Appreciate your comment. Yes the Westerns have always been my favourite. Well remember my first ever sighting - D1066 Western Prefect on a southbound steel. What a magnificent sight and sound it made. And they were all "namers" and MAROON !!!! Not green like all the other diesels. Heard there would be another northbound later in the early evening. Managed to persuade my Dad to take me down to see it. D1058 Western Nobleman. 2 in a day ! Us young lads were spellbound.
