I believe I was the last person to man Arctic Point . I was there for 2 or 3 seasons. Believe ‘94 was my last season. I also did part of a season at Miners Peak and worked at Krassel Ranger Station. Loved Arctic Point, I’m so happy to see it restored to its former glory. Kudos to the crew. Thank you.

As a FS arch that worked with Larry back in the early 2000s it is fantastic to see that management has finally recognized the importance of the history of the wilderness and that the Act doesn't preclude the human presence that has always been a part of the wilderness. I hope it will go into the rental program as use will assist in keeping it maintained.

That is nice. It is nice to know more and more women are getting involved and understand what it is that we are learning and really need to learn to appreciate our great Earth. ❤

Forest Service employees along with volunteer groups need more projects like these. It seems like everything older is being let go to waste or nothing new is wanted to be started. Without this type of work to gain experience and having knowledge pasted down it'll be lost forever. There is just some things that can't be learned from a manual. Let's not wait till its too late. Keep the old ways alive.

When did the cabin lose its stove?

In 1995. Most of the gear was removed to McCall, and the Lookout was “officially closed “.
