I usually do a pp treatment in the fall but did one in late summer I been cleaning up the best I can. You are so luvky you dont have to contend with as many leaves. Definitely a strong wind Now that the pp is all gone.. the koi look awesome All the best mike
Hi Chris yea you have loads of leaves compared with me and I am lucky I can uses the net , but your pond is stunning . PP is definitely the way forward for organic load 👍🏼👍🏼
Hi phil , no I won’t be heating I personally think a winter does them good they are normally quite vibrant by spring I have got the heater set at 10 from today but the temp is still arround 14 What are you on? Sounds like you’re heating through winter ?
@@jiffsterkoi oh right ok, I’ll be heating through winter just to keep the temp’s stable more than anything. I’m currently at 18 and will lower to 10 eventually.
Looking good mate I did a pp treatment at start of season and half way through and I've not had any issues with parasites I think I will continue to do so every season now 👍😉
Cracking update Mike, I’ve used PP today and used an ORP meter, didn’t have full faith in it tho so not sure if I put too much in. Fingers crossed the koi are ok 👍🏼 👌🏼
Hi Pete if you buy a good meter and keep it calibrated you will be fine It certainly works for me I had no issues all season You will know if there too much in the fish will roll over and jump then you have to act very quickly to neutralise 👍🏼👍🏼

@@PhilGsKoiPond 10 is a ideal temp I wouldn’t go any higher and it would cost a bomb to keep it at 18 all winter 👍🏼👍🏼
