    I wished I was told some of us can when I was younger, I didn't do contraceptives as I should have, and voila. I am a parent. Well done, doctors.

      @@shadrachemmanuel1720unlikely, as far as i know there are no known cases of a 46xy intersex person getting pregnant, only cases of them getting someone else pregnant

    The real question people ought to be asking is how is babby formed?

    Omg you all are so inspiring. I was Born Intersex, my mother was supposed to have fraternal twins boy and girl. Before the two embryos could form into two babies. The chromosomes fused together and made me. When I was born into this world I was born with a vagina an enlarged clitoris, fallopian tubes, a uterus, and testicles. I have menstrual cycles. I'm a man on the outside and a woman on the inside. #krispheonix

    You wouldn't BELIEVE amount of people I've had people ask me this. It's like the second most popular creepy intersex FAQ I get from people (right up there next to "are you REALLY an " 🤦🏽
    It's a very bizarre (and in my case, insensitive) thing to be asked, like I don't see endosex people asking other endosex people this out of the blue like that.
    Idk. I'm just extra salty abt bc for me when this comes up in conversation it's just another reminder of ye olde human rights violation. They sterilized me while they were At It surgically (and they made wrong fucking decision by trying to warp me into a binary girl too; I was a minor at the time so I couldn't comprehend what I was being talked into.) I mean, with the way my body works, I don't think carrying kids would've been a super great move, but it would've been nice to at least have had the opportunity to choose. So no, no getting pomegranate for me lol.

      @@hihellohans Oh yeah, I figure maybe another intersex person wld how it is, and I'm srry for it too. And to clarify, the 'you' was just a general 'you' and not specifically directed at you as an individual or really even other intersex folx :'^)

      @@Tea-fg5we. My wife is an intersex woman that has both male reproductive parts and she is from Thailand. A lot of her friends over there are also intersex. They don't like the H word and they don't like to be called a Kathuie, which is the F word in Thai. Strangely, they prefer the term "Lady Boy". It is an empowering word to them because there's a huge culture surrounding it. She was honest when we started dating and she told me what she had and I passed no judgment cause I care about the heart. Hopefully you can heal from the toxic people

    I was 38 yrs old I learned the truth about me and reproduction. Totally was possible before a surgery that I was not fully informed about & it was a scare tactic to normalize me and after that made I was 100% unable to make another human.

    I so wanted to be a parent but it wasn’t in the Stars for me .
    In my youth way before knowing I am intersexed , I did get my high school sweet heart pregnant but she aborted ( natural not induced ) after 4-5 weeks . She never told me for decades knowing it would have hurt me .

    Im one such person who had one ovotestis and one somewhat underdeveloped testis. We were able to have two children but it took a great deal of time and effort. Cancer happened after the last child was born and chemo and many surgeries took care of any chance of producing more children.

    I'm a midwife and I've been trying to advise a married couple who are my relatives on getting pregnant as a couple where neither has a penis or sperm. He was born intersex but assigned female at birth so I was wondering if that would affect things, I think I need to advise on more tests. All I can say is damn this is complicated, on whether he or she should carry the pregnancy.

    One thing you did not mention is that an intersexed man with could have the chance to get pregnant through in vetro as well. From what I have read there are 2 cases of this where they both carried the baby to term and had c sections to have the babies.

    Hey thanks for sharing this! So just so I understand: if one person is intersex, they can’t impregnate themself? If not, why not? Thanks!!

    • @tenebreh7363
      @tenebreh7363 2 года назад

      I may benoversimplifying this-I'd think it depends on the biological persuasion, if one's ovaries and testes are functional, and if the balance of hormones in one's body is favorable to optimal sperm and ovum production at once. After that's established, this conjectural "immaculate conception" experiment would still be reliant on cutting edge medical intervention to expose these reproductive cells to one another and place it within the subject's uterus for safe gestation.
      I could in theory clone myself this way (having ovotestes), but I'm sure there are (ethical) reasons this has never been attempted before. That said, even intersex men (amab) have carried pregnancies to term (with medical assistance, of course).
