Did yours have a augmented reality camera option? I'm just learning how to use dye trimble earthworks and payload management systems. Waiting on sitech to come out now and show me how to use the autos , payload etc etc. After almost 30 years playing in the dirt the excavators pretty much run them selves
Ok few more questions. When you had the new earthworks system put on did they have to change the harness and sensors also or would they inter change. When you cut slopes, do you need a laser with slope ? The cat dealer told me their grade control would not do slope unless the laser I had did slope also this doesn't seem correct to me. Thanks
Hatya05 that's because it's 2D. Komatsu's integrated excavator will do full 3D with semi-automatic control and grade protection. It also doesn't put sensors on the h-link or bucket, which are prone to being knocked off.
I had the 2D GCS900, upgraded to the system in the video. When Trimble fitted the new system they used all my original sensors. They added the new ECM and new harness. There’s a very small lag in the height data but not noticeable
Hey buddy, thank you for making great videos!! How does the automatics work with the Trimble GPS on the excavator? Also how much does this system cost ?
is the screen in real time with the bucket? looks to be. also do h think where the sensor is positioned on the back of the bucket could get damaged there? sometimes when u push rocks or hard material back it could get damaged. apart from that it looks to be a cool system! I would like to try it.
No you can not rotate. The machine doesnt know when you rotate. However you can buy a rotation sensor and then yes you would be able to do what you described.
no it wont. I actually have my hammer programed in as an attachment so when i hammering I know the depth I need to hammer to and I dont waste time over hammering.
That is one sweet system. It is better to work smarter then harder.
It is quite nice! I like it so far!
I love how it is Android based! makes it a lot more user friendly!
Sure does!
Trimble is a great company.

Thanks for the demo a few months ago Tom. I got an e mail from Mark about the 2 for 1 sale on the Flex system, so I decided to buy that system.
Nice! You will love it!
Hnc&
Nice tutorial
What do you like better, running skid steers or excavators? What are you better at?
What's the cost? Do you think I can put it on my 305c cr? Thanks.
Can see where this would be awesome in waterways and pipe work.
Love your videos
Did you ever get to upgrade this to automatics?
Great video what did that system cost you to get installed on your mini
Hey buddy, thank you for making great videos!! How does the automatics work with the Trimble GPS on the excavator? Also how much does this system cost ?
Looks alot more simple to reset compared to the Flex system.
Yes much more simple and user friendly

New Zealand Earthmover yes, it's common for operators to knock them off. Maybe not so much if you're an owner-operator and take care.
What does this cost? And where do I go!
Get on with it!
How weather proof are they? Could this system be run on an open cab?
How much? Did they allow you to trade up, or did you just buy all new?
You showed measuring from two points in a vertical line away from the machine, can you set a point, then swing to another point and measure that?
No you can not rotate. The machine doesnt know when you rotate. However you can buy a rotation sensor and then yes you would be able to do what you described.
Can you do a video setting up the laser with earthworks
What size screen is that
Is this better than iDig?
Please tell me how much this is I would love to put in on my zaxis 135 cool videos btw
Nice!!!!!
can you install Angry Birds on it?
lol, that would be great when your waiting on trucks...
How accurate is this system, and how much cost?
It looks amazing and I love your videos so much and I watch then every day and keep up the Great work
My head hurts
haha, its actually quite simple to use.
Please do a video using this soon i just tested cat grade control today and I wasn't impressed. This earthworks system seems much better.
I wonder how this compares to idigbest auto steer?
Where is the nearest dealer? Does anyone know?
How easily can you remove the screen if you don't want to leave it in the machine on a job at night
Very easy. I should have shown that... Its one screw on connection into the back of the screen. You can take it on and off in literally 5 seconds.
I understand the need for innovation, HOWEVER, when less skill can be required through automation, wages and benefits will begin to erode.
That's kind of the point. He's not in the business of making sure people have jobs and good benefits. He's in the business to make money.
Would using a breaker damage this?
Probably break the machine
no it wont. I actually have my hammer programed in as an attachment so when i hammering I know the depth I need to hammer to and I dont waste time over hammering.
Dirt Ninja it won't throw the imus out of calibration over time?
So using a breaker won’t damage sensors?
You have lots of freckles eh
Can you hold grade without that system, I doubt it.
That is a weird looking thumb
probably fun when that breaks
Havent had a problem with my old system yet. We will see with this one.
Sure beats a dude holding a stick.
Or me getting in and out of the machine 50 times to check grade!
can u do daily video

yes the dumbing down of the operator. no skill required
Nope just makes good operators great operators a shit operator is still a shit operator
3 Topcon reps dislike this.
lol
