It's like if someone is researching Germany in the 1930's, and discovers that their grandfather fought for the Axis. They know the history, but they discover they are far more involved than they expected.
@@liamwhite3522I mean if you're German, your ancestors fighting as an axis solder not that surprising. Like I'm Hungarian. If somebody told me that one of my ancestors fought in I'd not be surprised
On top of this, they have the collective universe all searching for remnants of lost history; I can imagine that every time a minor discovery happens, it gets shared. So when someone finds a storage device with a song about “the first war” they learn that there was both a first, and at least a second war. And over 20 thousand years collating a bunch of little pieces, I can imagine that a pretty good picture of history could be made.
They've been actively trying to uncover their history and the history of the universe as a whole for thousands of years. The story specifies that the physical impacts of history weren't altered, just the memory of history. Archeology is a thing.
You keep saying "god". I no think it means what you think it means. More like a sufficiently advanced civilization is indistinguishable from dieties... until they FAFO a more advanced civilization.
Humanity rurned into necrons?!
Humanity was living Asura's
Humanity uno reverses the "delete history" button.
Humanity found the recovery button.
@loganshaw4527 problem: they both look the same.
Nah, backup and restore history.
For a race that doesn't know their own history, these guys seem to know an awful lot about the past and how they got where they are.

There are gods, Psalm 112.
There's only One God, and He chose to become human. Would you expect to understand Eternal?
