    It looks good. I guess if you have the money, you can get all the materials you need. That is the type of work I have done my whole life: Building homes, roofing, siding, and pretty much anything related to home building. I am now retired and watching life go by-and it's fast, LOL1. Have a merry Christmas, my friend!🌲🌲🌲

      Mahalo (thank you) yes this time around I had some cash saved up and paid for #1 or better, 2 and 4 by material. I could have bought my 1/2" ply at the big box store for $27.00 a sheet but also purchased from a true lumber yard. ($40.00 a sheet) Hope the ply doesn't have a lot of air gaps. Best wishes to you this holiday season.

      @@pelerocks The cost of wood is crazy now of days ! I won't use any chip wood style plywood It is cheaper but it also will fall apart over time because moister or water over time just makes the glue come apart and you up with wined shredded wheat! But it looked like you had real Plywood so that is very smart!

    • @pelerocks
      @pelerocks  24 дня назад +1

      Our average humidity is 80% and above with our rainfall at about 157" a year. So real wood is important to use here.

      I know what you mean by that. I don't think I have seen any OSB here in Hawaii. We don't really even get true pressure treated wood here other than by special orders on this island.

      7:30 am Monday December 23, 2024. The weather here has been pretty good the last few days, but of course as soon as we pulled the tarp down the weather went bad. We had to cover the chest freezer and the washer and dryer because it was too rain last night. Hopefully we can get some roofing done today. Our weather is supposed to be nice again after a single rainy day.
      The USGS Volcano watch posted a red alert for the next 24 hours. I guess the Lava has started to raise in the caldera - lake (nothing to worry about). LoL Marry Christmas
