Moving very nicely! I really want to see how Luna Rossa's boat goes though. It looks *really* sleek - they seem to have removed as much as they can from the hull - more than Team NZ, I'd say. I'd bet on it being a rocket-ship.
There is a lot of development talk about the main foils but what about the rudder foil . It seems equally important in setting the ride height. What can you tell us about it
Gary, you will be aware that all teams are just showing their old foils with unavailing happening after measuring completed. No details of rudder controls but all teams seem to be having tilt gear being high above deck. ETNZ have such fine control of dip/rise of hull could indicate a gyro? cheers, Mike
Santosi, the wind on North Head was very light but down out off Browns Bay there seemed a good breeze. Wind reports will be given tomorrow on the America’s Cup channel that gives all team updates daily.Mike
This is Team NZ. So I’m unsure why you wrote a very nasty comment. Grant Dalton was extremely transparent why it is being raced overseas. Obviously NZ is not able to secure funding from billionaires as in other syndicates are able to do.
Seeing it towed fast enough to clear the water is as hilarious as it is amazing.
Interesting comment, thank you.
Rangitoto is moving past a lot faster than it used to.
New boat with new tricks! Mike
Smooth, fast and stable straight out of the box 🙂 ..looks like it the gap between the hull and water is less so it seems to fly lower
Almost if a gyro was stabilising bow to stern movement! Mike
I think they’re after ground effect. Birds use it gliding over water.
John, perhaps not, birds don’t drag their feet in the water!

But does she have enough bulk in her front section to prevent a nose dive in a heavy sea around Barcelona? Mike

Cheers Mike. I've been hearing a bit about her ability in light winds, any idea on windspeed?

America’s Cup.Com today’s report that wind was around 8 knots and increased to 12 knots. Mike
@@airflownztravel for this boat to have that speed and shape in such conditions is quite astonishing. Thanks mate
Great comment, thank you! Mike
Is it much faster than the old boat?
She gave a real burst of speed towards the end of her run. Reports are sure to come of actual speed x wind speed, Mike
See how fast the trail disappears
Let’s hope that’s where the other boats will be! Mike
This would have been shot on top of north head ?
Yes, the problem is to be lucky in finding her as no destination info can be given out by teams!
Is she quicker up on the foils with the spooned stern compared to her predecessors?
I have yet to catch that! Many folk have said they are still using the old foils. Mike
Have we seen her in choppy water yet?
I know when she races in earnest the waters are supposed to be calmer but it can get rough.
I will try and chase that up! Mike
Rocketing along...
So smooth and stable! Mike
If it was team nz they would be having the race here , millions an millions of tax payers money wasted, I hope it sinks
Its amazing how thick the average New Zealander is with comments like this.

@@elisiva2583. I suggest that a one Mr Pyle is not the average Kiwi nor does he represent Kiwi mentality.
Cheers. Ak, NZ.
