I would NOT move Mailloux until I see how good he can be at the NHL level - an old axiom of Sam Pollock......it is paramount to know what you are giving up in a trade
I would rather see him being mad at losing a game that was important than what I have seen from other nhler’s who did not care too much of the outcome of a playoff game. The attitude Slaf has is the attitude that you wish all the players on the team has when you are playing in a high stake game.

I am keen on Habs acquiring Necas however not for one of our young right D's. Other than Reinbacher & Mailloux there are no young right D's prospects in the pipeline. As far as Habs not being interested in a Centre, I agree. If Newhook is played at 3C we are solid with Beck & possibly Kapanen (still to be signed to an ELC) not far away plus Evans.

i wouldn’t be willing to trade mailloux, reinbacher or any other right d prospects at this moment. Even players like Justin Barron who has played a good amount of the season but hasn’t really proven much yet would not be on my trade block. The reason for this is firstly, we are missing some right d prospects and we need them for a promising future. Secondly, these prospects are still young and I would wait for players like mailloux and reinbacher to emerge into the nhl and prove if they are capable of playing hockey in the big leagues. In fact, they all have lots of potentials and I think it would be best to be patient.
Trading a soon to be top 4 right shot D for a 5’10 winger would be pretty funny. Would never happen.
No other team is giving them a Mailloux and a 1st for Necas. If they don’t view him as being that good how are they going to turn around and demand that ridiculous amount of value for him?
He played 3rd line minutes and still put up 51 points! He’d be a top line player in Montreal lol so I think he’d be an 80 point guy! Other teams will pay that or more! I can see Sens offering up Chychrun to get him! We can’t keep all our dmen so a sacrifice has to be made one way or another. Mailloux played one game in the nhl. Maybe he will be a stud who knows? We’ve got many young studs, gotta give one to get something g good in teturn

And sign Stamkos to best offer. Or if we can trade for Zegras or Crosby(do dreams come true?), they can take one if thee contracts as part of the deal to make a trade work.

@@komirules he plays on the 3rd line there lol! Putting up 53 points in 77 games on a 3rd line is pretty good imo! In Montreal he’d be a top 6 player not too 9 and put up even better numbers with more icetime. I think the year before this he put up 77! So yeah he’d be a fit on Montreal.

Also chemistry is important and Hughes has to be sure not to subtract from the chemistry on the team.
Guhle for Necas at the draft book it. I find it hillarious that you guys wont touch the fact that Guhle or Matheson along with Harris must be traded if Hutson is to make the team
I am offering the Jets 26pick, a third round pick and if need be upgrade that to a second round pick and Harris. We have tons of young assets already, so using picks make sense and we need to make space on défense. Let’s overpay a little a get this player out of Carolina. I would hate for HUGO to be to conservative when we could speed up the rebuild by adding another big young forward who can add offensé output.

my heart hopes Demidov somehow falls to 5th but if not I hope Habs take Sennecke or Iglina before Lidstrom. Both wingers have a lower floor and higher ceiling than Lidstrom. Even Catton's ceiling is projected higher at the NHL..... If Demidov is gone I wouldnt be upset if they took yet another of the 3 or 4 projected top line dmen in the draft as well... Just yet another good piece to be put in a trade for a young up in coming star with 2 or 3 yrs NHL exp.
Mailloux paired with Xhekaj is simply nasty, and they paired in Laval for a while. I would like to see Mailloux pair with Guhle, if only in certain situations, because Guhle took a beating last year. The opposition was running at him. They know Montreal is inexperienced on D and the opposition coaches exploit it to win.

Montreal French Media TVA and RDS will absolutely devour him if he gives answers like these and speaks his mins, expresses himself freely. Especially during a slump, where he’s more susceptible. Package Either Harris or Struble with our Winnipeg's 1st to move up to the teens, then trade that pick with the other or possibly even Beck to get 6th or 7th so we could grab Lindstrom and Senecke then our future top six is set and killer!
Carolina won’t play ball with Montreal on Necas considering their history and Carolina’s pettiness.

Necas is better than Caufield for a playoff run....but I would love to see Mason McTavish in a Habs jersey. Keep Logan, Kapaenan all the young dudes who haven't played much. Teams will want Harris or Struble as they have played quite a few games, a known quantity. Matheson is almost untouchable.
Harris is a much better skater than Trudeau, which makes up for his lack of size. Keep Matheson, a top ten offensive D already! Logan has to get a chance for the Habs!

Ive been preaching Necas for a couple months now! One of Hurricanes best players in the playoffs this year. Canes will want someone who’s NHL ready and impactful. Picks and prospects won’t do it! They are going to want a guy like Matheson especially if they lose Pesce. You can’t get good players without giving up something good in return. Don’t let Ottawa snatch him for Chychrun! Make it happen somehow Hughes!
