I’m an 85 year old male and I have been a huge fan of Jackie from the very first time that I heard her sing. I have purchased several of her albums.
I had a front-row stage right seat for this concert. Unforgettably beautiful.
Hi Shakes-P thank you for this review. Jackie is magnificent as usual. This whole concert is just beautiful. I have watched this video many times and it always leaves me breathless. But just for fun, if you watch the video carefully at one point the camera shows the choir behind her. Then it shows the orchestra. When they come back to Jackie you will notice if you are observant, that the choir disappears, only to reappear just seconds later. Just saying. LOL Please keep the Jackie Evancho reviews coming. Thanks

Awesome!! One of my favorite Jackie Evancho performances. Thank you! Her voice is nothing short of breathtaking, right? Mesmerizing. I always love watching Jackie sing, even apart from hearing her. It usually looks as though she's even mesmerizing HERSELF with her own singing lol. I know that I would if I had her voice. I woke up at a stupidly early hour and it was such a treat to see that you did a reaction to this video 👏🧡.
Jackie Evancho has grown up into a beautiful and even more multi talented artist than you can imagine. She is now a singer/songwriter who has been releasing orginal alternative pop music. It's very different from the classical genre she is known for, but her skills know no bounds. A few people aren't happy with her switch, but I think that many of her fans have enjoyed the journey she's taken us on over the years. Each album from the past to the present, has been something new and different from the previous. Classical, broadway, the folk songs of Joni Mitchell, and now to alt pop. She has recently released two new meaningful songs, "Behind my eyes" and "consequences" and she will be releasing 3 more originals in the new year. She has also released an original Christmas song called "At least I have Santa". So yes people, check out Jackie's channel, there's a lot there for everyone, and also don't skip watching her "shorts" videos to fall in love with her beautiful personality too 😊. Yes, I am a HUGE Jackie Evancho fan and for a very good reason 😁

Jackie has been putting out new origonal music lately.
Many composers have written their version of Ave Maria. This is Vladimir Vavilov's version. Schubert's Ave Maria is always thought to be hard to sing, but this version has to be much much harder, composed mostly of tonalities rather than words. This performance, the backdrop created at Longwood Gardens, the musicians, all present and accounted for SOLELY because Jackie is there. All this for a young kid! Pretty amazing doesn'tt begin to describe this entire CD.
She sang the schubert version for the Houston concert and nailed it at what...just 10 yrs old then?! 🤯. Or was she 11 already? I can't remember lol. It seems as though she has only done one other recording of the schubert version since then, at around 16. At least from what I could find. I do think this version is the best one of the ave maria's and I have never heard anyone ever sing it as beautifully as Jackie
@@monkeysquashface Yes, the Houston concert was age 10, staged at a church known for drawing major league acts for that annual fund drive concert. That particular performance was Jackie's first "test flight" as a true professional performer. While Jackie could not be technically classified a 'big act' at the time, she was possibly the biggest act ever to grace that church. I am still astounded each time I re-watch it because of the incredible crowd reaction. After a few numbers, even the chorus joined in the prolonged standing ovations that occurred after EACH song. Stupendous.
@@jordannash1998 I absolutely love the audience reactions from that concert, as well as Jackie's own reactions to the applause. Aside from her jaw dropping voice, Seriously, could any little girl be as naturally adorable and charming as Jackie was?
Its about this age the wheels came off and Jackie began a long struggle with Anorexia and other body image and emotional problems. If it can happen to a Jackie Evancho it can happen to anyone!
I am wont to suggest several other tracks Jackie has sung that will blow your mind: "Vocalise;" A cover of Within Temptation's "Memories;" "Attessa;" "Once Upon a Time in the West;" and her duet with Fernando Verela - "A Thousand Years."
You may recall that Once Upon a Time in the West is the title of the movie. The song is "Your Love", the soundtrack titled "Jill's Theme", sung without lyrics by Edda Dell'Orso.
Jackie is only a tender 14yr old here and super talented.
Great selections on reactions for her during her youth. As of late, you may want to avoid her, "The Devil's in Mary Jane". It looks like it was recorded at a bar & perhaps after Jackie had one too many? Her vocals were very pitchy (quite unusual for her) & generally the whole song was awful. Not a do again & I can't believe it wasn't taken down?
That performance was part of a joint concert of songs by actor/singers from the off-Broadway musical, "Get Jack" performed at the Rockwood Music Hall in NYC. Jackie, at age 19, was invited to sing "The Devil's in Mary Jane" about the lead character, Mary Jane, the most famous of the women murdered by Jack the Ripper. It was a chance to cut loose as a teenager, rocking to a song by the creator, Kip Winger, written for the musical....a one time performance 5 years ago, and not part of her concert repertoire or recording history as a classical crossover artist. It was a hit among the crowd who attended..
Not a fan of this version of, "Ave Maria", to me it pales in comparison to the Schubert version. But I do love Jackie, so it's always a treat to hear her sing.
This is an very old performance Jackie was only about 14 years old here she is now 23 and she does NOT sound like that now. any success she had spoiled her , sad !!!

You are known to be a Jackie hater, searching for any video of her you can find to leave your derogatory remarks. I'm certain you have never been to a concert to know what she sounds like now. "Spoiled" by success is the most ignorant statement one could make about Jackie.
@@cl9786We should all probably just ignore finnigan's many comments over the years because it most likely thrills him to get any reaction, but oh well lol. I am on RUclips a lot throughout each day, I listen to many different artists and a lot of different music, read various comments made in their channels. Some people comment that they don't like a new song or they prefer an artists earlier work to new work etc. Then you get the ones like this guy lol. I don't mind that people say they like something or don't like it. Everyone has the right to have their own opinion, but it makes me angry when people insult the artist or their integrity, say actual rude things about someone else's work, their appearance, their personal struggles, put down their freedom to live life how they want to live it, or for things that they have no control over......for instance, a natural voice change that happens because they grew up. For sure Jackie's voice has changed over the years, but not in a bad way. She went through a few voice changes, as is what happens. She'll probably go through another one or two over her lifetime as she ages. She still has the same beautiful tone, perfect pitch control, the ability to bring out the emotions of any song, that beautiful crystal clear quality and her high notes can still make a person cry. She is gaining even more skill in her abilities all the time. I just think it's weird that this bothers some people so much that they feel the need to actually follow Jackie closely, just to insult her and put her down
@@monkeysquashface What and how she sings is up to her. Her voice is still the best there is in Classical Crossover. Like many young adults, she is experimenting with different genres and messages that are tied to HER life's experiences. I expect to see her continue to evolve every couple of years. Not everyone might like it. Wilbur seems to not like it. Leave him behind. He's just butt-hurt she's not singing what he wants. Too bad for Wilbur. He needs to grow up.
