Another great vid Alex the duck hunting reminded me of the time I lived in Lake Cargelligo in the 70s did a lot of duck hunting up there plus Goats ,Pigs ,Foxes, Rabbits and the odd feral cat and that soup looked the bomb thanks for the entertainment mate .

hunting helps people to keep there sixth sense to warn of danger. was looking at the mountains of nundle in summertime 7 years ago and had a strange feeling and i turn my head and im looking at a red bellied black snake.

Hey mate awesome video! I am heading south to NSW soon to see family and want to do some fishing while I am down that way. I am just confused about when the trout closed season is for NSW?? Each website I visit and each NSW fisheries page seems to have a different response. Some say it's closed season now and some say it's later in the year then I see this video and my head is in a spin hahah! Would be great if you could point me in the right direction as I want to make sure I am doing the right thing. Cheers!
Yeah Will trout season opens October long weekend and closes June long weekend, but that only applies to designated general trout streams. If the rivers aren’t general trout streams then refs don’t apply. Also lakes are open to trout fishing year round.

Its not that mountian duck is bad per say its the fact the blackies teal and even woodies taste way way better and need less preparation to cook

Depending on distance though mate, that shot was pushing close to 40m, the only thing improving my shotgunning is time on clays

Shelducks have a less than good eating reputation here in NZ and I've had my fair share of disappointment. I think a lot of it comes down to over-cooking, making the meat tough and dry, and for some reason stronger tasting. I'd say you cooked those breasts about right, maybe a little underdone, but your hot broth would have taken care of that. Well done!
