Ahh I loved this video so much! Wish you could do vlogs, please consider it!!! Something else that I think would be super useful is a pre-dental video talking about your journey from high school to college to now dental school. I'm a high schooler currently applying to college and I want to one day become a harvard dental student and want to know more about the journey that others have done to get there! Thanks so much!!! :)
Oh and PS, grocery shopping wise, I live in Cambridge and the cheapest place to grocery shop is definitely market basket- saves so much money!

Let's just say a 4.0 in college with top 90% of MCATS didn't make any med schools or interviews.
Honestly, what you did in High School doesn't matter. Medschools only care about things you did in college. Med students have an average of around 3.7 college GPA and 510 on MCAT. Also, you need clinical experiences such as hospital volunteering and shadowing. Research experience in either lab or clinical research. Teaching experience such as work as a tutor will help. Also medical related jobs such as medical scribing, EMT, medical assistant, etc will also help. General volunteering such as helping out your community is important. Get some good recommendation letters from college professors and physicians. Knowing a secondary language like Spanish is really good to get into schools with diverse neighborhoods like UCLA. And last but not least, you need an X Factor, which is something that lets you stand out from the crowd. Maybe an interesting/unique hobby or interest. or maybe an interesting back story. Good luck man. Getting into medical school is hard, but if you check off most of these items during college, you will have a very very good chance to get into med school. And even if you are missing some things, you could always take a year off to either boost your extracurriculars or attend a post-bac program/community college/masters program to improve your GPA.
Just keep applying yourself and you'll likely succeed. Admissions committees know that there are large differences in academic rigor among universities and therefore place a great deal of emphasis on the MCATs. I was told by an interviewer that I missed (only) one answer and was accepted by several top med. schools. The hardest part is getting in. Med. school itself isn't especially difficult but it is tedious. All in all, it's a GREAT experience!

Nowadays I feel quite empty and confused at the same time I'm taking medical technology as a pre-med and i'm not sure if i should push through tho i'm at my fourth year :( how do you know if the medical field is destined for you?

Every time when I watch a "day of XY doctor in the USA" or the blogs of American doctors I see them bringing and putting on the working clothes at home. Why do they bring the MRSA and other invections to their children and homes? Is there no law for protection of the population from such irresponsible individuals? The lab coats etc. we use in a hospital should never leave the hospital. There are infectious diseases we don't want to leave the hospital, don't they have a room for that at "the best hospital in the world"? They wear hand watches, wedding rings - I would have never passed my exam in medicine by doing that in Europe... And they wear private clothes at work...
Sorry but this school looks so depressing and outdated..Hope you will be still sane when you graduate..Cheers !
