Strahinja Boljevic, thank you for reposting this video. It's an important document of Barry's playing and leadership late in his life. Of course, Drummond and Williams are sensitive and swinging.
This is what humanity is all about. Being together for a wonderful event sharing the joy of the music. These stay at home orders, lockdowns, and mandates are torture to the human soul, and have proven ineffective at affecting the virus. I long for days where shows like this can happen every weekend.
Is it possible someone piano specialist give me his opinion : I find Barry Harris is do smooth and velvet sort of touch ... ? I was looking a pianist like him to listen while am driving ( busy traffic jam ) or just when I work ... before sleep ?
@@totallyfake2852 It's interesting that you suggest Bill Evans because Barry would find that insulting. He did not like Bill Evans at all to put it in nice words. There are several videos of Barry expressing his opinion of Bill.🙂....
I would recommend Thelonious Monk's "Solo Monk" album. Also Bud Powell's "Relaxin' at Home 1961-1964". I also concur with the other comment here, just listen to Barry himself, I have a huge playlist that just keeps getting bigger.
Just saw the Barry Harris Trio at the Village Vanguard last Thursday - so glad I went. Marvelous.
Jealous! :) I was at the Rome Workshop this September - he held a concert there on the last night after the masterclass.
It's cool to see these old kats do what they love. Monk would be proud. Thanks for sharing!
You're welcome! Glad you are enjoying it!
Dude thanks for uploading this
this is so much fun!

Thank you for posting, Strahinja! You've made a lot bebop fans very happy!
You are welcome! I'll have some more content after the holidays! All the best to you,

Anything you can post of Barry is gold. Bebop is the most exciting form of jazz, in my opinion!
Barry Harris musical genius 💯🔥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥🔥🔥🔥💯
Un referente del Hard Bop.

I long for days where people won't leave their drab political chatter in the comments of good jazz videos
Rest easy Legend and hey thanks for teaching a cat ✊🏼
