I never did any magic myself, but let me tell you even now, after I know how you did all of this, I still enjoy watching you do it. You have some great skills there sir. 👍

Thank you for saying the Sponge Bunnies is in your top 3. The origional effect was created by Tom "Silky"Sullivan, with help from Karl Fox and Ron Baurer. It was originally called "Silky Sullivan's Multiplying Rabbits," then sold to Abbots Magic about 70 years ago. My father, Tom "Silky" Sullivan, taught me how to hand cut the rabbits in the 1970s. Eric Sullivan.
I need to open another account to like this video more. I can’t tell you how many countless magical moments I’ve had as a product of this video. Thanks Doug! 🔥♥️🔥
I went to a magic shop a few years ago and the man working there did this trick and it blew my mind! It was so fun, and I will remember that magic until I die! ❤ So fun!
I like that you like/answer every comment on your videos! And because of your short videos, I want to start learning magic. Can't wait to see my two girls in disbelief.
And here I thought I was gonna be bored I know basic palms, sure, but Doug is just too good. He literally explains how to do it, and still, I can't see when he's ACTUALLY doing it.
You know, I’ve seen other beginner sponge ball videos and routines, (some which weren’t graciously given for free like this!) and this has been a great routine for me as a spongeball beginner to practice and even perform for a few friends. Thank you Mr. Conn!
Thanks, Doug - Very comprehensive for some good choices. I'll start with that two ball routine as my go-to routine for now. I love it, and I especially appreciate your teaching the retention vanish. - Mike
Excellent video Doug. I’ve been performing the two ball routine for many years and I have wanted to take it to the next level. The The two in the , one in the pocket is just what I need. Thanks!
THANK YOU this is the tutorial I needed. The little tips you provide, like moving your clean hand first, and the fact that this is a proper video - that is stuff you'll never find in a magic book. Understanding vanishes for sponge stuff always eluded me as something really difficult to make look realistic... despite anything I've read or seen on french drops or retention vanishes. Yours just makes a lot more sense!
I’ve been performing the bunnies for many years, and it definitely gets great reactions ! In my routine, I secretly have the baby bunnies under my arm ( armpit ). That way I can show both hands completely empty, and when the spectator opens their hand to reveal that they’ve got two, I briefly cross my arms and say, “Well, would you look that. You’ve got both !” secretly stealing the babies. 😎👍
We used to do this one all the time at the legendary New York Lounge in Chicago. One reason that the Bunnies is such a good trick is that it was invented by Robert Nelson - a *Mentalist* who understood the psychology of the trick and how to create false expectations, essentially leading the audience down the garden path and then turning on the sprinkler system.
Been waiting for this one!!! Ty. Such a good trick and wanted all your thoughts on this. I saw that Papa Rabbit was being re-released by Murphy’s next week. Do you have experience with that? I know it’s just a few minor changes but are they even worth it? Daryl is a legend though so I imagine yes. I’ll grab it.
I actually have EXTENSIVE work on Daryl’s routine (it’s in my book & on my dvd set) and I will be releasing it as part of the member tutorials… stay tuned!
I’ve watched a magician use it in his set for over ten years on the pitch. I used to think it was corny but know I understand it is timeless. Smilesotheylikeyou
Tnx: I’m redoing the tutorials for my customers a Connjure.com and figured I would share them as part of these weekly Wednesday lessons… (That’s the plan through the rest of August)
@@DougConn I wanna upgrade my membership and do some one on one but my Internet is so bad. Like bad bad. Living in the sticks we only have 1 provider. Maybe I can barrow a family members Internet. We'll see.
I used have a set of red bunnies with a large red sponge numeral 4. I forget the maker. I'm talking over 50 years ago. They were fun to work. I enjoy working multiplying billiard balls and then I seen a man working soap bubbles. I wish I knew where he got them. I purchased a set just recently from Amazon. They are TRASH because you can see the seams and glue on the bubbles. The plastic shell ok but I can't find exact fit for real crystal which would be too heavy anyway I tried. His bubbles had to be glass hollow balls. Any clues sir where to purchase something like that???
Hey Doug! Just wanna know, does your sponge ball tip work with any type of soong balls? (the one where you soak it and then dry it) cause I would actually like to learn some classic tricks! Thanks.
I came to figure out the bunny trick and I'm stumped because when it was performed to me they had the first spectator put the bunnies into my hand themselves. Where did the babies come from?? 😳
You said if you have to pick just three tricks to do for the rest of your life one would be the sponge rabbits ,I want to know sir what are the second and the third trick that you want to pick for the rest of your life.

I’ve done the bunny trick for hundreds and hundreds of kids through the years and you are right it absolutely kills. Great presentation!
Great clip! And dang I never knew the "wetting of the sponge ball" technique.
Live and learn!

Great routine Doug, thanks for sharing!
You are amazing 💝
Question: do you prepare the sponge balls with water just once, or prior to every performance?
👏👏👏👏 good advice 👌 on the purse and balls routine I done this with handkerchief and coins and the balls too🪄
👍✌️🪄
Так вот как оно делается! А я думал что это магия. Потрясающе! Хоть я и не знаю английский, но я всё наглядно понял, спасибо! Ты очень крутой!
Just helping out with the algorithm. Thanks, gef
Really cool
“Hold on, youve got a hair on your shoulder there let me get it for you” then you “grab” the hare and show it to them, a trick and a funny joke
i still think this is awesome

That tip is specifically for “SuperSoft” sponges
@@DougConn ah okay, thanks!
Do you prepare your sponge rabbits the same as the sponge balls? How about multiplying bananas?
Only the sponge balls
such a bummer that the Goshman bunnies are no longer available...
Doug conn you put your name in the video also the letter C by the top hat
You should market a shirt that says ............got chops?
Cause you sir are the plethora.

You said this is a keller and poster behind you is illusionist magician Kellar
Did you ever make that tutorial for your professional sponge bunnies routine on your members area? :) Can't find it...
