"Caststorm" is such a perfect name for a Castform evolution! I remember during my Fakemon days in High School, I made up an evolution that was dual type for each weather (in part because I thought Hurricane had better accuracy in hail as opposed to rain). Rain was Water-Electric for STABThunder, Sun was Fire-Grass for STAB Solarbeam, and Hail was Ice-Flying for STAB Hurricane due to my aforementioned error hahaha

There's already an ability that changes a Pokémon's type based on the terrain. It's called Mimicry. I don't blame you for not knowing that though, because it's the signature ability of Galarian Stunfisk. And it doesn't even learn any of the terrain setting moves to make use of it. So it's a useless ability on a forgettable Pokémon. There's also a move that's basically Weather Ball but for Terrain. But it's only learned by a small pool of pokemon that have better moves to run anyways.
I like to imagine that grassy terrain is essentially a giant cloud of pollen covering the battle field So those with hay fever be having issues when Hidden Ability Rillaboom is sent out onto the field

What about the Rainbow, Sea of Fire , and Swamp from the Pledge Moves? They acted as Terrain before that was a thing.
