The original singer was like a god in his prime which was like over 20 yrs ago. He has had a very tough schdule making his vocal cord overworked, which made him get vocal cord-related operations 3 times or more. So he no longer can't produce a high note as he could when he was young. If he could have managed his vocal condition properly, not overworking it then he would be much more impressive than now.
Have watched this years back. She has the stronger voice and longer vibrato and was even singing the 2nd voice in a different language at that but she didnt try to outshine the original singer. A true professional. Bravo...
