I mostly like the molded hair, but I think the blonde with the bobbed hair could use some painted bangs. The forehead looks kind of oversized and oddly round.
These are great for little girls when they play in the tub or at the beach. Mom's don't have to worry about them losing their clothes (or a limb) or ending up with crazy hair. They always end up looking fabulous! Love the diversity in style. I'm sure they'll have even more coming soon.
Ever since the Made to Move dolls were released, I pretty much disliked the Five Pointed Articulation dolls. BUT if you can someone find a way to make your own BJD from these, then it's worth the money! If I had the time and effort, I'd try and make my own Made to Move dolls from these cheaper ones. But since I don't want to destroy any doll parts, just in case I ruin one, I'll let the others who know how to do them properly do it.

These give me very "here's a cheap doll to entertain your child on your vacation" vibes. Like it's solid enough to withstand being thrown or dropped. The beach theme with the moulded hair gives the impression that Mattel is suggesting you can bring it into the water, which wouldn't ruin the doll or the moulded bathing suit. Plus if you get sand in the joints, it's not that big of a deal since there's only five joints. I'm not getting any of these. They're 2,25 times as expensive in Sweden (plus taxes on top of that).
I like how the dolls are coated in a pattern before the reveal in their tanks. 3:20 LOL! :D The way you turned the plastic packets into shopping bags was really good! :)
the whole color reveal series isn’t for me but the way the paint comes off is so satisfying to watch but i’m not crazy about the quality but i get it’s for kids
That bit about the clones at 3:10 got me thinking: a mad science lab would a fun doll room to make. You could attach "wires" and those LED light strands to the Color Reveal "tanks" to make them glow - maybe paint the inside a translucent green, so the dolls inside look like they're in some kind of fluid? The room itself could have lots of fake metal plating OR decrepit brickwork (depending on whether the mad scientist is working in a top-of-the-line facility or else some old manor's basement). For accessories, you could have test tubes, beakers, Bunsen burners, a workbench, a lab coat and black "rubber" gloves for the mad scientist... I definitely see some possibilities.
I like the color change accessories! If you don't want to deal with water or holding ice cubes, I stick my cold color changing things in the freezer for a couple minutes.

The dolls are cute. I too wish the swimsuits were removable. The lack of articulation makes them essentially mannequins. Any plan for a posh Barbie swimsuit boutique? You could do some more cover ups and towels, floppy hats and sunglasses.
MY favorites are the african american faux-hawk doll and the brunette space buns doll :) Would lvoe to have them, but have to hold off right now. I hope I'll be able to get them later on.

I wonder if the plastic under the painted on suit is flesh toned...then the painted on suit could be removed with acetone. That way they could change their bathing suits.

Wish they had short sculpted Hair like the other Color Reveal Dolls and those Hairstyle would be Wigs. Just like the Wigs from tht Ken from a couple Yar ago.
If the dolls had soft heads to body swap or if they could move their arms and legs out to the side I would buy them. But I'm pretty much done buying this series until that happens. Or if the mermaids come back

The molded hair definitely works with some of the Color Reveal dolls. i think it's a nice, clean look. Especially the ones with pixie cuts.

One way you can do it is by finding a picture of the beach and printing it out and taping it on the wall... i hope this helped!
