very nice.... good work. i like it when people do something dfferent instead of all being sheep. hey, at 00:52 what wheels and tires are they? and are they 17mm hex? cheers fella
No problem, i used 6061 aluminium for the chassis, for the motor it doesnt matter, because they never spin at the exact same rpm anyway, and the vibration is not too bad. :)
they both have an ABmods drag mod, im an ABmods racing driver. It was way overgeared in this test run, one engine had a leak and it was near freezing temperature. i did another test later with a 2 speed transmission, you can see it on my channel, i think its radar test ... :) and i can mod nitro engine as well. :)
That will be nice :) i did it all by myself, started with doing a jig then used it to do the new chassis, i used a trimmer (small router) to do the outside edge.
I know it doesn't make much difference but it looks so cool smoke coming out of both sides it's just the idea is awesome nice job. I'm thinking you just drilled for hose for the motor mount
It was not setup well tough, it was not doing it any justice at that time, done properly its a huge power difference. I wish i had the time and the money to try again with the parts available now! :)
Theres a slight difference, the FTT version(bumpstart) have a turbo head button and a slightly different timing profile, but its not like night and day difference... :) The pullstart version is still plenty powerful.
Thank you for the reply about the throttle sync, another question I have is why you don't start both engines together, were they broke in the same or was one already running and the other came when you made you monster?
@chonyc77 thx, but, in this first run it was overgeared, with a center diff, and it is built like a truggy, so dont expect it to do wheelie as easily as a savage... i guarantee you it will keep up with a brushless on 6S. It was a first run so it was not setup right... Here it is on my bashing setup, geared for acceleration it still got 67 mph with ease and enought power to wheelie even with slipping tires. browse in my videos and look for ''twin engine truggy radar test run''
i just did a quick search for those wheels and not much came up. tower has some similar but are only 3 spoke with the chrome rim. im looking for all black. can you please tell me where i can purchase these from? thanks again.
I run all Lrp's now 28s3 and a 30x.. the 30x is getting modded but i did scoop a picco p3 for $30 that needs a con-rod. The same seller has 2 p3 27's i might grab also.. ive heard modded those will scream like a .21
These motors run wayy more efficient after some timing changes and porting. If you keep it wot all the time it will be. IErcm mods piccos clockwerks does also.. Ab mods etc.
@cafeboni Thx :) They are made by ofna, i think it was MT3 split .... not sure. they have them in different color, mine were white and i dyed them in black . :)
Thank you :) All you need to do, is line up the engine with the gear, both engine each side, they will both spin the spur gear the same way(center diff) the weakest engine will push/help the stronger engine, no matter which engine is slower, you dont need to do anyhing it will work. Id suggest to tune the engine one at the time tough. :)
@@MikePeperni yesss. Thanks. I thought but wanted to confirm. And the spur gear is metal? Which brand. I want to build something like that. Just for show purpose but has to work.
First let me say great work on the project. I give you much credit for that. Its just funny how even with two nitro engines, it still does not look to have the power a 1/8 brushless set up could give you. My Savage Flux on 4S looks to have double the power of those two engines, never mind 3S. Either way, great job!
i was thinking about a twin engine build myself. however i wanted to do it different than this. I've seen a few side by sides. but i want to do one engine for front wheels and one for rear wheels. I'm new to the hobby and just wanted to do something i haven't seen but also wondering if there's a reason i haven't seen it. thanks awesome build!
There is a reason. Nitro engines are not stable, so if the rear wheels get more power, it may spin out, and you will drag your rear wheels if the fronts speed up. It is an overall catastrophe.
@MikePeperni thank you so much, i found them. calles MT 3 splits by ofna in yellow green and white. but no one sells them in germany, too bad.. sadly i dont know when i get a change to buy them myself in the states.. we'll see, but thanks alot anyways. have a look at my picco p3 .28: watch?v=ydATQ1ZqEqs
+Maxx Mathers Hehe!! oui faut croire! le résultat final était plus violent avec ce truck la, j'ai un autre video avec une transmission 2 vitesses et il pogne 67mph comme comme si de rien était.
Do you really get double power just thinking if both engines are on the same spur gear and spinning at the same rate is it really double power just asking because I wanted to do this but I looked at like having two 12 volt batteries hooked up parallel it doesn't give more power only when in series
Theres a lot of factor that come into play, but its 2 time the power on the same spur, the added engine and tank add some weight but it is quicker than one engine only, a lot of power, i have a video of it with a 2 speed transmission geared for bashing and it got up to 67mph with not a lot of runway, and the chassis was not set up right, it was torque steering on acceleration...
Having two motors increases acceleration and allows a higher top speed since there is more power to counter-act the drag of air. You could also run a higher gear ratio/ bigger tires to gain a higher top speed because you have the extra power.
They both sounded beautiful together.
wtf
very nice.... good work. i like it when people do something dfferent instead of all being sheep. hey, at 00:52 what wheels and tires are they? and are they 17mm hex? cheers fella
Thank you :)
It is based on the OFNA Violator buggy drivetrain.
With the right gearing tuning and getting it synced right that will be a monster! paddle it up an go blow some snow! Nice!
thx! glad someone seen it was just a first test, it was a monster with proper gearing and setup.
Very kool!
Love the sound of those Piccos
One engine was older, they are the same, but one is pullstart, didnt had the money to get 2 brand new one identical :)
thx!
ca ces du twin!!! nice setup
ca doit etre vraiment cool a tuner \!!
Bravo 5/5
No problem, i used 6061 aluminium for the chassis, for the motor it doesnt matter, because they never spin at the exact same rpm anyway, and the vibration is not too bad. :)
Thx :) just took my time to setup the linkage so they open at same time. :)
Will take a look for sure man, love to see other's modded engines! :D
Yes , they are pretty powerful for their price. and even better once modified! :)
Awesome bro simple just awesome
they both have an ABmods drag mod, im an ABmods racing driver.

Thats one amazing machine
They are OFNA "3 splits" white wheels that i dyed in black, using rit dye :)
Tires are Bowtie MT..
I miss Ofna and Jammin so much
very nice project mike...im thinking about making a twin engine thunder tiger eb4... started designing the chassy
On a side note, that chassis looks awesome. I know its just 6061 polished, but damn.
Thx! :)
MikePeperni im thinking of getting a vrx 1E. Looks to be the same chassis. Did u have a metal fab shop do that chassis or did u do it yourself?
That will be nice :) i did it all by myself, started with doing a jig then used it to do the new chassis, i used a trimmer (small router) to do the outside edge.
One engine each side of the spur gear :) the tuning is not too bad,all in all, the stronger engine is helped by the other one...
You need to modify a bump box and ditch the pull start and drag race that beast
The total cost with engines mod was about
1500$, i sold it as a roller for 300$ to a friend.
THAT WAS AWESOME! CONGRATULATIONS!
awesome fabrication work...thumb way up!
Fav chacon thx! :)
Awesome build... 🏁
on a "normal" gearing i got it up to 67mph, using a 2 speed transmission. It was able to pull wheelies in 1st gear.. :)
Thank you :) It will be better once all the bug will be fixed. I will be able to let the engine rip :)
Its an hobbico handheld bumpstarter with an ofna starter disc on the shaft :)
at 0:49 or 0:54... what wheels are that? coolest ones i've ever seen. want to buy some for my own truggy.
I did a custom chassis, one engine each side of the spur gear. :)
Sounds so good
Best part of this video was towards the end when I heard Ozzy.
I know it doesn't make much difference but it looks so cool smoke coming out of both sides it's just the idea is awesome nice job. I'm thinking you just drilled for hose for the motor mount

Thanks alot, finally got the video up of my lightly modded lrp/buku speed runs if you want to check it out.
Live the song, Ozzy and Randy Rhoads kills this song so awesome.
I agree its an awsome track! But Crazy Train was Zakk Wylde :)
That is sick!!! Nice truggy!
Totally awesome project man!

@JokerPesca They are Panthers paddle tires :)
Nice idea and execution 10/10
nice car great video.... did you ever think of going gas? 1/5 scale?
i just did a quick search for those wheels and not much came up. tower has some similar but are only 3 spoke with the chrome rim. im looking for all black. can you please tell me where i can purchase these from? thanks again.

Rit die old school cool
Awesome Truggy, was syncronizing the throttles a pain or just trial and error?
Is the engine your using worth getting?? great vid
this is wicked -bad ass build..
Thank you! i thought about it , may be next year! :)
Its OFNA full offset wheels with Proline bowties MT.
hey mike what wheels are using on this, they look awesome.
Hi. Awesome. Dont know how come i see it 12 years later. Just want to know : how you combine the clutxh system to connect to center diff?
Thank you :) All you need to do, is line up the engine with the gear, both engine each side, they will both spin the spur gear the same way(center diff) the weakest engine will push/help the stronger engine, no matter which engine is slower, you dont need to do anyhing it will work. @@ivandrrccoffie7734 no problem :) it was metal, it was from ofna if i remember same brand as the buggy that was used as the base of the project.
I wud like to know more about the starter u r using
how mutch did it cost youu to make it and did you get your money back on it
sound is reminding me of that from a audi quattro S1.
Sweet sound

Hello there, I just wanted to ask you if you notice a significant difference in power between the bump start engine and the pull start engine.
Pretty impressive
How would the transmission hold up to this power
Awesome
Your right didnt noticed that until now :D
thx :)
Waho extraordinary brother 👌 👌 👌 🔝 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍
Oh , i dyed the wheels in black, i used the white OFNA wheel part # 81155
i was thinking about a twin engine build myself. however i wanted to do it different than this. I've seen a few side by sides. but i want to do one engine for front wheels and one for rear wheels. thats F'n maddd!!!!
5 starts 4 u

Looks beast
How much did it end up costing total?
That's awesome!
Why music over the engines ,why ?
Without the engines may be 800$ including the car used tobuld the truggy.
i wish i could afford such hobby :(
so am I right in saying you just had the engines put onto that gear on the dive shaft??? wanting to do somthing like this my self :p
Jethro Wittam Yes, just instal 1 engine each side of the spur gear and the clutchbells will make them run together. Goodluck! lots of fun to build :)
just have a center gear they both pull on...
Sa jaime sa très beau build 🤘🇲🇶 il faut plus de nitro fait 1ans je suis dans le nitro et pu jamais de électrique lol
Nice rig!!
Amazing!
very good video.
Sweeeeet good tork
Gas Hog ?
are you bilding any thing elce
hi dude, what tires and wheels? they look great!
+smwsh42 I dont remember their name, but they are from ofna, you can search in towerhobbies website you can probably find them there. :)
ive tryed to break an engine in during a cold ass day. its not easy.
couldnt you theoretically put the glow starter on one pull it then put the glow starter on the other motor and let the clutch do the work
no because the motor that isn't running has it's own clutch.
Lol
What wheels are those?
can you mod a picco when you are in europe?

The horror of getting your fingers cauught up in that...if you are stupid enough
Thank you for all the comments :)
annoying music is annoying
nice !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this song is off of scary movie lmao
nice...
Cómo lo haces
@HungDGunn It done it :) and its brutal lol you can browse in my videos, look for ''twin engine truggy radar test run'' :)
👏👏
Québécois!!
Très beau truggy mais votre ralentit est pas très bien réglé
Merci, un des moteurs avait un prise d'air plus riche que ca il ne performait pas.
No they arent... :)
