Resident Evil is the original survival horror game by Capcom, inspired by earlier works such as Alone in the Dark and Sweet Home. The Raccoon Police Department's Special Tactics And Rescue Service (S.T.A.R.S.) are assigned to investigate a series of bizarre murders on the outskirts of Raccoon City.
This movie plays through the "Battle Game" mode, which was exclusive to the Sega Saturn release. The player must fight all of the game's various enemies and bosses in a boss rush type style. Fortranm ( tasvideos.org/... ) plays through this mode in record time.

Just for curious, is there any reason why you choose the Japanese version..?

I think most of the time when a different language is chosen it's because the dialogue is faster. This run skips a lot but it might save some frames overall.

@@83joonior From the submission notes: "The JPN version is chosen because the USA release has increased difficulty just like on PlayStation. Jill is chosen because she has access to Bazooka, a strong weapon. In other words, using Jill on the JPN version would allow fastest completion of this mode (whiling using Chris on the USA version would be the combo with the highest difficulty in a sense)."
