(Baby names not in the top 1000) After 5 years of infertility, we are finally pregnant after our first round of IVF and I am SSUUPPEERR struggling to find a name I love! I've been watching your videos for so long now (always was hopeful aha!) And I would love, love, LOVE to see a baby names/girl names not in the top UK 1000 (or at least 500)
I'm so wanting a name that is not used often, but that people may still "know" of if that makes sense (my partner isn't as into the super unique names as I am) I just so desperately want to find something special, and not a name loads of children in their school year would have also xx IT'S JUST SO HARD!
I highly doubt you'll see this, and I know there are many more popular videos choices people are after right now, I'm just struggling big time 🙈💕 xx

A little correction - Persephone's mother, Demeter, wasn't Mother Earth. Demeter was the goddess of the harvest. Ge/Gaia is more commonly seen as Mother Earth; she is said to be the first being (if I remember correctly) and she birthed the Titans, and is the personification of the Earth. Her name seems to be where we get words like geography and geology, as well as her Roman name, Terra (terra firma, etc.?).

I study classics and am a big mythology enthusiast (particularly when it comes to Greek Mythology). I could go on about myths and heroes forever but i thought i would add some names to your list that are a little less known!
Helios- the sun god and also where we get the word 'helium' is involved in some great myths! you could use the more wearable derivation 'Elio' which means the same thing and has a great 'o' ending.
Pasiphae- one of helios' daughters who isnt the nicest lady but has a pretty phenominal name!
Thalia- the funniest, friendliest of all the muses whose name means 'to flourish'. She supervised the comic arts and idyllic poetry.
Electra- means 'shining bright' and is the daughter of Agamemnon who was the leader of the greek army in the Trojan war. :) xx

Also, I think it’d be really cool to do a baby name list based off of American presidents, American First Ladies, American first children, American Congressmen and women, etc! I’m from the States- been watching Baby name Monday since day 1!

A few of my favorites, I like Hermes, Apollo, and Zeus, for boys, for girls, I like Artemis, Athena, Hera, and THALIA. I think god and goddess names are the coolest ever! I wanted to give some of them to my children because I love names which are out of the box but still recognizable and usable. And maybe even classic. I’m actually planning to do that. I want to name my son Apollo, and I want to name my daughter THALIA because I love these names! They are gorgeous.

I know I have seen comments that you pronounced Calliope correctly, however I did used to work with a Greek lady called Kalli whose full name was Kalliope - pronounced Kallie-O-Pea (rather than Call - eye -o-pea). Could be one of those names that has different pronunciations in different countries

Danaë is also a absolutly wonderful name! She was a greek princess and was so amazingly beautiful that Zeus really wanted to have a child with her. But Danaë father had gotten a prophecy that his grandchild would kill him. So he never let Danaë ungarded. Tho one day she was outside and Zeus just could not keep it in his pants. So he transformed into a shower of golden rain and made her pregnant, so she gave birth to the hero and demigod Perseus(great boy name, with nickname: Percy if you want to) who later was able to slay Medusa by the help of using his shield as a mirror. If u are unsure of how to express Danaë just search online. It is suuuper pretty!!

Areia is my favorite🌹 Did you know that Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love had a war goddess form? They called her Aphrodite Areia, Worshipped almost exclusively in Ancient Sparta where she reflected the kingdoms value of battle- it was a rare place where even women were encouraged to be warriors (all hands on deck here). Areia is so feminine but badass at the same time, unique but not unrecognizable. I love it.

My 15 year old son's name is Raiden from Japanese mythology being the God of Thunder and Lightning. The night he was born there was a huge thunder storm and as he was entering the world there was the biggest crack of thunder and the room lit up bright as day with lighting. All these yours later I still couldn't think of a more perfect name for him.
