Bruh I say this as a Piccolo player and enjoyer; ain't no way any team with him is the best team. Even if Hook ever won anything, it would be Baby and Vegeta carry.
And someone who plays piccolo at semi-advanced level, he can be extremely good on a team. Putting him second is recommended but as anchor he can absolutely demolish if you can be patient with him and use orb setups properly. I should know because I've had him on my main team for 3 years and when I switched to that team I almost never lose against anyone my skill. Even against players who are Zeno rank and players of Tournament level skill he is still really good. However I will admit that without meter and against certain characters he does struggle solo but his a assist is one of the most flexible and diverse assists in the entire game. And I mean a person like me who is a semi-professional can do a 75% combo in the corner with his a assist and still get some good Okie. Where he sucks is against people who don't respect frames and just do nothing but push buttons but even then if your patient with him you can do some damage. So in short I would rank him mid-tier and put him great against the average Z player, okay against the intermediates, and okay against the professionals. If anyone in that set was probably bad it would have been Android 16😅
Yeah he's good. Always had decent mix and damage, top tier assist esp after getting 2 orbs. But you replace him with a top tier and your team gets better. Period. That's all. You can't say he is irreplaceable on a top team. @SoloGamer42
@chrishaywood2458 well that would apply to any team then, but then again I think the best characters in Z are way overused and truthfully only are fun to watch in tournaments. But then again I'm a retired tournament player and now I only play online so I'm a bit tired of seeing them. I don't believe in tier lists for Dragon Ball fighter Z since a lot of characters actually feel like they are always going to be strong until you get to the professional level of Z. I mean when I used to go to tournaments I would always take Super Saiyan Goku and Broly Super. Before all the patches and Buffs those guys were considered really weak but I still used them in tournaments and demolished most of my opponents. And the funny thing is I actually think Broly Super is one of the weakest characters in the game even though he has a ton of damage and the longest combos out of anyone. Just because his buttons are meaty and he often gets out mashed by a lot of characters unless you have the perfect team 2 synergize with him. And as soon as I took him off my team's most of my teams got incredibly stronger so I understand what you're trying to say. But for me the worst characters in the game in my opinion are teen gohan, Android 16, Majin Buu, Kid Buu, and Yamcha. I know Majin Buu and Yamcha are actually quite strong but you never see them except for extremely high levels because they are very difficult to play and you really do have to understand the fundamentals of Z to even get a grasp on them. Those are the only characters that I feel like do indeed make teams a little bit weaker. But then again that's just my opinion and I've been playing Z for 5 years straight pretty much. At this point I just play for fun and only really try against players my own color. I have a love-hate relationship with Dragon Ball fighterz, just waiting for the right fighting game to replace it. But Z in my opinion is one of the best fighting games of all time regardless if the online is trash or not and the online community is awful.
