The 750 Himalayan is the RE bike i’ve been waiting for! If it has good quality long travel suspension with 200mm plus, it will handle rubbish British B roads and go off road. For me a grunty twin go-anywhere bike with a comfortable ride will tick all the boxes. Some small storage under the rear seat pad would be a bonus. I hope RE will give the bike a nicely shaped large capacity tank and some nice paint options like the lovely little Triumph 400’s. They could have a huge seller if they tick all the boxes!
yea they are even using the engine as a stressed member(speculations) like sm650 for better ground clearance instead of the double cradle. will be more than 200mm, even bear has 185mm .. so 200 plus is sure.

Horsepower will not see that much of a jump.. But the torque figure is going to be almost double. The piston diameter has not changed much. But strock length has changed very much. Longer strock engine than a 650 motor. It will likely produce maybe double the torque than wht a 650 offers now.
@iampranav100 the stroke length has apparently increased very much. That increases the crank throw too. So torque will be a lot higher. CC is swept volume. If an engine have a longer stroke even in the same capacity comparison, longer stoke engine will produce more torque than a short stroke engine. But at the same time short stroke engine will be on the revy side that means shorts stroke engines will be able to attain higher rpms which means they will produce better power at high end rpms. But adventure and cruiser bikes need a very good initial and medium end power. A long stroke 750 is perfect for that.

You can always get speed if you go used.
It’s actually bloody hard to do that - and keep the price down. Let’s just use the 690R - it’s 150kg and is $20K AUD. The Himalayan is 196kg and $9150 AUD. Also, with multiple cylinder bikes it gets even harder - 450MT is 196kg, $9500, and the 890ADV, which is just over 200kg and it’s $24.5K

Many people including me are waiting for these updated engine bikes. I have already put my purchase on hold for the Continental GT due to this upgraded engine. You're assuming that R.E won't even sell a single of these big bikes in India. But by sheer numbers of buyers and the growth in the spending power of the Indian buyers will also result in the sales of these bikes in the Indian Market.

its not going to produce more than 65 Nm of torque. Interceptor produces only 52Nm of torque while being a 650 cc engine
