Thanks again for such a good easy to understand tutorial. The whiteboard drawing beforehand certainly helps (I did that a lot before I felt comfortable enough to work on my little sampler following the ripple technique in the last tutorial. By the way Stuart, you have the most *beautiful* blue eyes. They are so mesmerising.
I remember having to do this every morning in school. First grade I was. Loop loop loop and then mmmmm OOOOOOO, OH IT WAS FUN. YOU ARE SO MUCH FUN AND INFORMATIVE. Oops, I was shouting for sure.
Hello :) question for you (or any viewers) Would you recommend using a teflon (slippy) sheet under the quilt sandwich to help move it around? Find my quilts sort of stick as I'm moving them and end up overstitching in one place.
I have one on my flatbed extension table for when I do anything large. It works a treat. You need to remember to lower the feeddogs when doing freemotion quilting though because they are designed to catch your material and move it in a straight line passed the needle.
I’ve never used a Teflon sheet... I know lots of quilters who do and love them so definitely worth a try... the more you practise FMQ the more comfortable and coordinated you’ll feel!
Stuart you are a breath of fresh air - thanks for bringing your skills to us!
Thanks Stuart, will come back to this again and again.
I will try this Stuart Thank you for sharing this with us

Hi Stuart I haven’t attempted quilting yet and really keen to get started, your videos make it look easy, thanks for sharing your knowledge x
Again learnt a lot. Thank you
Thank you Stuart, this was very helpful as I am new to quilting and very nervous about FMQ. 💚
Nice. I like it. Thanks for the tips. I’ve subbed. Hello from So California 😊
Thank you!

Hi. I always use one, it really helps. Plus I also use quilting gloves - they are white with rubbery stuff on the fingertips to help grip the fabric.
I've seen those gloves, thought they were a bit gadgety! Will have a go with them :)
OK - have Teflon sheet, will try over weekend. Thanks for all replies, appreciate your collective knowledge xxx
