Delay wake-up beats it…but u also gotta duck block to not get hit by his low starter…at least on pc….a lot of ppl don’t use the block button so it will definitely work on quite a few ppl

The sisterhood is because he has some demons under control which are woman. I remember him calling ashra that the sisters are waiting for her to come back. And then she replied about freeing them as well.
I think she meant that she was going to kill them.

I fought your Quan Chi a few days back as Omni Man and Tremor. Solid rounds.
There are also some other field of bones shenanigans from far if you use Motaro or Kung Lao teleport. If the opponent is full screen, do standing 4 > far/very far field of bones > kameo teleport. Full combo after teleport.
Happy feet is my fav brutality.

But its very similar to Sub Zero's/Sindel's HTB Vortex since it coveres wakeups other than Delay.
You can do this same thing with Sub Zero/Jax Kameos with Quan.
Kitana has this Unblockable throw into WindBomb with Jax in corner with 50% combos. Abd did this since first month of the game.
Rain has Unblockable loops using Jax
Sindel still has infinite unblockable Resets
Most characters have forced reset into forced HTB using Tremor Kameo.

love playing Quan, but I think this is utter nonsense that won't be allowed and goes against NRS' vision with the character, kinda like the Sindel ToD with Jax that was an issue recently. I hope when they patch it out they give my boy an 8 frame d1 and make db4 take only 1 bar.

I think nrs probably wanted some crazy restands/resets considering that was a part of his kit in mkx and generally that fdb2 is basically useless for everything else if it doesn't offer a pretty good reason to give up damage for this. I figure they'll tone it down a little bit as it is too extreme but it'll probably still be a big part of his gameplan considering his kit has always been pretty 'crazy or unorthodox' i guess I should say

Ive known about this for a few days. Kitana has a much better setup with Jax. She gets way more damage and doesn't have to use bar.

That combo didn't connect one time lol The opponent can block the cage once they fall to the ground. It would be cool if it could connect, tho. In training set the dummy settings to "block after first attack and you'll see that the cage can be blocked
All you have to do to fix that is place the cage behind the opponent instead of below them or on top of them. Delay wake up is the only counter and even then it still your turn lol I think it works better with sub than scorpion though.
What about raidens teleport or scorpion/smoke mixup?
Every time I try to do the scorpion up kameo I just jump, can't seem to get it

No Delay wakeup evades the trap setup. You cant throw them in if they hold L2 then R2.
Its a very good setup and strong.
But saying it breaks the character? 7+ characters can do these type of setups and far more broken stuff. Kitana has been doing this since month 1 after release but she gets 50% combos into it and she has delay wakeup covered because how long her Wind Bomb stays down.
Still works for me with sub zero when they delay wake up. I just either have to make that read or time it very exact. Which is extremely hard lol.

From what I've tested, if havik does do it, quan can neutral jump into starting it again as a punish. @@Edgargle
Quan chiu still sucks in general. Easy to chase down, no escapes, very bad armour, low life, easy to block combos, slow pokes...
Worst character in the game by far. I don't want to hear Sub-Zero, I don't want to hear Scorpion. *This* character *SUCKS*

Honestly, I was expecting something a little more lucrative given the hype. It’s a strong setup discovery for sure but I don’t think it’s “broken” and ascends quan up the tier list. Other characters have similar setups with more damage and less resources required. It’s a good discovery but it’s not game winning against knowledgeable opponents. Still good content and info tho

it does not .... if you win by this setup it is cause the other player fucks up. delay wakeup block low and if u dont amp bf2 they can delay wakeup punish. it shouldnt win you more games then just the usual quan stuff

Not that good tbh. Setup itself is decent but you're giving up utility for a kameo thats pretty much only useful when you hit someone and you still keep all of the other issues that Quan has. If you want vortex just go Sindel lao its 100% better. Not to mention that you can just delay wake up lol.
