There aren't a whole lot of songs that really hit me hard emotionally, but this one just made me completely break down. If you've ever lost someone you thought you'd be with forever, it's almost impossible not to feel a connection to this song. I recently saw Mumford in Bristol, TN, and I couldn't even begin to count the number of people in the crowd who were in tears. This is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard, and makes me that much prouder to be a fan of their music.
When watching this video I have a huge urge to hug Marcus Mumford, not only due to the way his song and singing melt my soul, but for the look of stoic sadness on his face as he sings. I've had that look on my face before and know it can only come from a feeling of intense emotion. His passion is beautiful.
some place in world there is girl, i loved so much, i remember her, she left me, when she was studying another country i never forget her. i think about her every time when i hear Marcus songs, i imagine when she is near to me and in my mind she never left my heart. but now i fell like shit when she is gone, because there is more then pain, there is my love, heart and mind never forget her, kiss, touch, and love... where are you now where are lost love?
Beautiful! I wish I could find the same song from the 6th! I was 2nd row and Marcus and I held eye contact for the best 15 seconds of my life! They are perfect :)
Simply beautiful, and I stress simply, that's the amazing thing about this genre of music, it doesn't need all the hightech equipment that changes voice and sound, amazing
Yeah Holland Road has also been referred too as Home. You might well be right. Mumford & Sons have been known to change their minds when it comes to song titles. Such is the way of musical poetry I suppose. I guess we will just have to listen to the whole album to see :D
Fellow audience members, it is important that the selfish fools who insist on yelling over the performers be swiftly dealt with. The responsibility to remove these cancers falls on us and oh, how you should you enjoy it. As you lift your razor to remove the cancer from the crowd, be aware that the audience observes your every movement, as, of course, they want the "problem" removed as well. So stand up for our artists and enjoy removing cancerous members from the audience.
Sorry guys, i guess we know its not I Will Wait. But it sounds like he's reminding this person that he misses them. We still havent heard the song called Reminder, right...?
You know that like, undescribably attraction you get to a certain sex that makes you certain that your either straight or gay or bi even? And it even may seem illogical because you think that you should be attracted to the other sex? Well I have something to confess. I kinda have a similar, undescribable attraction to Mumford and Sons.
nice representation of the name of the glorious and amazing band, but why would you take time out of your day which im sure must be pretty busy ;) and comment such a stupid quote.
Don't be too upset just yet. If you remember the deluxe version of Sigh No More had Hold On To What You Believe as a bonus track. Maybe the same will happen for this track.
When the one person, who also happened to be my best friend, went back to his ex-girlfriend after we'd been dating for a few months I couldn't stop listening to this song and remember the feeling of the warmth that would come over me when he'd stare into my eyes and then the hollow feeling of knowing it'd never happen again. This song is utter beauty and I could never listen to it without being grateful Mumford came into the world to make music because they are one of my loves now and comfort me
These guys seem to sing from the heart!..Which is what is missing from today's music. That's my belief! I love music and will continue to support it as long as the bands can remember where they came from and don't get money hungry..I will continue to support them all!
I love this song and hope it's a bonus track on Babel. "I Will Wait" is probably the song we know as "Nothing is Written," as they performed it in late fall 2011 with the additional chorus of "I will wait, I will wait for you." Marcus isn't crying, that's sweat. He's a huge sweater during performances. Everyone always thinks he's crying :) But the emotion on his face is just as gut wrenching as tears would be, for me.
Seeing Marcus's face...it's almost like he is talking to the girl that loved him...i feel your pain Marcus. I hope too meet you one day. I'd like to share our experiences and together we can move on. Love the music you guy's create.
I think he was although I cannot be sure. One thing I can be sure of, is I was in floods of tears. Something Marcus and co. can do without fail is connect with me emotionally.
I've been trying to figure out this strumming pattern forever and which chord he's playing that isn't c or g, it's either Am7 or E minor 🤷♂️ Does someone have a better eye than me?
maybe they just changed the name of this song for the album? have you heard the song "home" i was surprised it wasn't on the new album also, until i saw the tittle "holland road' and im pretty sure it's the same song. i might be wrong but who knows. i guess we just have to wait.
4:53 is a sad moment for humanity. Everyone is soaking up this beautiful music, recognizing it as a gift from a talented artist, until one man's disgusting ego RUINS the ending of the song for us all. What was a perfect moment is deliberately spoiled by a fool and this artist's gift is destroyed before he can even finish giving it to us. So, I ask you Mr. 4:53... what was so important that you had to yell at that exact moment? Now that your idiocracy is preserved forever, are you satisfied?
My friends, recognize that a concert is a holy thing! While tours may be long, each city is a night of rest along the path of the artist and a chance for their songs to be set free into the night. The music cannot be held still, replayed or undone... it is ALIVE!
ohhhhh, jeeeezz!!! this performance is amazing, it's got me crying and feeling so many different emotions, u can just tell by Marcus' face he was reminicing about someone in his past, probably Laura Marling, but neways....so so good, thanks for posting this!
Really? Oh lord thank you! I was so dissappointed when I saw that this song is not going to be on the normal version of the new album, you cannot imagine how happy I am now. :))
You can actually see the passion in his eyes. he's actually feeling the emotion of the song. Wow.

It's just so beautifull. My composure, where are you now?...
yup. That's the difference between a studio artist and a real musician. These guys are the real deal.
some place in world there is girl, i loved so much, i remember her, she left me, when she was studying another country i never forget her. i think about her every time when i hear Marcus songs, i imagine when she is near to me and in my mind she never left my heart. but now i fell like shit when she is gone, because there is more then pain, there is my love, heart and mind never forget her, kiss, touch, and love... where are you now where are lost love?
congratulations Mumford and Sons. you have accomplished to make me cry once more.
the emotion in his face is just...amazing. Good capture
Beautiful as always
One of my Top ten sons of all time and I have heard a lot of songs.
Same for me
The like button isn't enough to express how much I love this song. RUclips we need a LOVE button!
He sings this song with so much meaning.
September 24th. My life will hear beauty again.
I can't get enough! I was there and I soooo appreciate your sharing this I could not hear ever word he said this is beautiful
Beautiful! I wish I could find the same song from the 6th! I was 2nd row and Marcus and I held eye contact for the best 15 seconds of my life! They are perfect :)
One of my fav songs ever
Simply beautiful, and I stress simply, that's the amazing thing about this genre of music, it doesn't need all the hightech equipment that changes voice and sound, amazing
Excellent video, thanks!
This is a bonus track on the deluxe version of Babel, at least according to the play.com listings. So excited!
they seriously need to record this!!!
I wonder why this was a bonus track, it's become my favorite on the album.
This song could easily be passed off as a Bob Dylan or Ralph McTell. Folky goodness form the Mumford boys
Thank you so much for posting this. I'm way up in Canada and was lucky enough to see Mumford&Sons in Toronto last October.
Their harmonizing gives me chills.
Yeah Holland Road has also been referred too as Home. You might well be right. Mumford & Sons have been known to change their minds when it comes to song titles. Such is the way of musical poetry I suppose. I guess we will just have to listen to the whole album to see :D
aww the end.
i'm sorry but this song is perfect in sooooo many ways
Genuinely started crying !!!
It comes out in september! :D
yes.....i do think the same thing...to many folks yelling that out:-)
nice harmonies
enjoy this tune don't let the BP rise
perfect
Yay!!!
Ok cool, Thanks :)
AAAAA, perfeito demais, como pode ? ♥

Canon - PowerShot SX230HS 12.1-Megapixel Digital Camera
maybe he just thought its over and wanted to let them know how great it was be yelling "wouh!" - accidently 5 seconds too early... ??
I'm so sorry that Laura Marling devastated, but we got the Sigh No More record, Liar, and this song because she did.
Sorry guys, i guess we know its not I Will Wait. But it sounds like he's reminding this person that he misses them. We still havent heard the song called Reminder, right...?
That's it I'm gettin me a belt buckle, lol.
A Martin Vintage OM of some type. He usually uses Martin d-28's tho.
when is their new album out ?!
"take your shirt off?" JAJA
I think so... Must be a song from personal experience...
Whats he looking at?
I want your camera.
who knows. i guess we'll find out september 24. meanwhile you can check out my cover :)
that's such a disrespectful thing to say, he's married to Carey and obviously very happy.
If KD Lang & Tim Tebow had a son, it would be Marcus Mumford.
You know that like, undescribably attraction you get to a certain sex that makes you certain that your either straight or gay or bi even? And it even may seem illogical because you think that you should be attracted to the other sex? Well I have something to confess. I kinda have a similar, undescribable attraction to Mumford and Sons.
Am I the only one that's noticed the Laura Marling reference in this song with "Darkness Descends"
nice representation of the name of the glorious and amazing band, but why would you take time out of your day which im sure must be pretty busy ;) and comment such a stupid quote.
"Where are you now, where are you now, do you ever think of me in the quiet, in the crowd?"
These guys are poets who play and sing. Lovely.
When he sings this you can see he is singing this to the person he wrote it about... So much emotion just In his eyes!
You're probably right but you can see he's emotional, he always is when he sings white blank page. Well the whole band gets emotional
I don't know if he's shedding tears, but you can hear him trying to keep it out of his voice.
Don't be too upset just yet. If you remember the deluxe version of Sigh No More had Hold On To What You Believe as a bonus track. Maybe the same will happen for this track.

At 4:10 you can actually see the tears rolling down his face, amazing

Lord that is a beautiful man. And a beautiful song.

What kind of camera did you use to capture this video? It sounds great!
Seeing Marcus's face...it's almost like he is talking to the girl that loved him...i feel your pain Marcus. I hope too meet you one day. I'd like to share our experiences and together we can move on. Love the music you guy's create.
Oh sweet Jesus, his eyes
Thank you so much for uploading in such wonderful quality. :D
Oh I think I died and went to heaven when Marcus started singing.
That's really interesting to me, especially as a guitar player. The song is so, so, so simple (barely three chords) yet people react to it so strongly
XMrKramerX Probably because of the lyrics to the song.
It never ceases to amaze me how there is absolutely no difference in quality between them playing live and their cd tracks.
The emotion in his eyes. fkdsjhj
It's lyrical though.
I love how much emotion and passion he puts in his songs. Makes them relatable to a mass audience. Well done!
I think he was although I cannot be sure. One thing I can be sure of, is I was in floods of tears. Something Marcus and co. can do without fail is connect with me emotionally.
this is amazing

This song is a bonus track on babel on iTunes
i don´t want to doubt their true and deep connection to their music but i think he´s sweating, it is really hot under the spot lights
what happend @ 3:30 was it someone's voice in the crowd or did one of the boys start singing a non- chorus part?
Where the heck do they come up with these great songs?..they are so creative!! Steve Jobs got nothing on them!!
How many people get the reference to Bob Dylan in the Beginning with the people shouting liar ?
WHERE is Fryersmuck? Not that I don't appreciate your comment, of course.
he kind of looks like a young alec bladwin (red october anyone?)...
24 of september... then the new album comes out!!!!!!!!! can't wait
G, C, Em. I forget the order. capo 9
the reason is that they need songs for their next album in 2022
Sounds like someone rude enough to talk through the performance.
Why were they 5 hours from me.... without me? I HATE MY LIFE.
why do they scream so much? cant they just let him talk? :)
September 24th! :D And this better be on the new album!
i wanna have that giant flag behind the stage!!!!! (:
Hopefully this makes you sleep easy!
I dream of the day that I will get to see these guys...honestly. They have my heart! Great video by the way! (*_*)
awwwwww can't wait for the new album :)
