Thanks for the very honest and erudite video! I have Gold Knight (and 15 other Kilians including Appe Brandy)and was interested in how it stacked up to L'Heure Vert. Congratulations on being the first RUclipsr to make the connection to Gold Knight (just a few have done so with Taste of Heaven). I love Gold Knight and agree it is quite thick. It almost reminds me of PDM Carlisle in its thick, sweet patchouli dry down. I also think Straight to Heaven Oud and Musk, Royal Leather, and Dark Lord are absolute monster masterpieces with great thickness and projection and longevity, but others from this brand are a bit more ethereal - but still great. Interesting also is that I always found that OG Apple Brandy dries down to a woody liquorice smell. But I didn't like the apple cider opening, which makes you seem like a drunk here in the UK. But thanks - after watching about 10 RUclips videos already on these fragrances and still not knowing where they fit relative to the whole line, now I know.
I like l'heure verte because of the absinthe note - which is a favorite of mine - but not for two C-notes. If I can't get 8 hours from a fragrance, forget it.
I just received my Apple Brandy OTR and my cap is loose as well, for the scent it is so beautiful and well blended. It’s really good but very masculine, not for me but for my husband for sure. It’s a handsome fragrance!
I agree with you Sebastian. I do enjoy the smell of By Kilian fragrances. However, I wish they were stronger and lasted a little longer. My personal favorite from this house is Moonlight in Heaven.

I have; and enjoy; the first two (Angel's share and Roses on Ice) from this collection and will get these two as well, I'm sure. Unlike many of the folks that tend towards the negative comments on these, I'm not looking for the Ultimate Signature Fragrance here. I have hundreds of fragrances, Some are monster beastmode bombs, while others are just simply nice compositions to enjoy for a time. Knowing what to expect from Kilian, these will surely fulfill the latter and I'm okay with that.
My favorite from the house is Dark Lord. I love dark leather fragrances and this one has enormous silage and longevity. Even more than gucci guilty absolute.
So interesting to see how less "nischy" Bykilian has become after being bought by Estée-Lauder. Plastic bottles, low quality sprayers, more synthetic smells and reformulations and less performance. Somewhat tragic.
I agree. Almost every kilian fragrance is hidden behind a veil. I just wish they would stop putting out wimpy weak performers and give us our money's worth. All my favorite kilians are duds on me and many others. Sacred wood, STH, intoxicated, black phantom(claimed to be beast mode....but it's def not)
I find Back to Black to be weak in performance. I don't think it's beast mode like people say at all. But Black Phantom, just one spray of that and there's a bubble of chocolate around me, that stuff is strong.
Another example is Straight to Heaven. A wonderful scent but way to weak. So happy when they released STH Extreme.... but why the h*ll did they discontinued that one? To continue with wimpty performance?
I like L'Heure Verte...Scent is nice and it lasts pretty long. Apple Brandy On the Rocks is just ok to me...Drydown is beautiful but I dislike the opening. It's also too soft and weak for the price. Both are an easy pass.
I think all By Killian fragrances are good. All the ones I've smelled anyway. I remember when I discovered Back To Black. I thought it was one of the best things I've ever smelled.

And I'm kinda fearing Apple Brandy on Ice might go the same way... 🤷🏻 We'll see when I can actually get to test them! Loool L'heure Vert seems interesting too. Definitely love Gold Knight, which I own, so I'm hopeful. Also love Back to Black. The honey note that Kilian uses does work well on my skin, unlike other brands (I'm looking at you, Bee... 😑). Don't think Kilian fragrances are all weak, but certainly some of them disappear quite fast. Others really have staying power, but it's a mixed bag... 🤔 Thank you for another great video! 👍
As a big fan of Angel's Share, i'm looking forward to smelling Apple Brandy on the Rocks. My other favourites from By Kilian are Black Phantom and Intoxicated. Bring on the autumn/winter weather so I can wear them. Back to Black was the only one I disliked so much, despite numerous wears, i sold it on.
Haven’t had the opportunity to test all By Kilian fragrances but thus far, my favorites are Straight to Heaven Extreme (which I own) & Black Phantom which is tops on my purchase list for a magnificent gourmand!😊 Angels’ Share is very nice but from my perspective, not a “must buy.” Would love to test Apple Brandy on the Rocks!👍

I love what I’ve smelled from Killian. Definitely quite pricey but most scented water is. I want to collect this particular line but I’ll see when I get my nose on these two. I currently only have Angel share. I like Roses on Ice
I have roses on ice. I blind buy because of Kevin Samuels recommendation. The fragrance smells nice but the longevity sucks. Reminds me of Aqua Di Gio that it smells nice but the performance sucks. Sadly I own both fragrances mentioned. I guess it’s to be expected for paying $195. Since Kilian fragrance line on average goes over $250. I noticed it’s the $195 fragrances from Kilian that performance is lacking. You live you learn cost my wallet about $400 for my two previous mistakes. I’ll stick to Kilian rockstars like intoxicated or back to black

The later By Killians suck hard and they don't make statement groundbreaking scents anymore and they use less naturals and more chemical combo's. And the bottle should be glass for sure and this cheap plastic is not fancy at all
The bottom half is glass, but I do agree the whole presentation would be 10/10 if the cap was glass as well but I understand they need to save on costs
Oh boy, I’ve been waiting to get my nose on these two. By Kilian is one of my favorite houses. My two cents on longevity with this house, I own Intoxicated, Black Phantom, Straight to Heaven, Angels’ Share and Rolling in Love. And the first 4 last on my skin for at least 8 hours. I’ve watched several videos on these two fragrances, and of course, all different. Anyway, I’ll need to test them first to make a decision if it’s worth the purchase.
I’m now bummed out have both of them coming in a day or two and feel like I’m going to be disappointed, same thing happened with Autumn Vibes. Better get the fragrances first and then watch your reviews 😂

I just got l'heure verte, it's a very nice absinthe on my skin, but they other reviews I've read say it might not be for everyone. smells better than CDG black which is another licorice fragrance
I hear what you say about it not being thick. I didn't purchase because I just didn't feel it was strong enough. Maybe I'll change my mind. Maybe I need to get another whiff.
I love what I’ve smelled so far from By Killian; but as you said, they are way too weak and skin-hovering. It kills me ( 😉) too because the scents and names and concepts are just so alluring!
That's unfortunate, for that price there is no excuse for a loose collar. I think I'd rather have my Apple brandy neat, instead of watered down from ice 😉😂

I love this brand, but I’ve had a similar experience to yours in terms of performance, especially longevity! I love rolling in love, for instance, but the thing simply disappears after an hour and a half! I’ve had a little bit better luck with good girls gone bad and love don’t be shy, but still. But these fragrances are so tempting because of how delectable they are! By the way I also really appreciate having you tell us who the perfumers are.

I have yet to try a Kilian fragrance that blew me away. They all seemed somewhat transparent to me. I haven't tried Angel Share yet though, so I might give that one a try.
L`heure verte to me is a 90 % copy of Lolita Lempicka Masculine in the limited black bottle. such a shame L.L is taken over by big company, killing all creativity. green lover etc. is poor. another one bites in the dust. good to have a overpriced revival of the scent with by Kilian;-) could anyone copy AIR by Kenzo ;-)
I don't know what you're smelling. I know, I know - different tastes. Everybody isn't going to like everything the same, but Apple Brandy on the Rocks smells straight nasty to me. In the trash it went. I wanted to like it. I sprayed all over my home, just spraying and spraying... trying to find a reason to like the scent. Nope. You said it was herbacious. Yeah, I got that, but no, nope and no way. It's on its way to a landfill. God that stuff was awful.
I tried Apple Brandy on the Rocks, and like a bad cocktail, the alcohol completely overpowered all the other notes. I also experienced this with Angels’ Share. However, I did not experience this with Straight to Heaven or L’Heure Verte, which are both gorgeous fragrances.

Apple Brandy on the Rocks is a lighter version of Cedrat Bose' by Mancera thanks to the freshness and pineapple.
