I just finished Bach's invention 15 and my teacher was like: "Yo man listen to beethoven's pathetic sonata cuz we gonna learn it next week" WTF I CANT PLAY THIS
My honest critique is, that it is overly rushed. And because it is overly rushed you lose the emotion which is so key to this piece. You play too fast. You are clearly a very good pianist, no doubt. But it lacks the emotions. The hard intonations. In the grave section, for example, you play almost everything the same volume. It is supposed to go from the first chord Forte- to super quiet and sad. Just my opinions btw. No offense.
@@ludwiggalaxy4277 Not true at all. Show me a standard version, with all the orthodox repeats, which is 7 minutes long. The ones you're referring to don't have repeats. Average times are 9-10mins. So no, he plays faster than normal, and much less dynamic.
This Sonata, in some ways, describes Beethoven's personality. It has quiet moments but also lots of passionate outbursts. I love it!
