Hi Vanessa, another lovely interview! What I was fascinated by was the fact that Precious decided to study in Ghana rather than study in the UK. It is something we rarely discuss or offer in the UK. Superb idea!
I know this vid is a few months old, but I went to University of Ghana 2003-2004 as an international student from the University of California system. Would highly recommend people study at this school. I was a business administration major and my classes in Ghana were tough! I also took some dance and drumming classes that were fun but also kicked my ass! Was a wonderful experience and according to my mother Ghana made me blossom into a wonderful woman. 😂
Oh wow!
Wow, we're glad you had such a positive experience with us.
I Love Africa and i really love and Wanna live in Ghana.
Thank you Vanessa for having me 🥰♥️
Ghana is a really beautiful country. I love you Ghana
Who else need a part 2 of this beautiful school. A proper tour of the school, ie, UGBS, pent, Jean Nelson, Akufo hall, their hospital, stadium etc.
Sure I will do this if I can get in touch with someone from the uni
@@VanessaKanbi If you want a student, you can get in touch with Nancy ruclips.net/channel/UCC_QORjmB_7jOsh4a2pIXCw
She can also help you get in touch with admin and lecturers
@@VanessaKanbi please we need second part where you will basically tour the whole university of legon for us. And also check out Kwame Nkrumah university of science and technology in Kumasi please. Thanks Vanessa for the good work. Keep it up
@@VanessaKanbi the university have a new stadium.. Ultra modern hospital.. Botanical garden... I mean many content to create.. Check international students hostel.. Ish.. More foreign students to interview.... My time in legon we had about 30 Caucasian students from USA.. Political science class alone... So many students from USA and other African countries....
Akufo hall? Wtf is that
I like the fact that she choose Ghana university, such a sweet place to study 📚.
Do a university tour please ....ashesi,Cape coast uni and all of them pleaseeee.....that will be a nice series...thanks
Will do!
I've never seen such positivity, enthusiasm and love for a country before. If I were overseas, this lady would make me wanna relocate. Big ups🙌🙌🙌
I'm from the caribbean but my eyes is on Africa.....i really love the mother land.
@@nemesisprime2993 Do visit whenever you have the chance. You will find ''homes'' away from home..♥♥♥
The campus is beautiful i love the fact that its so green and huge.
JUST LOOKING AT GHANA, I CAN'T WAIT TO 1DAY VISIT THIS BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY, I m from Kenya via the U.S.GREAT VLOG FOR SURE.
I’m thinking of moving from uk to ghana… i don’t wanna go to university in the UK i feel like i will be a lot happier in ghana
The University is massive and beautiful, I loved the air view. Such a great value for the money! She is so beautiful, wonderful outgoing personality and that smile. I liked your outfits very cute.
When I think of a university campus, something like this is what I imagine. It's beautiful and very green. The style reminds me of Stanford's campus.
Aawww that Nubuke human is so lovely, I like her smile :)
As a Legon baby you Nubuke should be showing us all the nook and crannies like Vandal city, romantic Accra-by-night crescent, VCs lodge, Little Legon and Ayedo flats etc.
You just appeared here giving yourself fans. Mtcheww 🤩🤩🤩😎
@@kofig3724 look at that, you seem to know the locations 😂. You do it!
Nubuke Definitely has the best LIFE! bing in Accra but still in this beautiful functional place. I wish there would build more communities like this.
I really enjoy this kind of content. I always wanted to see some universities in Africa.
Thank you, what other kind of content would you like to see?
The campus is so huge, some times you need a taxi to go to the other part of it. Beautiful campus can match some unversities in the west
Yes ! Being a legonite is the best ever. The campus has everything you need. I also am in favour of a part 2. We enjoyed great entertainment on weekends. There are churches of many denominations, lots of student groups. Bush canteen and dining halls. The botanical garden, the new modern University Medical Center, so much space for walking or just strolling. Romantic places, lecturers residences, hotel/visitors accommodation like Yiri Lodge, Ford Foundation.
You can see I love my University of Ghana and I have attended a very prestigious university abroad but being a legonite is the best. Go Volta Hall!
Cheers to new beginnings the African experience ,new narratives
Fresh eye's on the other side of the world # most insightful # one love fr Jamaica 🇯🇲
This was so amazing! Oh how I miss Ghana. 🙏🏿🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️
Love the video 🤩 omg 7 am classes i could never 😭
I’m proud to be a legon student 💕I was in Evandy hostel 💕
🇯🇲 Building architecture, landscaping & general infrastructural layout looks very modern & harmonious.
Once saw a video of a university in Kenyan (lecture hall & dormitory) and was so disappointed with its dinginess, antiquated furniture & peeling paint on the walls.
wow i have never seen an overhead shot of Un. of Ghana b4
looks beautiful
Thanks
I love this video. Please do an interview with an administrator who deals with international students. I would love for Caribbean students to consider studying at Ghanaian universities.
This is surely a great advice. However the cost of Travel to Ghana might be the main hindrance to such Students.
The tuition fee is ok and Cool and the payment might be in US Dollars or Pound Sterilng.
So Carribean students be very careful of Gh Universities because of the cost of living.
@SOURCESTV GHANA Crime and scams are rising all over Ghana.
So the foreigners ought to be very careful indeed.
Let us stop pretending Ghana is a paradise.
More foreigners than Ghanaians fall victim especially in hotels and Beaches.
That's what's App.
@@jamesbedukodjograham5508 crime is every where, no one saying. Ghana is paradise. I live in London our garage has broke into number of times. So dear crime is everywhere. I was pushed around by youths in my own neighborhood walking one afternoon to my house.
@@maameodo4451 I live in Canada and 2 polish guys broke in to my house and took all of me and sisters jewelry while I was at work
What an opportunity for an official of the uni to contact our Vanessa Kanbi to showcase the entire campus ☀️🙏🏾
@@unitedafrica8778 wow that’s cool. Reminds me of OAU in Nigeria (formally university of Ife). I’m not sure if it’s still as nice as I remember, but it had similar vibes to this including hills and forests.
I love this interview, really really nice vibe, we need a part 2
A good discovery of the University of Ghana Legon campus, very informative as always !!!
Absolutely delightful video! Informative inspiring endearing!
Proudly Ghanaian,thank you Kwame Nkrumah

Memories of Legon lives with you forever. What a place. I am privileged. Thank you for the video and many thanks to Legon. You made me what I am today.
The University of Ghana is beautiful! Nice interview.
I loved walking around the campus! 😁
Love the University so massive, you two basically got the same outfits so nice
That was so much fun to watch, and O those drones shots! 👌🏾
Thank you! I love those shots too 😁
Okay, I'm barely a minute in so far and-- did yall plan this color/fit coordination? 👏🏿-👏🏿 Love a good sync if not 💕
And since you mention it at the end, I definitely watched the entire video 🖤 Love and respect your content Vanessa!
What a beautiful college campus
Excellent cinematography (especially ariel shots), also good timing to take this video when it is green.
It's mostly green till dry seasons😄
I enjoy all of your videos, Ghana needs to hire you for real.
I have to say Mrs Kanbi your videos are always very informative and amazing. Please keep up the great work. Much love and many blessings to you.
Thank you! You too!
I used to love a spot behind the great hall called Accra by night. I was in commonwealth hall and I will take a stroll up the hill at night and see most of Accra .such a beautiful sight. This was in the late 90s.
UG good job with green environment keep it up more trees
Beautiful, clean and nice roads with pavements! Wish most of the streets in Ghana would have pavements too.
University of Ghana to the world!!!
Absolutely loved this video
Thanks!! What other content would you like to see?
met Precious Hanah one time.. she's cool and very respectful
We need part 2 of University of Ghana.
Vanessa are you a giant or on stilettos or is Precious shorter? This content is really informative.
Budget : simple and clear. Still cheaper than the UK for Foreigners . Precious, it is so nice of you to give your Impressions.
When to we get a tour of the University if you are authorised to do it. It is the best publicity I have seen for an African University.
many universities "abroad" don't even have campuses.
I always Like before I even Watch. 1 ❤️ Vane.
Same here 😅
My school 😘 the great OKPONGLO HARVARD 😍
I'll love it if you make a video about some guesthouses in Ghana...Accra and more cities...thank you Vane love you !!!
That’s my school. I had so much fun there.
Thanks for this video! I graduated from Legon from the School of Business (Bsc) in juli 1979, that makes it 42 years ago and have since then lived and worked in the Netherlands. Looking at the surroundings of Legon makes me feel very happy but at the same time makes me miss the surroundings of the University and Ghana in general. In my days the accomodation for students were much better than today, one had a room to him or herself. I guess the accomodation has improved as the number of students has massively increased. Thanks again!
No it hasn't sadly.
Mamprobi thanks for sharing your memories,
@@jamesbedukodjograham5508 You are welcome bro!
Damn I wasn't even born.

Great outline as well!!
That opening drone shot has me making a detour to visit the university. Great video, as always.
Thanks so much! You should visit!
@@VanessaKanbi I'll be there next week.
Wait one damn minute!!!!! $80 a month for accommodation - more or less $1200 a year when I pay $1300 a month in San Francisco???!!!! I feel like I'm getting scammed.
Great content. Beautiful place
Wow very nice one sister God blessed you Amen and Amen 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏
I'm a proud legonite, Vanessa please another video of Legon. Great Hall, different Halls, Balme library, lecture theatres etc

I plan on going back 😀
Vanessa we are waiting for tour in all the universities in Ghana.
This is beautiful.....nothing like any university in England..Massive
I’m sure the person that disliked this video is ignorant of what that button is.
They're probably trolls/bots or ignorant people who think life in western and eastern countries are great for Black people.
The person probably applied but did not get in.😊

@@redgoldgreen9960 how is Canada Babylon?
Vannisa, your great thanks for your video
Ooo Recycling! Pavement! How did I miss this oasis on my last visit. All the more reason for another visit.
Great to see the recycling on campus and it was definitely in use, as were the pavements 😄
A little trivia: The whole of Accra was supposed to look like this (Planning, architecture, etc), that was plan of the government officials way back then but it didn't pan out.
That would have been so so wonderful 🤩, and i am certain this is possible.
Yes u are right Nkrumah's regime was the best
No. The British actually planned Accra/legon. Accra would have been prettier than it is now, with public squares, fountains etc. Nkrumah changed the original British plan. The same British had a master plan for Nairobi, and it's been followed up to today
Well Legon is a masterpiece of Architecture from the 1960s,However it could have been better than it is today in 2021.
It is a human institution not perfect but it can get better with time and age.
Check social Media,Petty theft is growing throughout the nation of Ghana.
Last us keep Ghana safe from Thieves and Criminals.
Knust has the best campus... Well planned... It's considered the best university in West Africa and 7th best in Africa
Oh really, I need to check It out!
@Jake Kim Lie detected
Where’s this lie from 😂😂
It's greener we have a little forest reserve with stream passing through . It's beautiful
KNUST isn't bad but University of Ghana, Legon is better.
The food at the restaurants at Legón are fantastic. I can still taste the fried fish with shito. Btw, this my dad’s Alma mater and we visited in the early 00s
I smiled all the way through. Great content!
Did you coordinate your clothes? :).
My alma mater!!! Good to see
Hi Vanessa!! Very nice. Though I've never been to the UofG, I'm sure that it's an excellent institution to learn in🤗🤗. Very very nice. Please keep coming out with more vlogs!!
It is sure is a great School to attend If given the Opportuntiy.
The history and the Geography Courses are unpredictable because of the calibre of Students who accept entrance unto the School since the early 2000 decade.
I suggest Geography Geology and History as therapy for the University system.
Ronald Cutie you ought to visit the School soon.
@@jamesbedukodjograham5508 we'll see🙂
@@ronaldcuieii4775 Thanks for the reply.
Big up my sis Precious ❤️
God bless you abundantly
Vanessa give us Legon over view one day, hall by hall,
I hope our generation can make Ghana better. 🇬🇭 No bribe.
What strikes me, is the sheer size of the campus compared to the ones here in Scotland. It’s like a small village, I’d definitely be late for classes 😂 A lovely campus nonetheless!
The university. I love my school
You have to consider coming to university of cape coast
Great video
It is a beautiful campus
