank you for your video. As of last week all of my usb pports have stopped recognizing external usb drives. they no longer show up in file explorer or disk managment. When plugged in device manager may show a yellow triangle, but updating drivers, or installing and unistalling has not worked. Interestingly the drives will recognize a usb mouse. I have tried what you suggested with no luck. My regedit does not have the files you said to delete, but it does have an additional entry: Last delete date REG_BINARY 09 ee a9 bf a2 d901. Should I delete that ? Thanks for trying.
That wasn't the problem at all. I was using a low-powered optical mouse on the USB 3.0 port. I switched to the 2.0 port and it worked fine. (3.0 port uses much higher voltage than a 2.0 port. The mouse couldn't handle it.)
buddy this wont fix this my keyboard and mouse do not work at all i cant even log in to the computer because i have no mouse or keyboard the usb ports got turned off someone how in bios the title does not make sense to me cause i cant even use them they are lighting up but cant use my mouse or keyboard irrelevant
This is NOT the solution AT ALL. Windows 10's usb driver itself is problem. You can't solve this problem if you don't use Windows 7 or Windows 11. Don't make peoples time wasted.

Windows password prevents me for ANY repairs going into Windows environment. With no USB ports working how can I try any of these repairs????
How do I get into the pc if I can't use my mouse or keyboard due to usd not working??
Exactly idk what to do
I went into device manager and saw that the USB Root Hub was disabled. I right clicked on it and selected enable and the ports came back.

How am I supposed to do any of this when my usb ports aren’t working💀
Noted!

If you set your background in dark mode, I'd be appreciated.
My usb ports only work for one second while starting please give the solution 😢❤
