It’s ironic how people criticize AI music, yet historically, ghost singers like Ashanti, Christina Milian, and Natasha Ramos often went uncredited while the spotlight shone on Jennifer Lopez. Irv Gotti and Tommy Mottola financially backed Jennifer Lopez to eliminate Mariah Carey, a move that didn’t work and was compounded by using the voices of young BIPOC women. This situation is similar to the controversies around Boney M and Milli Vanilli, where the real artists behind the music were often hidden. By using AI ethically, we reclaim the authenticity of the song 'Love Don't Cost a Thing' in a way that honors the true creators with a stroke of irony.
Can You Hear Me, Life - Inspired by Fabolous' 'Can You Hear Me' and Jay-Z's 'This Can't Be Life,' I created the beat using SUNO AI with prompts and freestyled the lyrics. Hearing just two seconds of instruments, I extended it into two unique tracks. This track explores themes of struggle and resilience, a sound that is both fresh and reminiscent of classic hip-hop.
