Another nice video and commentary! I like how you mentioned that when “find the value” Is said, people think it’s to find and buy the literal cheapest thing not realizing the minimal upside potential! I feel like they ignore the details of most products and what could give it its’ future desirability! Keep it up! 👍🙂
ill add a little bit of definition. I think when you talking about why trick or treat is not valueable and for people to "find the value" what it means is find a good combination of low supply, large set size and high demand. Trick or treat only checks off one of those boxes , it has high demand. people love it. the downside is the supply is enourmous and the set size is so small. this causes a TON of redundancy on the singles due ot large suppy which forces and surpresses the prices down for a very long time. I think by " find the value" your talking about something that checks all those 3 boxes. Take that greninja set you were talking about. It has good demand because people chase that card, so people buy it and crack it to find it. Check box 1 it also is a standard set becuase twilight masquerade is a normal set size , not a tiny set like halloween, or a expansion set like some of the ETB only releases. check box 2 and the supply is id say on the lower side, because it was pre printed in advance when print runs were shortened in 2023, when it wasnt as insane of market as it is in 2024. the down side is there will most likely be a reprint, but that might only slightly douse the fire in the short term. check box 3 the unfortunate side for alot of this stuff is we are seeing interest rates slowly rise, and if unemployment becomes less of an issue, we might see interest rates continue to slowly climb and the market slow, which could make it stable (but probably not crash)
a long term position im taking on is pokemon go. The ditto cards, and the city mewtwo I think are really cool chase cards. Its the first ever pokemon go crossover, and based on its initial "normal" performance and not going crazy, any future runs of pokemon go will probably have an even small print size, which will be bullish. the downside is the set size is smaller due to it being an expansion, but the supply should dry up within a year or two, maybe even by february tax season, and the prices right now are still really cheap and it also has the first radiant trio - charizard blastoise and venosaur, which I thing long term people will see that value
This guy has a old McDonald’s box and a Halloween pack in the background with random items. Why should I listen to him at all about Pokémon TCG?
@@Omartinez0341 your logic is flawless
