The number of people that are going to be triggered by you wiping that bird crap into your nice new mitt! If you listen very carefully you can hear them all screaming into a cushion right now 😂 Merry Xmas Jon and a happy and prosperous New Year!
@@teemu3370 if you’re cleaning your car then as Strider says. If you’re out and about, especially in summer where it can etch your paint have a spray bottle of deionised water in the boot with some paper towel. Simply wet some folded up paper towel with the DI water and place it over the crap. Leave it a few minutes to soften it, then blast it off with the DI water. No touching, no water spots it’s dead simple. If it’s fresh and not dried you can just blast it off no need for the paper towel.
I own a dab dab & about 6 of the aliexpress equivalents Jon. The quality is night & day with 1 of the aliexpress mitts already coming apart after 3-4 washes & exposes the foam internals. I only use these on other cars I am washing now, the dab dab is exclusively for my Quad. I have used it probably 15 times now & it still looks like it did out the packaging. The old saying of you get what you pay for isn't always true but in this instance it's 100 correct.
Yo Brian. happy xmas soon bud. you could say its a bit like tyres on a car isnt it. But I do agree mate. these products feel high quality. my incredi pad must be 9 years old.
The Dabdab is my favorite washmitt since it came out. The Temu and Ali stuff is not always a copy. The brushes and paint brushes I bought are exactly the same some detailing shops sell for 5-10 times the price!
oh yer with some of the generic stuff it can be the same yer. dont get me wrong I get it and we all go ababababababadangangangangan hunting now and then dont we. But we also have to be carefull because it can strange the brands which are innovating and trying to give us quality. dunno though mate I dont have the answer and Im not a saint with aliaiaibababbababa
Top video. Any chance of you doing some screen wash comparisons ? Good time of year for it with the weather and the residue some leave on the screen. Cheers
Have been using dab dab for about two/three years. Its so much slicker on paint than microfiber madness and and rag company. Another one that’s great is work stuff storm mitt
been using this for a couple of months. for both rinseless and traditional bucket washing. As rinseless wash media is not recommended though, scratches the hell out of my paint, as a traditional one it's good
Chemical Guys wash pad, high quality chenille as requested and a tenner at Halfrauds. Not as stiff but rectangular so can be folded for easier holding and more clean sides to work with. Been using for 18 months and still looks brand new
Thank you guys. Merry Christmas and a Happy new year to yourself and the fantastic team at CP. Thx you for giving me the space to review and critise these products without killing me :)
Ceramic Coating mate? like honestly with those take your pick I would recomend something like Gyeon MOHS Evo as a good consumer base done you can get that lasts a couple of years.
Imo, materials like the Dooka seem to float on the soapy panel and not really cut into the panel like the dab dab looks like.. Generally, I do really like Carpro as a brand. All these newer US brands around but I keep coming back to Carpro. I've got the Delimit (for soft Japanese paint). How does it compare? I nearly bought the dab dab- I still might do The Rag Company Cyclone Ultra Wheel Mitt (2pk) yes! 2! Is a more similar material to- you should check that out. I didn't think I'd get on with the internals of the mit as it felt like you have to be a Star Trek fan- with the split finger thing they do. But when your cleaning the wheels it's like a super power giving me extra grip.
@@ForensicDetailing I noticed, Both seem pretty good. Delimit is a nice pad no issues with it, I like the finger band inside. It looks like dab dab has slightly longer and shorter lengths of stringy bits unlike the Delimit as that is slightly more lower profile of stringy bits i.e blue bits slightly longer then the white bits. Where as the Orange bits look much longer, Which probably helps with cleaning. Very cool to show it off!
Microfiber can hold onto dirt a bit more. I notice with the viscose blend that MM in the incredipad use it releases dirt better than their own delimitt for example with is microfiber. In terms of grit though Im not 100% sure mate its really hard to reliably test.
Utter nonsense. If we are talking about feel alone then the chenille mitts 100% feel rougher & more aggressive, even the more expensive, higher quality ones. They do not wash or hold up anywhere near as well either & I am speaking from experience. The whole thing around chenille being safer is completely misleading also. I remember the PVD test results & the only thing it proved was that chenille was safer when used dry. Who is washing a car with a dry mitt? 🤦♂️
Been using a DAB DAB for over a year. The wrist strap is way more useful than I expected. Best wash mitt I’ve had.
CARPRO DABDAB is the best wash pad I have ever used, and I have tried many. Highly recommended...ooh the strap is a life saver.
Its perfect imo, size, microfibre quality, shape, foam, wrist loop, the dirt release is very very good too, can't see anything beating it

😁
Can some of these people let me know how to deal with the bird poo then if not a mitt? 😢
@teemu3370 snowfoam then power wash off the bird poo before contact washing

@@Dan_vRS Oh yea, forgot about prewash stage since I was fixated on the bird dropping/wash mitt section

Can do mate yer there's just not mega Interest in it. But I'll have think
I bought one last year and i love it. Merry Christmas!!!!

It’s definitely worth the money, this and the MM are top drawer wash pads and are by far my favourite.
saw this mentioned in a comment on a recent video of yours. glad you’ve done a review!
Think that was me, it's SO good lol

Merry Christmas John and a Happy New Year ☃️🇬🇧
you 2 mate. thanks for all the support in 2024
Ive been eyeing up the dabdab and flat/spot. Good to hear more good reviews.
Chemical Guys wash pad, high quality chenille as requested and a tenner at Halfrauds. Not as stiff but rectangular so can be folded for easier holding and more clean sides to work with. Been using for 18 months and still looks brand new
yer its too floppy mate. im looking for like incredipad size and stiffness but chenille pad and twice as many noodles as standard
@ I hear you but it happens at our age Jon. Quality is superb though
I have 4 K2 mitts (Polish brand) for 6,5€ each. I am so happy with them.
It reminds me the Incredipad that i use and do not change. Carpro Dab Dab looks very good. It deserve its price.
Awesome will be adding one of these to the collection
I bought one because I like to pretend to be Sandro when I’m washing the car. It does help!
“It’s all about perfecting your technique” 😂 great guy
I hope you feel better soon!
Thank you for the review Jon !

Since i bought It Is my favourite One, and i like Carpro bag to storage it
Hey Jon , hey mate you did a review of a ceramic protectant I can’t find the video now. What in your opinion is a good one for under 100$
Thanks by the way
Ceramic Coating mate? like honestly with those take your pick I would recomend something like Gyeon MOHS Evo as a good consumer base done you can get that lasts a couple of years.
@ yes coating . Thanks for the info. Coffee’s bought
I still use the multiple mit method. Dump the dirty ones. 👍🏻
if you got a swirl free one why not. red perils a bit battered though mate
What model and year is the Porsche?
Its a gen 1 cable throttle LSD 996 carrera mate. 98 I think?
Jon when i saw that gray dooka wash pad that does let me thinking about a sheep that it looks like he dyed his wool before he sold his wool😂😂🤣🤣
Yo Jon - Happy Friday & Merry Christmas 🌟
Hey John where do you get them grit guards from 😊😊
Prestige car care mate Adams wash board add on for grit guard
Imo, materials like the Dooka seem to float on the soapy panel and not really cut into the panel like the dab dab looks like..

i think its very similiar to delimit or delipad really. but I will compare soon mate I just bought the delipad.
@@ForensicDetailing I noticed, Both seem pretty good. Delimit is a nice pad no issues with it, I like the finger band inside.

Do they have different colors?
Don't think so but someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
Not that I've seen. Pretty sure its the standard fluorescent orange.
Is it a "mitt" or a "pad?" If it is a "mitt," as you call it, why not put your hand in it so as to reduce the chance of dropping?
Im pretty sure we delved into this. but really its a pad I think m8
The mitt is terrible at releasing contaminants. If not for that would be the best. Prefer MM, TRC ultra or the kamikaze sponge
Do a ‘real’ comparison of micrfibre vs lambswool
Dispel that microfibre stores grit
Microfiber can hold onto dirt a bit more. I notice with the viscose blend that MM in the incredipad use it releases dirt better than their own delimitt for example with is microfiber. In terms of grit though Im not 100% sure mate its really hard to reliably test.
All hail the DabDab 🙌
Its great. Love mine 👍
Looks like shredded cheese!😅
I think calling the product a mitt is misleading. It's an interesting wash pad though.
i dont think its meant to be misleading I think its just a mistake. but your comment is 100% fair
What is the prewash king doing? 😮 jk, it's not that serious
I'm coming for you! 😜😜😜
Comparing this to a channel wash mitt I would still take the channel it feels safer the dap dap hardens up and scratches in my opinion
