These guys look great. I wish the US used pace sticks. I love those White Boer War era helmets, too. Great job! One odd thing I’ve noticed about the UK military is that they don’t wait for the officer who is being saluted to first return the salute before dropping theirs.

On the contrary, last guy. We should not ignore it BECAUSE some of them have died for their country. THEY are the ones that need to show some respect to those soldiers, by getting there act together and doing proper drill.

Great Britain has never ever won a war without the great help of the TA, from the Boar war until recent date they have always been essential. In November 1914 when the Regular army were on their 'chinstraps' in Ypres it was fellows like these on here that arrived in time and were welcomed with open arms . A sister Regiment of 3RW were the first TA units into France. That was 2nd Monmouthshire, they arrived in France during the Nov of 1914. During WW2 two members of local TA units to 3RW each won VCs, Well done! and good lads all of them! (EX RSM Reg Army)

Forgive me, I'm biased, having joined 4 RRW in Neath in 1976 before a short career in the regular Army. I thought the TA soldiers of the 3rd Bn Royal Welsh were rather more polished in their drill than their regular counterparts from the !st Bn at the same place a few years earlier.

Haha that's BS. I'm a R Welsh cadet and the 3 BAT Drill is APAULLING. It's absolutely horrendous. Their regular counterparts are obviously significantly better, but these guys oh my God. I've seen them and done parades with them, and plan on joining them. They need more drill training! It would benefit them so much.
