Try putting this into the Downloader browser "browser.aftvnews.com" then try to open it like you would a normal website. This is a type of Downloader plugin that's needed in rare cases. It may take you to an installation page for a moment but this is normal. After the installation is complete the Downloader app should work moving forward.
There must be something with the 2nd gen sticks. I tried everything. Still no luck.

This doesn’t work at all on the newer firesticks. Maybe the old ones, but not the newer models.
I'm having the same problem mine keeps getting a connection lost error. I've tried everything 10 times and 4 different internet connections
I have a 'newer' stick, it downloaded just as you stated, however, it didn't fix the 'no connection' error...

I just came across your channel I’ve tried all three methods and it’s still saying the same thing.
Two other methods
1. Try putting this into the Downloader browser "browser.aftvnews.com" then try to open it like you would a normal website. This is a type of Downloader plugin that's needed in rare cases. It may take you to a installation page for a moment but this is normal. After the installation is complete the Downloader app should work moving forward.
2. In case you're only trying with one URL/website try another one you know works just in case the website you're trying is down.

Hi! I’ve been following your channel for awhile now and I usually use your website to install apps on my fire stick however i tried to use downloader today to access the downloadingpirate website and even tried to use the code you made and it keeps saying webpage not available. Is there a way to remedy this?

Do you have a fix for 2nd gen Fire sticks? The downloader dialog box doesn't pop up to allow it to access files? 😭
On older Firesticks the option doesn't come up. It's not a requirement like it is on the newer ones. But if you're saying it did show before but not now... go to the Firesticks Settings > Applications > Manage Installed Applications > find and select Downloader > then select clear data twice. This will refresh the app as if you just installed it.

How do I get it to allow media files? It won't come up so I can't download anything.
One way is to uninstall and reinstall Downloader so it'll ask for permission again.

Me too. Got the new 4k MAX firestick. Redownloaded downloader and Keep getting error message "to try https" using either doesn't work. Can't clear data either it clears out cache instead.

Sadly, method No1 never worked for me, and I'd quite happily try method 2 of uninstalling, but you forgot to show how to re-install! (So never tried it) So, I still get the 'error connection' message...
