I just discovered this series. Thank you very much,i have listened to some series in the church fathers, but this seems to be very articulated, analytical and precise.
Just donated. Keep up the great content with no commercials. I wish I could choose way of the fathers to receive it, but I trust CC will use it wisely.
@djgrant3863 This is the Introit (opening chant) of the Mass for All Saints, sung by Jeff Ostrowski, who is the cantor/music director at St. Vitus in San Fernando, CA. You can find more of his voice at Corpus Christi Watershed. Incidentally, here in Southern California there is a blossoming of sacred music and Catholic talent: we have Musica Transalpina which sings at Ss Peter and Paul in Wilmington. The Norbertines of St. Michael's Abbey in Silverado preserve the ancient chant tradition (in English) Last year, the boy soprano Anselm was filmed singing Frank La Rocca's Aue Maria at the Abbey. ruclips.net/video/XaxOOmCpv08/видео.htmlsi=VNuDIOrELaaMtyOu
Thank you for choosing your title for your series from saint Anthony of Egypt dying words/1/25 however your equating today Talmudic so called jews who primarily follow a man made book with the Patriarchs Abraham/Isaac/Jacob/Israel who followed Divine Revelation is completely unacceptable and shows not only contempt for closing words on New Testament but also same warning in Old Testament
This first episode is wonderful. The content is well organized, Mike has great diction and the subject matter is fascinating. I'm going to share it with my sons this evening before dinner!

Agreed!
Was it st Antony abbot?
Anyone know where to find more of the chant that begins and closes out each episode?

I don't think Mike was equating the two.

I wish we could, but we don't have the resources! Sorry! If someone would volunteer we would gladly have a Spanish version.
