"And, we've just seen a goost" Loved this from the early 80's, with the Knight, who plays for the Harlem-globe trotters in his spare time. Biggins loitering around the house with his partner, doby the house elf, looking for the lord, to give him a dam good seeing to. Miss Hawk going on about, how she's longed to see it, and touch it. Lord Dark senior, who lives in his kitchen and pretends to sculpt a plastic Knight, with a squashed head. Not to mention the red Renault 5, and the pretend well in the garden - "Over here!" Oh' the joy.
Brilliant, they don't make classic kids telly like this any more.
I've been searching for this for ages! Children must have been bred thicker and thicker, most of my classmates couldn't understand this at all!

Actually, the Tall Knight was played by the late Peter Mayhew, aka Chewbacca in the original Star Wars trilogy.
Haha hilarious summary
"The book room - whatever that is?" I'm guessing her parents were cousins.
The Golden Book of the Tall Knight and Miss Hawk is after it. So remember watching this as a kid at school.
"Edward, you read far too many books"
Sorry?! I thought this programme was meant to encourage that.
omg how long did it take her?!
All of their voices are posh but Ms Hawk sounds like the queen
She played the same character in only fools and horses in 83.

Who saw this and was of primary school age when it first came out? Did it improve your literacy? ;)
Londonman84 Me. It did nothing to improve my literacy. I was more into just watching it as entertainment as a kid.
insane.
She needed a pencil & paper to work that out?
Well it was the early 80s. Google hadn't been invented yet!
I'm the only one that hasn't left a comment in about two years ago
Tracy used to give me a lob on when we used to watch this in English classes.
Tracy looks far too old to be a teenager. She looks older than Miss Hawk.
Better than Ms Duck I suppose! :-D
lol
Well that wasn't much of a cliffhanger, was it?
Worst episode ever.
