Sorry for the late reply. There are many advantages to this activity. I will list them below:
1. Develops hand eye coordination
2. Develops fine motor skills and dexterity
3. Develops concentration
4. Develops independence as the child learns to use a tweezer
5. Helps with visual discrimination
6. Encourages the child's need for order.
