I said the same thing about the MK770, yet I'm clicking on the tracking information for the one I ordered post the CM MK770 that was put out. However, going to pass on this one, just didn't hit all the marks.
I got the Q2 (65%) barebone for over a year now, it's a great hefty keyboard. Everybody who tried it was impressed by the feel, how it sounds, and its weight. I'm very happy with my purchase.
I bought the white kit last year for my daily, been loving it with Zeal Roselio switches (not sponsored I bought all this shit because it's awesome and I type for hours every day)
Got my Q1 Max a few weeks ago with the Gateron Banana Yellow Switches and it was really great out of the box. I updated with the force break and tape mod and wow, it's super thocky. I'm really enjoying it so far. Yes, it is heavy but I appreciate they build quality. It's a tank!
Thank you for this review!! Was tough finding one that wasn’t sponsored. Ended up getting it with a different set of cherry profile keycaps and am enjoying it. Couldn’t find another brand with an aluminum keyboard that had Bluetooth, 2.4 ghz wireless, and supports VIA
I love my Keychron v3, but their keycaps were cheap AF. Replaced them with nicer ones I got from AliExpress for less than $2! That aside, I love my keeb, and this is a very tempting replacement for my home keev
I have the V6 because I prefer having a numpad and you need one for playing ETS2, ATS and Star Citizen. I do have to remap my key binds because I need to get to the layer 2 profile. Keychron is an awesome keyboard.
Decided to buy this after I couldn't get a Razer BlackWidow V4 75% in white. Same price, impossible to find in the EU and isn't wireless. Your review made my decision way easier. Thanks!
I have a Q1 Pro and an original Q2, both with the acoustic upgrade kits. I've replaced the caps and switches as I don't like the Keychron caps but that's just my preference. As I'm usually wired I'm good without the 2.4Ghz but it would be nice to have. Great review and it's nice to see they have continued to make upgrades after the Pro version. Have you seen the Lemokey P1 that's coming? To me it's basically a Q1 Max with cherry profile caps for $99. They are going to have to save costs somewhere though so I'm curious as to where they will do it.
I am looking at the board but agree. That being said, their $35 C3 is great for a budget board, and others have good $80-100 boards, so I am hopeful it’s pretty good.
it weighs less than 2kg so its in the ballpark of some laptops (maybe a little bit more). that should be no problem at all for putting on the lap. The weight/size is only really worth talking about when it comes to travelling
I am still on my K2 v2 modded and looking towards V1 Max as an upgrade in months to come - programmable, 2.4Ghz and better build are just about good reasons for USD100, unless I find an alternative maker at the same price with better build/features/acoustics. Think I'll be switching to XDA keycaps that I have currently.
Good to hear, because I pre-ordered the Q1-HE. Also, it isn't lazy prefering pre-build keyboards.. I do not get why people would care so much and built a keyboard from scratch, that just seems way too dumb and my guess is that 99% of all who does, are bad at games and so.. it just seems even more pointless. Imo.
FINALLY a good quality hotswap 75% ISO board with wireless... just ordered the white barebones version with some baby kangaroo switches to replace my kbd67
@@GearSeekers am going literally to buy this keyboard because of you. I will buy the red switches because my wife complained hahaha, but can i ask you a question since am brand new to this keyboards. if i buy the fully assembled red switches, and i also buy Gateron Aliaz Silent Tactile Switch (official page), would my keyboard be more silent? the support of keychrone is horrible in Germany... it sucks, every email is short, without anypoint. Thank you for your effort
Decent price for an aluminium board from a big brand. Seems very similar to my Skyloong GK75 but without the knobs and more importantly, without the truly terrible software. Sound isnt bad but compared to other aluminiums, its not good either. Just sounds like most other plastic boards with a linear switch. Sad its 330 and they already sell accoustic upgrade kits for it. Hardly MAX if you've got $30 add ons to make it sound good.
Are these south-facing LEDs? If so you're limited in keycap replacement, correct me if I'm wrong (some keycaps work but you get a "scratchy" sound on one row).
There just seemed to be a bit too much play in some of the keys and the stabilizers. Double gasket and lubed should have added some smoother sound to the keys bottoming out. Agreed on the price comment, doesn't lend to a justification in price with the sounds coming from the key test. Thank you for the review though! Still nice to get good insight before test driving.
@@eljefe7070yt they sell an acoustic upgrade kit for like $10, it makes a HUGE difference on the sound. I'm unsure why they don't just include that on the Max. I have those installed on both my Q series board and they sound great. The other thing is that the switches aren't my favorite and those tall thin PBT caps are are a major issue with the sound as well.
@@rjvitt I agree with your personal preference. The price tag is usually the first decision point for me, but I can move past that if the preinstalled switches, keys and other supporting features are already good. Personally, i'm not a keyboard modder, just a hobbyist. However, like a few other comments on here I REALLY like my Keychron K4 with brown switches. It's my main work place keyboard for daily use at my job.
Do not buy from this manufacturer. Our keyboard came with broken keys and they are being horrible to work with and won't replace them. Customer service is horrible. I like the keyboard feel- but hate that I am stuck with a brick sitting on my desk.
There should be removable + rechargeable batteries instead of those chinese dump battery. now these days fixed battery concept is a waste of money on tech.
I have a phone for that. I don't want a full size keyboard taking up room on the desk if I don't use it all. Plus of all you do is game.... Then no. You don't need a full size kb

I'm getting the new wooting when it comes out but maybe if I had more space I'd get more.
I’m glad I’m broke sometimes. LOL
I keep telling my girlfriend that, but keep buying them…. I do love my Q1 V2, though. The last two were for her, but she doesn’t even care, lol.

Which board from nuphy?

On a serious note. I would *love* to see an analysis of the sound frequency from these various keyboards and their switches.

The q1 max is great. No complaints after 30 days
Banger of a video fams. The keyboard looks legit
i need to stop falling in love with pricey keyboards 😭
I have bought a q5max for my office desk, that's great. good for typing, not too large and great battery life except using the rgb
Is the keyboard compatible with linux? (wireless) the switch button is only for mac/windows
1:11 Nick and his ASMR keyboards...
Hes good at it bahaha
Would you say that the lemokey p1 is comparable to the Q1 max?
If you’re on the fence about this PLEASE WAIT TILL APRIL. A better version is up for preorder and it’s the same thing but with magnetic switches
Is it too heavy to plop on my lap if I'm gaming on my couch / TV?

Looks interesting, but I am fine with my Q1 v2 in green, but I would like a V4 Max (60%) which does not exist at the moment.
Once you go Knob, you never go back! Hi Klaire! Hi Bindi! yo Nick!
😆 knob gang
I have my V1 Max and I just bought couple of weeks ago :D
Thanks for the review! I was curious about this one but after hearing the sound test, I just prefer the sound of my nuphy keyboard
whats the input latency like?
Any quiter switch recommendations? Still too loud for me? Will other switch affect the polling rate?
the Jupiter reds that come with the board are pretty damn quiet. The board has a lot of foam in it and it really helps make it quiet.
I have had 3 keychron keyboards and I love them. I use them at home and at work. They have no match

Not a fan of the spacebar click, seems a bit too tinny not the same thock the other keys had.
