It was better when his brain would only break every once in a while. Like when they’re making the jihad tape and freaks out or when the frat kids tase him lol

We want good girls gone wild. It's important to see the transition, watch the process.." -Dennis Reynolds
My favorite "happy Dennis" moment was when he bought the old range rover from the fantasy football guy and was driving around listening to Rick Astley picking up the gang.
08:31 I'm so glad meg brought up charlie's pass out pose. it gets me every single time. def in my top 5 episodes and probably the one i re-watch the most
I cant even count how many times I've rewatched the entire show, all seasons, and I've never noticed his face down pose before in this episode lol. Its so good
12:30 a lot of us miss happier calmer Dennis too Some of the best moments in the show come from him, Mac and/or Charlie being happily in-sync with one another on something ridiculous despite it seeming like something Dennis could just as easily dismiss as stupid imo. Case in point being this ep, coming up with the Dayman song at Charlie's, the Dave & Busters/Paddy's dollars scheme, the gang recycles their trash, Vic Vinegar & Hugh Honey, etc. etc.
Agreed! Maybe im a sap but i love seeing them act like friends. As Glenn would say, i need it more grounded. They always fuck eachother over so much, i need to see why they actually stick around eachother
My favorite happy Dennis moment was when he bought the range rover from the fantasy football guy and he's driving around picking up the gang listening to music 🤣
same. As much as I like golden god Dennis, I also like the parts of him that are genuinely enthusiastic about things, or even his pathetic side ("This doesn't represent me")
I think Glenn is overthinking the "I eat stickers all the time" joke. It's funny because of Charlie awkwardly justifying his actions in that moment. It's not about Charlie sitting at home with a sheet of stickers and chowing down.
Dee throwing piss out the window, it landing in Mac's face and her drunkenly calling into question whether or not it is appropriate etiquette will always be my favorite scene on the show ever.
Dee drunkenly singing Runaway Train is also definitely up there among her funniest moments. That and her slamming her head into the car always gets me.

I know when he was doing AP Bio (which I enjoyed) he wasn't writing for the show as much, and I honestly think that's why some of the later seasons (Season 13 for example) just don't live up to the earlier seasons. You're too important to all of this!
Don't be sad, it's not Glenn's fault but that show deserved to flop. I'm sure he did a great job voice acting but that wasn't the problem. It's more the political pandering, many of the jokes being just "white people bad" and the god awful writing. People don't like being told they are privileged while they work their ass off every day to scrape by, by people that grew up way more privileged and with way more handouts than any normal person is given, not because of color of skin, but because of wealth.
@user-gj9yi8hj7w 100% correct. It must be hard tho for a genuinely funny actor and writer to read those scripts and awful culture war"jokes" he must have known when he was reading those scripts that that shoe wouldn't work

@@rollzfresh I’m great. The Birds are in the Super Bowl. Mac was as close to a “real life ‘hero’” of mine for many years. As mentioned, attended the same high school. Very similar tastes in comedy and sport. But it’s just a fact he’s gotten incredibly soft. Truly one of my favorite episodes. I’ve seen it almost a hundred times and I still laugh when Dee throws her pee out the window and when Dennis talks about the “poison glaze” while coughing
This whole season is effin gold. My personal favorite is "The Gang Wrestles for the Troops". But you got this episode, DENNIS System, Kitten Mittens. EPIC!
I remember when I first watched this episode, ever since then it's been one of my favorites. One thing I've always liked is when frank says "switchola! " don't know why but it always gives me a chuckle.
Also Dee Throwing her piss out the window and it hitting Mac in the face with it is one of the funniest scenes ever, Just macs reaction 🤣 I can picture that being Kaitlin's reaction when she woke up in the hotel and Rob had pissed all over her in their drunkin night 😂
Glenn snapped right back into being Dennis with the sterile room comment. 😂👏🌟🤣 I reenact Dee singing Runaway Train while I'm driving to my fella all the time. 😂 also a family friend of mine in a cop in Philly and got bit by someone on new years. 🥴
Dee is outstanding in this episode when she’s drunk and all up on that runaway driver 😂 … when she describes him as having a “tiny little body” … dead.
I hope the show (and of course, the podcast), NEVER ENDS!!!...with the podcast you have managed to pull off the impossible: I actually look forward to Monday mornings now!!!
The whole "I eat stickers all the time!" impromptu extended dialogue from Charlie should have been in the actual episode; that was perfect Charlie Kelly.
Meg with those sneaky one liners. "Turn her water on." Lmao that and the single nipple through the glory hole comment during the liveshow got huge belly laughs out of me.
i'm thankful for this one being such a top tier episode to have introduced me to the show for the first time. and looking back on it.. I never thought I would ever be at my 27 years of age, still being obsessed with these beautiful people just like i was as a 14 year old kid.
I agree with Rob, this is one of your best episodes... crazy how I always thought/remembered it like it was on season 4. I remember when Charlie passed out due to the burnin chairs I laughed so hard I got sore throat
Easily one of the funnest and funny episodes! Not enough credit given to the sheer fact they did all that work and never left the city. What real road trips feel like all too often.
49:09 Charlie’s explanation of his feelings of how this show makes him feel home is exactly how this show brings me extreme comfort and ease of my anxiety that the current world’s chaos gives me. The show helps me ground myself with familiar faces that helps me realize that I’m not alone. Thanks guys!
19:45 This is why I stopped being a PA for film shoots. I was asked to stop cars driving to their homes because of the sound. I felt so stupid and during the course of the shoot, I just stopped stopping people 😂
I have never laughed so hard as when I did when first seeing this episode and they open the back of the uhaul and Charlie and Dennis were both passed out from the smoke 😂😂
This is my favorite episode of the show, maybe in my top 5 episodes of any show. I've hooked so many friends who hadnt watched or thought they disliked Sunny with just this episode. Everytime the scene where Charlie and Glenn are found in back passed out plays, people are falling off couches laughing. 11/10.
Once I seen the Eagles won and they're going to the Super Bowl I got so excited, also thinking that may be another opportunity for another Super Bowl episode!
Rob or Glenn or Charlie: in the rare chance one of y’all see this comment, from minute 12.00 to 13.30 in this video literally encompasses the answer to something I’ve heard you guys asking eachother about in so many other episodes of the podcast which is “the magic” Glen misses that , Charlie and Rob see the value and as a huge fan, I believe this may be the best episode of the show ever made because of the simplicity, genuine love for eachother that shows from the characters and the freedom that comes with simplicity. I don’t think there has ever really been a show brave enough to just say, we know what the fans want and we’re going to go backwards to a time or theme we’ve already done because it’s simply and it works and even though there’s a risk of it being stale or feeling unoriginal, we want to bring back the simplicity, nuance, and rough edges from when we were a smaller show and all we had was a simple story about a road trip, eachother , and comedy. If anyone can pull it off, you guys can. I literally believe you could “repeat” the old seasons exact feelings and dynamics with different very basic and simple plot lines(that honestly don’t matter much) and it would absolutely go gang busters. Good luck guys I really hope the universe Carries this message to your brain 🧠
33:14 charlie is the wild card character as well as danny but he is just the funding but also a companion that can translate charlies idiotic antics for the gang to understand
I went to the Grand Canyon, in December, a few years back. We had slept in the back of the minivan and woke up to a 4 degree morning. We were on the north side of the canyon, and went in search of a place to hike. We were passing a little pullout area (there was a kiosk with maps and such), and we saw 4 puppies huddled in the sun, trying to get warm. They were probably about 8 weeks old. We rounded them up and put them in the warm minivan. They immediately fell asleep. We drove to the nearest place to buy food, which happened to be a gas station. They were so hungry! We ended up keeping one pup, and adopted out the other pups. As our puppy got older I noticed little quirks. She's not a normal dog. She has a diagonal gait, she pounces on things, and she howls, if left alone. One of her siblings was DNA tested, which came back as 50% shepherd, 50% unknown. I am 99.9% certain the "unknown" part is coyote. We still have our coydog. She is awesome!
So true, it feels like every few days I’m referencing the show haha. It’s just so relevant seemingly ALL the time. Kind of reminiscent of the way people referencing Seinfeld became pop culture because it was so relatable.
I’m still waiting on a moment that makes me laugh, I’m glad you had yours, I’m happy for you. I’ll get mine one day, 15 years…what’s another, I have faith.
Super excited for this podcast. The gang hits the road is easily my favorite episode of all time, it just flows so well and there isn’t a line wasted. It’s perfection truly
This show is great because its filled to the brim with great craft. The work, energy and intention that they've infused into it shines as the best example of a modern show. This podcast just ices the cake. Thank you guys for 20 years of hard work and laughs!!
Episodes like this make me want the gang to some redux podcasts on some classic episodes because this is an all timer and they talk about it a ton and it’s awesome!
One of MY FAVORITE episodes. And the scene w Dee and the runaway kid and Mac and the piss. Might be my favorite scene from this episode. Idk. It's too hard, don't make me choose!!!! Love you guys!
I can't believe Meagan said "Rob would've just sucked somebody off for a cup of coffee" 😆 LMFAO What an on the spot remark to make during Glen's French press story..... PURE GOLD Meagan. 👍 ❤ ☕
42:37 It's even funnier because in the episode they say everything EXCEPT the actual state (West Virginia). North Virginia! South Virginia! East Virginia!
I laughed so hard when I noticed that. And that none of them says Pennsylvania. I think Mac says Philly, which is hilarious, but they don’t even list the state they live in.
Really enjoyed you guys breaking down the episode and where so much of the bits came from. Hope you'll do this more in the future! One of my favorite episodes too.
49:19 Hearing this from Charlie is probably my favorite thing that's ever happened in this podcast. I love how genuine he was about the entirety of it all. I personally felt it. The guys tried to pitch in but Charlies brain was in a deeper mindset, especially when mentioned that it was the floor that did it for him. He sounds like a legend like Danny and his Taxi days.
Mac just calling everyone "Bozo" is only of my favourite underrated thing in the episode.
Get me the snapper bozo
what are you doing to my friend bozo?
i also think A LOT of us sunny fans miss dennis NOT being angry all the time. i miss his colours, too

Truly one of my favorite episodes. I’ve seen it almost a hundred times and I still laugh when Dee throws her pee out the window and when Dennis talks about the “poison glaze” while coughing
oddly, the grill sliding thru the uhaul door is one the funniest jokes on the show. KAtlheen singing runaway train is amazing.
The timing of the grill falling/sliding out the back, Mac's scream of "Is that piss?!"... so many great bits.
This is the episode I always recommend for people to watch when they tell me they’ve never seen the show before.
I would recommend the whole season (5) for any first time viewer.
My brother also recommended this was the first episode I watch to decide if I wanna start from the beginning… he was so right
the christmas special is my go to
This one or the water park episode are solid intros. Just the gang being their classic asshole selves!
I like the gas crisis and kitten mittons as well for a new viewer. All of them show each characters personalities excellently
I cant tell u how happy it makes me when I check utube Monday morning and there's a new podcast ready to watch 😀
This whole season is effin gold. My personal favorite is "The Gang Wrestles for the Troops". But you got this episode, DENNIS System, Kitten Mittens. EPIC!
The Maniac
I remember when I first watched this episode, ever since then it's been one of my favorites.
One thing I've always liked is when frank says "switchola! " don't know why but it always gives me a chuckle.
That weird line gets me, too. Like it’s an ABSURD idea to him, but .25 seconds later he’s like “yeah sure, I don’t like that truck anyway”
It's the same to me as "oooooh snortsky!"
Like Frank just has his own personal names for things and ideas lol.
Yes gives me something to look forward to on a Monday morning for sure
Best part of Mondays!

Meg is very meh

This is in my top 5 episodes that I come back to for a laugh. Mac's reaction to getting pissed on by Dee gets me every time.
Runaway train was the funniest part of the episode 😂 I still audibly laugh every time
“Danniii I’ll bake you into a ziti!”
i'm thankful for this one being such a top tier episode to have introduced me to the show for the first time. and looking back on it.. I never thought I would ever be at my 27 years of age, still being obsessed with these beautiful people just like i was as a 14 year old kid.
This podcast ep was great! Great mix of commentary about life, behind the scenes, random stuff, lots of jokes
36:27 I love this little bit so much.
When they find the cassette tape and it's "inner peace is an attainable goal, you must release the anger and aggression inside..." 😂
This is incredible to hear where you guys were coming from and how you wrote these episodes. The humor is so relatable
glen's "ideally" cut away had me laughing way too hard
19:45 This is why I stopped being a PA for film shoots. I was asked to stop cars driving to their homes because of the sound. I felt so stupid and during the course of the shoot, I just stopped stopping people 😂
Dee also loses the car that she was "gifted" by Bill Ponderosa in season 6, and seems to lose a range rover in season 13.
I have never laughed so hard as when I did when first seeing this episode and they open the back of the uhaul and Charlie and Dennis were both passed out from the smoke 😂😂
Changed my life lol
Some kind of poison glaze!!
And you would F the Sunny cast?
The delivery of “poison glaze” is one of my favorite lines in the entire show
@@phaaaze9984 Nah not your favorite.
As a bit sports ball fan, the eagles is just a fake sports team from the greatest tv show ever made.
The grill is by far one of the funniest scenes. I can’t tell you how many times I would rewind that scene.
Hahaha! I was hoping you guys would put a clip of Kaitlin's creepy drunk performance in this episode. Legendary!
Love the mention of Charlie face down in the Uhaul. That has always been one of my favorite subtle visual jokes from the show!
This is the first episode of Sunny that I’ve ever watched and I’ve been hooked ever since. I love this show and love these guys even more.
I hope y’all know how much you’ve influenced our genX/millennial folk. Our generation’s Seinfeld.
Folk
So true, it feels like every few days I’m referencing the show haha. It’s just so relevant seemingly ALL the time. Kind of reminiscent of the way people referencing Seinfeld became pop culture because it was so relatable.
Isn't Seinfeld already the Gen X/Millennial Seinfeld?
Seinfeld was Gen X's Seinfeld.
Mellinial/genz
This was very first episode I saw. I nearly died at the "is that piss?! Is that piss?!" line. I've been hooked ever since.
This is probably one of my top 10 episodes. Dee singing “Runaway Train” always makes me laugh.
I’m still waiting on a moment that makes me laugh, I’m glad you had yours, I’m happy for you. I’ll get mine one day, 15 years…what’s another, I have faith.
Mac and Charlie buying and trying the pear is peak Sunny
I thought for sure they’d bring up “bozo” from this episode. Still makes me laugh.
Rob really gonna say "Be like Glen. Don't let anyone stand in your way of your meal" and yet we have Rob Justice....
The scene with charlie eating the stem and sticker of the fruit cracks me up everytime
One of my fav episodes! I really hope they do a podcast at the bar and we can see the behind the scenes.
Season 16!!! Genuinely so happy you guys have managed to stay killing for so long. Watched from season 1!
I rewatched this episode for the podcast and I think the laughs per minute are top three ever
The “Ocular Patdown” joke is one of the top three single jokes in the show. Amazing that it was improvised by Rob!
This is one of the greatest episodes of always sunny, can't wait for this podcast!
Episodes like this make me want the gang to some redux podcasts on some classic episodes because this is an all timer and they talk about it a ton and it’s awesome!
I have a feeling all this past episode review will make new season really really good.
"I eat stickers all the time, Dude!" Is my favorite Charlie line.
Congrats to Rob (and Ryan) on Wrexham being in first place. I can't wait for season two and to, hopefully (one day), visit the Racecourse for a match.
Scratch, Sniff and Taste would have been such a good joke. "Since when?" haha
Can we get a list of every episode Glenn has put in his "top ten"
One of MY FAVORITE episodes. And the scene w Dee and the runaway kid and Mac and the piss. Might be my favorite scene from this episode. Idk. It's too hard, don't make me choose!!!! Love you guys!
I can't believe Meagan said "Rob would've just sucked somebody off for a cup of coffee" 😆 LMFAO What an on the spot remark to make during Glen's French press story..... PURE GOLD Meagan. 👍 ❤ ☕
I can't believe Glenn added that Rob would've given the guy an espresso and then sucked his cock to get the caffeine that way lmao
A perfectly placed cup of half full coffee has a dramatic effect on Rob
This was the episode that got me into the show in middle school. My friend's older brother was watching it, and I was instantly hooked.
Thanks, Charlie! Thanks, Rob! Thanks, Glenn! Thanks, Megan! 🎙 #TheAlwaysSunnyPodcast #ItsAlwaysSunnyInPhiladelphia
