I never see them fighting to use racial slurs from other ethnic groups, just the N-word... Italians, Latinos, Jews, Asians, etc. all have their slurs that even they sometimes use within their own groups, but none of these outsiders are fighting to use them, just the N-word.
A lot of white folks just love to to find ways to use the n-word in a black person's presence, then when you call them out on it, they'll say things like 'I'm just telling you what somebody else said'! Someone once tried that crap with me when I was a designated driver giving someone a ride home one evening. He blurted out the 'n-word' & tried to use the 'I was just joking' excuse. I stopped the car & said 'Get out..NOW!' He walked the rest way home. I don't play that!

My 6 year son, keeps telling his teacher every day since black history month started. Every time she teaches the kids about someone new. He informs her that that is a whitewashed version of black history. So every afternoon she allows him 10 to 15 minutes to teach the class about the true history behind each person.

Facts! I went to public school yet I was still homeschooled while going to public school. I started going to college in my sophomore year of high school and graduated from high school and college when I was 17. Finished out my BA in accounting when I was 18. Ironically it was my white teacher in the 6th grade that reiterated how racist the school system is. He taught black history ALL YEAR LONG because in the words of my 6th grade teacher Mr. Putnam said “Black History is History... period and it should be taught all year long not when the racists deem it”

My granddaughter teacher was trying to teach her class about Black History...of course she white washed it...My granddaughter came and was asking me questions about it of course I corrected what the teacher told her...then I gave this teacher a call to let her know if you going to teach the history of Black Americans slavery you need to research first and then tell the truth on the history of slavery or just don't teach it at all..what I will not allow you to do is teach my grandchildren the white wash version of our Black American History.

Hi from Michigan. When a kid shared this with me, I looked in the comments of the TikTok and found necessary info to contact the principal / school. I received an email from her a few days later stating they were aware and it was under investigation so I'm glad to see that it's gone viral and bringing attention to this matter. But I want to stand in defense of the young man recording as well. We tend to forget that our kids are just that...KIDS! They don't always understand microaggressions/racism and especially our young men who are often victimized and forced to be quiet. I give him huge points for having the wherewithal to record and bring this to our attention. THAT took courage! And someone needs to be sure that HE'S alright!

My parents had me watch roots when it first aired and the the story of MLK and talked about Malcolm X. When I was in high school I took black history course to learn about my history. This reminded my about my speech teacher in high school, she wanted us to pick a poem from a book and read it in front of the class. I picked a book of black poets and read poem in front of the class and I let them know that it came from a book of black poets. The teacher had the nerve to ask me privately was I prejudice. I told her that I wanted to let the class know that there were great black poets not just white people can write poetry. That teacher in Florida just want to freely say the N word. My question to her was so during slavery in America they called our ancestors that word because they were ignorant? Roland, when I was a little girl and I went to my grandfather and told him that a little whiteboy had called me the N-word in the park. I asked him what that meant. He showed me the current and a much older Webester dictionary and it said just what the teacher shared with the class in your video. Definitions do change over time based on how it's used by society at that time. My grandaddy also said next time call that little boy the N-word it will hurt him more than it hurt you. My grandfather taught us Black History before they ever thought of doing so in our schools. I'm in my 60's and those lessons have served me well. Just sharing. 🤔
I got fired from Dalhousie University over 20 years ago because they had a program for young Black people and the test was severely biased. I knew without even looking who would get in. In Nova Scotia, there are 48 distinct Black communities. The high school students that applied from these schools had significantly lower testing scores so could not get into the program.

This is a person trying to justify & normalize using a racial slur because he wants to publicly use the racial slur. He probably uses it all the time outside the classroom.

I’ve heard that philosophy before when I was in elementary. And it was told to me by someone in my family. I thought about it as it rolled from her lips. My question to her was so during slavery in America they called our ancestors that word because they were ignorant? The answer started as a stutter and then what came out of out her mouth were these words, no I’m talking about the newer version of the N word. I then begin to nod my head as I quietly removes myself from her space. Not only that but her child ( one of my cousins ) that’s my age backed her up as if that was going to justify the nonsense. Then mins later her other child walks out with the Webster dictionary to back up her fact. I admit I saw the word and the definition. However I knew better then as I know now that they were uneducated and had fallen for one of the ultimate traps. At the time I was in 5th grade. Thank God for my teachers at Mrs. Allen, Mrs. Davis, Mrs. Williams, and Our principal Mrs. Brown. Let’s push the narrative to end this madness. The N words doesn’t mean ignorant. Call me a N word and you’ll see the reaction.
Thank God for People like you Mr. Martin!! Keep fighting the good fights! Keep the forth branch Alive Free press, to keep people honest! Keep telling the stories as they are, so we can decipher history, and not allow those with a desire to falsify history, for there selfish desires, or to save face... No! Black History is only in one month in the South! I'm from Chicago, Black TRUstory was/is everyday in our school systems.
African American History is as long or as short as we decide it to be. For me it is 24 hours 7 days a week. We should not wait until a country that is not African Controlled tell us when, if or how we should be recognizing our culture.

There were only 2 people that had heard of Emmitt Till in my sons AP literature class here in Michigan. It's bad here. They took all the kids from Detroit for the money and closed a bunch of schools. Betsy Devos did a number on Black folks here.

Roland, when I was a little girl and I went to my grandfather and told him that a little whiteboy had called me the N-word in the park. I asked him what that meant. He showed me the current and a much older Webester dictionary and it said just what the teacher shared with the class in your video. Definitions do change over time based on how it's used by society at that time. My grandaddy also said next time call that little boy the N-word it will hurt him more than it hurt you. My grandfather taught us Black History before they ever thought of doing so in our schools. I'm in my 60's and those lessons have served me well. Just sharing. 🤔

I got fired from Dalhousie University over 20 years ago because they had a program for young Black people and the test was severely biased. I knew without even looking who would get in. In Nova Scotia, there are 48 distinct Black communities. The high school students that applied from these schools had significantly lower testing scores so could not get into the program.
Well, “ignorant” is one of the definitions and usages.
They love to say "you weren't there", then proceed to try to educate us as if they were there😉
