How to Change a Gasket on a Big Green Egg Without Removing The Lid

When it comes to maintenance, making sure the gasket on your Big Green Egg is intact is important. If you don't have a clean seal you can run the risk of inconsistent temperature swings or less efficient air flow.

Be sure the Egg is cool before you start this process. We recommend letting the adhesive gasket sit for 24 hours before using to let the adhesive set.
Tools needed:
Putty knife or similar scraper
New gasket
Razor blade
Cotton ball
Rubbing alcohol
